I am back with this short and sweet episode that's delivering some HUGE news --- Fear Not Included is closing off Season 1 at Episode 41! I cannot believe that this podcast has been live for almost 6 months! Crazy, right? I hope that you have been able to listen to and connect with every episode this far - whether it was in the English or Spanish version. And if you're new here or haven't caught up - I invite you to go give them a listen and catch up. It has been such an incredible journey to walk these past few months with you and share with you the lessons I have learned over the years or day to day. Through sharing them in honest and real raw conversations full of inspiration, faith, hope, love, and wisdom! God has opened this door for me to be able to connect with you wherever you are in the world! And for that I am beyond, beyond grateful!     What is standing on the other side of your fear?  I am so excited to be back this week with a very special guest, I spoke with her one time and instantly knew she had something amazing to offer and bring to this space for you friend! She has such a big heart towards helping others overcome their fear as she does in her own life after experiencing a very dark past. As you well know, one of the topics I love talking about in this podcast is FEAR. And on today's episode I'm chatting with Lauren L. Nelson, I define her as the perfect example of the phrase “Beauty for Ashes”. Lauren Nelson is a mother of two and the wife of a pastor. She has over 20 years of ministry experience with children, teens, and adults. Lauren wrote a children's book, entitled, “SHEROES of the Bible,” which tells the stories of 26 heroic women from the Bible who pushed past their fears and watched God do miraculous things because of their faith. Her book was recently published by Morgan James Publishing and will be officially released to bookstores December 7, 2021.     ¿Cómo te mantienes positivo o positiva y tienes lo que llaman  "pensamientos  felices" cuando todo lo que realmente sientes es todo menos eso?   Tal vez te digas a ti mismo que hoy es el día que vas a tratar de conectar con gente nueva o abrirte a tus relaciones actuales sin preocupacion de sentirte jusgado o criticado si no estan de acuerdo con tu estilo de vida poco convencional. Pero, te das cuenta que de nuevo, te encuentras con criticas porque no elegiste ser convencional.    ¿No es interesante cómo de ninos se nos anima a dejar correr la imaginacion, pero ya de adultos te dicen que debes ser serio y conseguirte un trabajo que cae dentro de lo que algunos llaman estandares "convencionales"? Y aunque si creo que la escuela y tener un buen trabajo es importante. Tambien creo que no se debe juzgar a alguien que decide que puede hacer un mejor futuro para si mismo a traves de un camino no convencional. Verdad?   Ahora más que nunca las personas estan eligiendo salir de las normas convencionales de trabajar y crear exito y riqueza para si mismos. Y la mayoria de esas veces, se encuentran con criticas de los demas. Amigo/Amiga, dejame decirte lo maravilloso que se siente cuando mi respuesta a "en que trabajas?" no es respondido con miradas en blanco, criticas, o el famoso "no es interesante como la gente pierde su tiempo, dinero, y vida en un titulo solo para hacer algo SUPER diferente despues?"   No puedo decirte lo satisfecha que me siento al estar sentada frente este microfono y poder compartir contigo estos mensajes semanales! Y tu mereces poder sentir lo mismo con lo que tu decidas hacer con tu carrera - ya sea un trabajo de 9 a 5 o tener tu propio negocio. Que No?!    Hablemos de eso, ¿Si? Aquí  hay algunos consejos para guiarte a elegir lo que es corecto para ti, mantenerte positivo en un mundo lleno de negatividad, y no caer en la tentacion de elegir un lado para complacer a los demas.   Porque amigo/amiga, la mayoría de las veces no eres tú, es lo que tu forma de vida no convencional hizo sentir a alguien con una mentalidad convencional y limitada - ¡y los sentimientos de esa persona, no son tu responsabilidad!   Mi mayor consejo que quiero que tomes del mensaje de hoy amigo y amiga, es que permanezcas positivo, permanece en la fe, y aunque este mundo está lleno de críticas y negatividad.     