Meet Ewune Ewane, founder of Minds Over Melanin, an online mental health community for persons of the African Diaspora and non-Western ethnic cultures. Over the past 10+ years, she has studied psychological experiences and health disparities within minority populations, most specifically the African Diaspora and LatinX communities as a health disparities researcher. In addition, she has provided psychological services within various systems (e.g. educational, health, judicial) to minority and systemically marginalized populations as a Licensed Psychological Associate in Texas. The Truth Part 1: Authenticity, Transparency, Vulnerability The buzzwords authenticity, transparency, and vulnerability circulate, but do we know the difference. This is my last rant where I share with you what these words mean to me. Authentic - true to one's self.  Transparent - honest and open, not secretive. Vulnerability - letting ourselves be seen for who we are. "Vulnerability is about showing up and being seen. It's tough to do that when we're terrified about what people might see or think." Brene Brown Authenticity combined with vulnerability leads to transparency. Find your authentic voice. What you share is your decision. Honor your personal truth.