How do you stay positive and have what they call “happy thoughts” when all you really feel is anything but that? Maybe you tell yourself today's the day you're going to try to connect with new people or open up to your current relationships without feeling some type of way when they don't agree with your unconventional lifestyle. But again, you're met with judgement because you didn't choose to be conventional. Isn't it interesting how as children we are often encouraged to let the imagination run, but as adults you are told you need to be serious and get yourself a job that falls within what some call the “conventional” standards. And while yes I do believe school and getting a good job is important, I also believe that judgement shouldn't be given to someone who decides that they can make a better future for themselves through choosing an unconventional route. Right? Now more than before people are choosing to step out of the conventional way of working and creating success and wealth for themselves. And the majority of those times they are met with judgment from others. Friend, let me tell you how refreshing it is when my answer to “what do you do for work?” isn't met with blank stares, judgment, or the famous “isn't it crazy how people waste so much time and money on a degree just to do something WAY different?” I cannot tell you how fulfilled I feel sitting in front of this mic, getting to share with you weekly messages! & You deserve to feel the same way too about your life whether you choose the 9 to 5 job or to build your own business. RIGHT!? Let's talk about that shall we? Here Are Some Tips to Help Guide You Choose Which is Right For You, Stay Positive in A World Full of Negativity, & Not Fall Into Choosing One Side Just to Please Someone Else. Because friend, Most of the time it isn't actually you, it is what your unconventional ways of living made someone with a limited conventional mindset feel - and their feelings are not your responsibility!  My greatest piece of advice for you to take from today's message friend is to remain positive, stay in faith, and know that although this world is full of judgment and negativity.     ¿Tienes tendencia a querer controlar las cosas a tu alrededor todo el tiempo? ¿Te presionas para hacer muchas cosas incluso cuando sabes que tu cuerpo pide descanso? Amigo/Amiga, si eres algo así, sabes que hacer esto solo conduce al agotamiento, ¿verdad? Estar en la carretera durante la semana pasada, viajar de ida y vuelta entre estados fue DURO para mí - había esta fuerte necesidad de poner presión sobre mí misma y querer estar en control de todo! ¡A fin de mes, anunciaré una gran noticia! Pero mientras tanto, mientras navego por los cambios y todo lo que sucede a mi alrededor, encuentro una batalla sentir esta necesidad de controlar porque algunas cosas que suceden en este momento están fuera de mi control. Así que tuve que recordarme que realmente debía recuperar el control de sólo lo que puedo controlar, descansar, y concentrarme en lo que está pasando hoy - no mañana o no lo que podría haber hecho diferente ayer. Amigo/a, déjame ser completamente honesta contigo que a veces está bien darte tiempo. Estoy más que agradecida por todo el apoyo y el amor que ha llegado a mi camino a través de este podcast - y es por eso que me tomo esto a pecho y me aseguro de estar llena de energía antes de grabar! La verdad es que TÚ y yo simplemente NO PODEMOS controlarlo todo. ¡Y está bien! Porque a veces, ya sea que elijas creer en Dios, en el universo, o en otra cosa; para mí personalmente, no siempre tomo las mejores decisiones para mí de la manera que Dios puede. Simple pero poderosa verdad. Tengo esta NECESIDAD, este DESEO de asegurarme de que la vida va como quiero porque así no me tomara por sorpresa y sabré exactamente qué hacer y cómo manejar lo que la vida me traiga. ¿Pero cera asi? En el episodio de hoy, hablare sobre lo que quiero decir con esta necesidad de controlar, cómo respondemos a estas situaciones, personas o eventos si resultan ir de una manera diferente. Y lo que realmente importa no es lo que sucede, es cómo TÚ y yo aprendemos a responder y manejar esos momentos fuera de plan. Como seres humanos, es una tendencia tener esta necesidad de querer controlar! Deseamos control, porque queremos saber lo que va a pasar en cada momento y estar preparados. Cuando no estamos preparados y nos agarran desprevenidos tememos lo desconocido, el qué va pasar, y el miedo a fallar. Solo tu amigo/a puedes tener el control de tu propia felicidad, éxito y la forma en que eliges reaccionar a los eventos de la vida. La verdad es que la vida no siempre será fácil; pero cuando te pones en la mentalidad correcta, eso hace una gran diferencia. ¡En serio no puedo esperar a escuchar lo que piensas del episodio de hoy! Porque creme cuando digo que podría fácilmente haberme dado por vencida hace 4 meses. Pero cuando elegimos entender que no podemos controlar todo y a todos, cuando elegimos aceptar los tiempos difíciles, y cuando elegimos la fe sobre el temor - la visión de tu vida, la calidad de la vida que vives, y las bendiciones con las que empiezas a ser recompensado/a, ¡hacen un mundo de diferencia!

    Do you have a tendency to want to control things around you all the time? Do you pressure yourself to show up even when you know your body is asking for rest? Friend, if you are anything like this, you know that doing this only leads to exhaustion & burnout, right? Being on the road for the past week, traveling back and forth between states was HARD on me – there was this strong need to put pressure on myself and want to be in control of everything! At the end of the month, I'll be announcing some big news! But in the meantime as I navigate changes and everything happening around me, I find it a battle to feel this need to control because some things happening at this moment are out of my control. So, I had to remind myself to really regain control of only what I can control, to rest, and to focus on what is going on today – not tomorrow or not what I could have done differently yesterday. Friend, let me be completely open and honest with you that sometimes it's okay to give yourself down time and not want to show up. I am so beyond grateful for all the support and the love that has come my way through this podcast – and this is why I take this to heart and make sure I am full of energy and feel pumped before recording! The truth is, YOU and I simply CANNOT control everything! And that's okay! Because sometimes, whether you choose to believe in God, the universe, or something else; for me personally, I don't always make the best choices for myself the way that God has and can for me. Simple but powerful truth. I have this NEED, this WANT to make sure that life goes the way I want because that way I wont be taken by surprise and I'll know exactly what to do and how to handle what life throws my way. But will I? On today's episode, I will be discussing what I mean by this need to control, how we respond to these situations, people, or events if they turn out going a different way. And what really matters is not what happens, it is how YOU and I learn to respond and handle those out of plan moments. As humans, we have this to need to control and its not that something wrong with you! As humans we desire control, because we want to know what's going to happen at every moment and be prepared. When we are not prepared and caught off guard we fear the unknown, the what if, the fear of failing. Only you friend can be in control of your own happiness, success, and the way you choose to react to life's events. The truth is friend, life won't always be easy; but when you set yourself in the right mindset, this is the game changer. I seriously cannot wait to hear to what you think about today's episode! Because trust me when I say that I could have easily given up, settled, and shut down 4 months ago. But when we choose to understand that we can't control everything and everyone, when we choose to embrace the hard times, and when we choose faith over fear – the view on your life, the quality of the life you live, and the blessings you start to be rewarded with, make a world of a difference!

    ¿Alguna vez has sentido que tu cuerpo o mente te están pidiendo un descanso, pero no sientes que es el momento todavía? ¿Tal vez no sientes que te has ganado un descanso? Después de estar casi un mes en México, pude descansar, refrescarme y más que nada desacelerar y tener tiempo para pensar. Y puede que te estés preguntando, ¿qué quieres decir Marisol con desacelerar? Porque si lo piensas, ¿En estos tiempos qué vivimos ahora que no todo es rápido y instantáneo? Solo piénsalo, ¿te has encontrado enojado porque algo está tardando más en suceder para ti que lo que estás acostumbrado? Tal vez comensaste un negocio, un nuevo trabajo, o como yo un nuevo podcast y ha sido solo un par de meses y no eres exitoso o exitosa todavia? O como si fuera algo super facil para ti! ¿Adivina qué? ¡Está bien! Porque a veces lento y constante es mejor que rápido e inestable! Y aquí está la cosa, a veces si hay que tomar riesgos y a veces los resultados rápidos son alcanzables! Pero, ¿qué sucede cuando tu mente o tu cuerpo te piden que disminuyas la velocidad pero no quieres escuchar a riesgo de ser juzgado o de quedar atras? Cada uno tiene su propio viaje, unos viajan más rápido que otros; ¡y está bien! ¡No estamos en una carrera aquí! No puedo decirte cuánto lucho con esta sensación exacta - la necesidad de velocidad y estar en modo de acción todo el tiempo! A veces me cuesta quedarme tranquila y estar bien con el tiempo quieto, el silencio, y simplemente estar en el período de espera antes de que llegue mi gran momento de celebración. Y no me malinterpretes, no hay nada malo con el ritmo rápido, pero quiero recordarte que no te pierdas en la velocidad rápida del mundo que te olvidas de disfrutar de los momentos simples y más pequeños! ¡Porque este tiempo tranquilo te permite recolectar energia, recolectar recursos y conocimiento, y volver más fuerte! Si no duermes todas las noches, descansas cuando tu cuerpo y tu mente lo necesiten, y desaceleras; ¿crees que tu cuerpo se sentirá con nueva energia todos los días?     Is It Ever Okay To Slow Down? Let's Talk About It!

    Having you ever felt like your body or mind are asking you for a break, but you don't feel like it's the time yet? Maybe you don't feel like you have earned a break? After being in Mexico for almost a month, I was able to gain some rest, get refreshed, and more than anything slow down and have time to think. And you may be asking yourself, what do you mean Marisol by slow down? Because if you think about it, isn't everything about the time we are living in now fast paced and instant?  Just think about it, have you found yourself getting upset because something is taking longer to happen for you than what you are used to? Maybe you started a business, a new job, or like me a new podcast and it's only been a couple months and you don't feel quote on quote successful yet? Or like it's secondhand nature to you! Guess what?! That's okay! Because sometimes slow and steady is better than fast and unstable!  And here's the thing, sometimes you do have to take risks and sometimes fast results are achievable! But what happens when your mind or body are asking you to slow down but you don't want to listen at the risk of being judged or falling behind? Everyone has their own timeline, some travel faster than others; and that's okay! We're not in a race here! I can't tell you how much I struggle with this exact feeling – the need for speed and be in action mode all the time! I find it hard at times to stay still and be okay with quiet time, silence, and just being in the waiting period before my big celebration moment comes.  And don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with fast paced, but I want to remind you to not get lost in the fast speed of the world that you forget to enjoy the simple and smaller moments! Because this quiet time allows you to reenergize, recollect resources and knowledge, and to come back stronger! If you don't sleep every night, rest when your body and mind need it, and be okay with taking it slow sometimes; do you think your body will everyday feel boosted and energized? See, if you don't slow down, you won't be able to recollect energy, think correctly, or make the right choices.     [INTERVIEW] Fighting the War of Negativity with Special Guest Ulicer Villatoro

    Have you been having a war with negativity? Maybe struggling with how to recognize or deal with it? This episode is for you! Today I interviewed one of my biggest role models and a true inspiration of what God can do with someone's life even through the toughest of adversities! My best friend and husband, Ulicer Villatoro. Ulicer is such a one-of-a-kind soul, and I don't just say this because he's my husband and he is here sitting with me – but honestly through today's episode I want him to just pour out some of that natural God given knowledge he has been gifted with. If there is anyone, I can say has helped me (aside from God of course) to become a better version of myself, it's him. And more than just talking about navigating negativity, we talked about tools that we have come to use that help us to move through it. Answering questions like, how do you separate yourself from the not so good moments and remain focused on the positive? Or what advice would you give someone who struggles with rejecting negativity from people close to them?  Ulicer shares how one of the most important things that has helped him reject negativity is acknowledging how much bad it has caused his mind, his character, our relationship, and most importantly his happiness. These four things have driven him to catch every negative word in every conversation, delete it from his vocabulary, and keep it from affecting his positivity. Living a positive life will always have better outcomes than living a negative one by allowing you to be a happy and confident being. Knowing the advantages of being confident will blow your mind. These can include having a higher performance, allowing an ease of being around other people, and improvements of mental health. Some additional tools we talk about in today's episode is challenging negativity on a word-to-word basis. Clearing your mindset of negative talk and replacing it with positive talk. Understanding how powerful words really are. In addition to 7 other powerful tools that can help you when you are faced with one of these hard situations where a friend or family member is being negative to you, about you, or just in general, and you just don't know how to reject the negativity.

    ¿Has estado confundiendo descanso con falta de motivación? ¿O tal vez estás concentrando demasiada energía en quejarte de que las cosas que no van bien y has perdido de vista lo que realmente importa en este momento? Hey amigo/a, yo eh estado allí! Si estoy siendo honesta contigo - como tu sabes este es un ven conmigo vamos a resolver esto juntos podcast - Yo estaba teniendo problemas con el contenido de esta semana. Y al decir problema, quiero decir que no tenía ganas de publicar - había una falta de motivación. Últimamente me ha faltado motivación. Como he mencionado antes, mi esposo y yo seguimos navegando una temporada difícil y parece que las malas noticias siguen llegandonos. Así que mi reacción inicial fue acurrucarme en la cama y querer dormir y llorar. Pero mientras reflexionaba sobre temas, me encontré con una cita de Alí Daniel; "hay una fuerza profunda en ser persistente y seguir adelante incluso cuando no tienes ganas". Porque aunque he podido viajar y disfrutar de un tiempo muy necesario con mi esposo y mi familia, no puedo evitar sentirme decaida por todo lo que sucede. Mi proceso inicial de afrontamiento es tirar la tualla y no quiero hacer nada. Y es en este momento que necesito volver al proceso inicial de comenzar este podcast y recordarme por qué estoy aquí haciendo lo que hago - ¡por ti amigo/a! Así que quería compartir esto contigo porque tal vez tu estas pasando por una temporada difícil en este momento, o tal vez estás sintiendo como que no quieres hacer nada hacia tu objetivo porque cuál es el punto. Y no me malinterpretes, necesitamos descansar a veces y nuestro cuerpo y mente requieren tiempo de inactividad para no llegar al agotamiento. Pero tambien, es tan fácil sobrepasar esa línea de límite y no querer seguir adelante más; dejar que la negatividad que sentimos gane y se apodere. Incluso cuando la vida va mal y se siente como si te estuvieras ahogando sin señal de que se acabará pronto, ¡recuerda seguir adelante incluso cuando no quieres! Si elegimos desmotivarnos y parar solo porque una cosa salio mal o no salio como lo planiaste  - ¿cuántas veces vas a dejar de hacer algo?  Tenemos que recordar por qué empezamos, cuál es nuestro objetivo final, y vivir cada día con un propósito!     Have You Been Feeling Like Your Lacking Motivation? You Will Want To Listen To This!

    Have you been confusing rest with lack of motivation? Or maybe you are focusing too much energy on complaining about how things are not going good that you have lost sight of what really is good right now and matters more? Hey Friend, I am right there with you! If I am being honest with you – as you know this is a come with me let's figure this out together podcast – I was having trouble with this week's content too. And by trouble, I mean I wasn't feeling like posting – there was a lack of motivation. I have been lacking motivation lately. As I have mentioned before, my husband and I continue to navigate a tough season and it seems like bad news just continue to pour out on us. So my initial reaction was to curl up in bed and just want to sleep and cry it out. But as I pondered on topics, I came across a quote from Ali Daniel; “there's profound strength in showing up even when you don't feel like it”. Because although I have been able to travel and enjoy some much needed time with my husband and family, I can't help but get shaken by everything else happening around us back home. My initial coping process is to ball up and want to do nothing. And it is in this moment that I need to take myself back to the beginning process of starting this podcast & reminding myself why I am here doing what I do – for you friend! So I wanted to share this with you because maybe you're going through a tough season right now, or maybe you're feeling like you don't want to do anything towards your goal anymore because what's the point. And don't get me wrong, we do need rest sometimes and our body and mind requires down time so we don't lead to burnout. However, it is so easy to overstep this boundary line and not want to show up anymore; to let the negativity we feel win and take over.  Even when life sucks and it feels like you are drowning with no sign of it being over anytime soon, be reminded to show up even then! If we choose to get demotivated and stop just because one thing is going wrong or not according to plan – how many times are we going to stop doing something? We need to remind ourselves of why we started, what our end goal is, and live everyday with a purpose! Sometimes all we can do is take one step at a time, day by day, and be okay with the small progress we make! That small move is way better than no move at all!     ¿Estás Jugando Al Juego de la Comparación? ¡Acepta El Lugar Donde Estás Ahora En Ves de Donde No Estas!

    ¿Alguna vez te has comparádo con el camino de otra persona? ¿O tal vez te están sucediendo cosas buenas, pero estás más concentrado en las cosas que no van bien? A veces ves que en lugar de abrazar dónde estamos ahora y lo bueno que está llegando a nuestras vidas, enfocamos nuestra atención en lo que no esta saliendo bien. Ponemos nuestras mentes en modo avión, moviéndonos por la vida sin experimentar completamente lo que estamos pasando. Los pensamientos negativos se arrastran y tratan de derribarte, recordándote: "¿cómo puedes ser feliz en un momento como este?". ¡Y lo que es aún más loco es que luego comenzamos a abrir la puerta de comparación! Pero la dura verdad es que, en lugar de compararte con otra persona, lo que deberías hacer es compararte con la persona que eras hace un mes o un año. En el momento, la situación parece tan GRANDE, tan IMPOSIBLE, o ESO NUNCA VA A PASARME; pero ¿cómo saber si nunca has estado allí antes? Incluso si 1, 10 o 1000 personas antes están viajando en un viaje similar al tuyo, eso no significa que tu viaje va a ser igual. ¡Tienes un viaje único, con dones y talentos únicos que solo tú tienes! Recuerdo haber escuchado una vez "La comparación es un ladrón de felicidad" y realmente me hizo pensar. Porque si lo piensas, la comparación es como un arma de doble filo, puedes usarla para motivarte comparándote con dónde estabas y qué tan lejos has llegado. O puedes usarlo para desanimarte comparándote con alguien que ha estado haciendo lo mismo durante más tiempo. Y no soy nadie para juzgarte ¡porque todos somos culpables de comparación! ¡Pero es muy importante reconocer cuándo lo estás usando para impulsarte hacia adelante o cuándo lo estás usando para derribarte! ¡No te prives de aceptar tu viaje actual y las lecciones que está tratando de enseñarte! No te robes la felicidad y la satisfacción, reconoce lo fuerte que eres incluso en los momentos difíciles.  ¡Me ENCANTARÍA escuchar lo que piensas sobre el episodio de hoy!     Are You Playing the Comparison Game? Embrace Where You Are Now Instead Of Where You Are Not!

    Have you ever caught yourself comparing yourself to someone else's journey? Or maybe you have good things happening for you, but you are more focused on the things that are not going right? You see sometimes instead of embracing where we are now and the good that is coming to our lives, we focus our attention on where we are not. We set our minds on airplane mode, moving around life without fully experiencing our surroundings. The negative thoughts creep in and they try to bring you down – reminding you: “how can you be happy in a time like this?”.  And what's even more crazy is that we then start to open the comparison door! But the hard truth is – that rather than compare yourself to another person – what you should be doing is comparing yourself to where you were a month ago, or a year ago.  In the moment, the situation seems so BIG, so IMPOSSIBLE, or THAT'S NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN FOR ME; but how do you know if you have never been there before. Even if 1, 10, or 1000 people before are traveling on a similar journey as you – that doesn't mean your journey is going to go the same. You have a unique journey, with unique gifts and talents that only you have!  I recall hearing one time “Comparison is a thief of happiness” and it really got me thinking. Because if you think about it comparison is like a double-edged sword, you can use it to motivate yourself by comparing yourself to where you were and how far you have come. Or you can use it to discourage yourself by comparing yourself to someone who has been doing your thing for a longer amount of time. And I am no one to judge you okay friend, because we are all guilty of comparison! But it is so important to recognize when you are using it to propel yourself forward and when are you using it to knock yourself down! Don't rob yourself of embracing your current journey and the lessons it is trying to teach you! Don't rob yourself of happiness and fulfillment, instead recognize how strong you are even through the tough times! We got this friend and I'll talk to you soon!     ¡A la velocidad que va este año, realmente que está volando! Y me hace pensar últimamente, ¿cómo estoy gastando mi tiempo y qué estoy haciendo diferente para mejorarme este año? ¿Y tú qué tal? Mi esposo tuvo una forma interesante de explicarme “presionar el botón de borrar” recientemente, porque realmente estaba yo navegando algunos sentimientos difíciles. Y tal vez te hayas sentido así últimamente, así como que estás muy por encima de tu cabeza y ¿cómo puedes siquiera pensar que eres lo suficientemente bueno o buena para hacer algo que nunca has hecho? A veces queremos hacer algo nuevo, pero solo porque nunca lo hemos hecho antes, nos arrepentimos. Nos sentimos como “¡No! No soy lo suficientemente calificado o calificada para hacer eso, no tengo suficiente experiencia, no tengo suficiente conocimiento”. O decimos: "Una vez que esté donde quiero estar, lo haré, o una vez que tenga tanto dinero, lo haré", pero ¿qué pasa si incluso una vez que llegas allí no lo haces? ¿Ya para entonces te diste otra excusa mas? ¿Cuántas veces te has convencido de no hacer algo solo porque no te sentías lo suficientemente calificado/a como para hacerlo? ¡Pero la única razón por la que tienes miedo de hacerlo o sientes que no eres lo suficientemente bueno es solo porque nunca lo has hecho antes! Yo entré a podcasting, sin tener ni idea de lo que estaba haciendo o de lo que hablaría. Y mientras continúo este viaje, quiero ser súper honesta contigo, porque amigo/amiga, si te sientes atrapado o estás viviendo una vida que no amas, ¡debes reevaluarlo! No mereces vivir una vida con la que estas media de acuerdo, o "lo que sea con que salga para comer". ¿Dónde necesitas depositar tu depósito de fe para creer en ti mismo y saber que puedes hacerlo mejor? Si no puedes obtener suficiente fe para depositar de ti mismo, ¡Pídeme prestado un poco de fe a mí! ¡Porque tengo fe en ti, creo en ti, que puedes hacer un cambio y comenzar a vivir una vida que amas! Si sigues haciendo lo que estás haciendo esperando llegar a un lugar nuevo, lamento decírtelo, pero no es así como funciona. Sé que el cambio puede dar miedo, pero ¿sabes qué es aún más miedoso?     Navigating Feelings of “I'm Not Qualified Enough”? You'll Want to Listen to This!

    The rate at which this year is flying by really has me thinking lately, how am I spending my time and what am I doing different to better myself this year? How about you?  My husband had an interesting way of explaining “Hitting that delete button” to me recently – because I was really navigating some tough feelings. And maybe you have felt like that lately, feeling like you're way in over your head and how can you even think you're good enough to do something you've never done?  You see sometimes we want to try something new but just because we've never done it before, we run away. We feel like “Nah! I'm not good enough to do that, I don't have enough experience, enough knowledge”. Or we say “Once I'm where I want to be I'll do it, or once I have this much money, I'll do it” but what happens if even once you get there you don't do it because by that time you just gave yourself another excuse?  How many times have you talked yourself out of doing something just because you didn't feel good enough to do it? But the only reason you are scared to do it or feel like you're not good enough is only because you have never done it before! You see I stepped into podcasting, having no clue what I was doing or what I would talk about. And as I continue this journey, I want to be super transparent with you, because friend if you are feeling stuck or living a life you're not loving – you need to reevaluate it! You don't deserve to live a life your semi okay with, or “whatever pays the bills”. Where do you need to put your deposit of faith into to believe in yourself and know that you can do better! If you can't grab enough faith to deposit from yourself – borrow some from me! Because I have faith in you, I believe in you, that you can make a shift and start living a life you're obsessed with! If you keep doing what you're doing expecting to get somewhere new, I'm sorry to break it to you but that's not how it works. I know change can be scary, but you know what's even scarier? Staying in the same place hitting repeat over and over and over until one day you look back and wish you would have embraced change. I would LOVE to hear what you thought about today's episode!     Estas Permitiendo Que La Preocupacion Navegue Tu Vida?

    ¿A cuántas cosas le estas dando permiso o permitiendo que existan en tu mente? A veces te tomas la preocupación a la ligera y piensas que está bien vivir en preocupación todo el tiempo y siempre estas pensando en lo negativo. A veces, comienzas a compartir esa preocupación con los demás y a afectar los pensamientos de los demás; no solo a ti mismo/a te afectas. ¿Verdad? La negatividad y la preocupación siempre están listas para presentarse en tu vida. Si reflexionas sobre lo que paso en el año 2020, realmente tiene mucho que enseñarte que muchos de nosotros estábamos más afectados por la preocupación que por lo que realmente estaba sucediendo. Y al igual que la historia que comparto, ¡dejamos que la preocupación entre y destruya nuestros pensamientos, nuestra salud, y la calidad de vida que vivimos! El comienzo de la preocupación marca el fin de la fe, y seas creyente o no, ¿no preferirías tener fe y creer en algo que vivir en constante preocupación todo el tiempo? La Biblia habla de un hombre llamado Pedro y algo que él esforzó en todo momento fue que protejas tu corazon. Simplemente refleja lo que te recuerdo en cada episodio: ¡ten cuidado con lo que te estás alimentando mentalmente!  Entonces, ¿cómo puedes volver a concentrarte en lo que de verdad importa? Detente y Reenfócate: En lugar de decir por qué me está pasando esto? Pregúntate: ¿Qué me está tratando de enseñar? Aprende a apreciar lo que tienes: Piense en tu momento actual y realmente pregúntate por qué debería estar agradecido por lo que tengo. Cambia tu momento de preocupación por un momento de victoria: ¿Qué puedes hacer REALMENTE ahora mismo en este momento para llegar a tu objetivo? Comienza a mirar esos momentos de preocupación y dales la vuelta.     Are You Letting Worry Drive Your Life? Don't Let the Negativity Overpower the Blessings!

    How many things are you giving way to, or allowing, or dwelling on? Sometimes you take worry lightly and let your thoughts run off with it. Sometimes, you begin to share that worry with others and affect others' thoughts; it's not just you you affect. Right? Negativity and worry are always out there ready to take over if you are ready to pay attention to it. If you reflect back on 2020, it really has a lot to teach you that many of us were more affected by the worry of what was going on around us than what was actually happening.  And just like the story in today's episode, you let worry come in and destroy your thoughts, your health, and the quality of life you overall live! The beginning of worry signals the end of faith – and whether you're a believer or not – wouldn't you rather have faith and believe in something than to live in constant worry all the time? See, the bible talks about a man named Peter and something he stressed at all times was to guard our hearts. It just reflects back to the very thing I remind you on each episode – be careful what you're feeding yourself mentally!  So how can you refocus when worry hits? Stop & Refocus: Instead of saying why is this happening to me? Ask yourself – why is this happening for me and what is it trying to teach me?  Learn to Appreciate What You Do Have: Think about your current moment and really ask yourself what should I be thankful for that I do have?  Trade Your Worry Moment into an Aha Moment: What can you ACTUALLY do right now in this moment towards your goal. Start looking at those worry moments and flip them.     Welcome back! On today's episode we are opening up the conversation on FEAR and how to shift it into action. Because honestly, when is fear not trying to include itself in our everyday lives. Take some time today to ask yourself a very important and thought provoking question - “If you knew you couldn't fail, what would you do?” Maybe you have had a goal on your mind/heart for some time but instead of taking action you allowed yourself to focus all your energy on the possibilities of it going wrong. Don't you think it's time you stopped robbing yourself of a life you feel fulfilled and passionate about!? I want to challenge you today to tune in and start turning your fear into ACTION! In the words of Thomas Edison, “I have not failed.
