Keeping the consumer first in mind is something that has always been obvious and has been delivered by the likes of the tech wizards and creative types in the gaming and movie worlds, where their work is approved, accepted, and fanatically enjoyed by many millions of happy consumers. In the property world, however, such devotion and focus on that end consumer has mostly been sadly lacking. The tenant. The resident. They often find themselves way down the list of priorities behind profits and planning designs. But what if you could take those consumer-focused tech teams and get them to produce software that would benefit residents in new residential schemes in ways never before imagined? That's where today's guest Jeremy Heath-Smith comes in. Former creator of the global sensation in the gaming and movie worlds - Tomb Raider - and now founder and CEO of Spike Global, the UK's leading resident engagement and property management software provider. Jeremy shares the fascinating story of how the incredible transformation of Battersea Power Station brought him and his team into the world of property. Jeremy gives a live demonstration during the show, of how Spike Global's software portal and messaging platform has transformed the engagement, integration, communication, and happiness and well-being enjoyed by the residents in that and other housing schemes in the UK. See and hear about how developers can completely change their game when it comes to delivering for the end-customers: the landlords, the property managers, the residents, the tenants. Listen to Jeremy talk about how his team's systems performed in ways they never imagined when the global pandemic swept across the landscape. Efficiencies in building management, and control of logistics and operations within a scheme, yes. But more than that. Building and evolving thriving communities. Making people feel connected and supported. Enriching the lives of users and communities by creating better places to live and work...

"Yes, Northern Ireland is still part of the UK," and "No, 'The Troubles' are not something that's still going on here," are some of the answers to exasperating questions that today's guest sometimes has to dish out to, thankfully only a few, of the less well-informed of UK property investors that reach out to her. When she then goes on to explain just how good the market in Northern Ireland can be, how impressive the yields can be, and the range of services that her company can provide to savvy hands-off investors, it's a whole new appreciation that these investors have with today's guest, Eimear Gourley... ------ The conversation shows the abundant knowledge and expertise that Eimear has in the world of property, and her specialism in Northern Ireland in particular. Eimear covers the vast majority of identical processes of investing in UK property when it comes to this particular area. When building our own business, creating our own life, and deciding our own success, we have to be careful not to fall into The Comparison Trap. We shouldn't try to exactly copy someone else's path in life. We shouldn't compare our areas of health, wealth, and happiness with others. As Mark Twain once said: "Comparison is the death of joy." However, we can certainly take inspiration and encouragement from others who are doing well in life. There are many wise investors out there who know the power and the benefits of investing in property as an asset class. However, while a lot of them have that wisdom, and also the capital at hand to make such investments, they simply don't have the other resources to be able to pull the trigger and enjoy the incredible returns that are possible. Time is the biggest hurdle for them. Having or finding the time to be able to properly and fully assess each asset (the property) and run all the required due diligence to protect their investment. Lacking contacts is another obstacle. The various estate agents, letting agents, solicitors, brokers, accountants, tax advisors, builders, trades, planners, architects, engineers, and other various specialist professions that swarm the property world in different scenarios. And lacking the specialist knowledge and skills can be the investor's biggest hurdles; consciously and unconsciously. Some foolishly think that having binge-watched "Homes Under The Hammer" is enough to arm them and ensure they're able to protect what can be very sizeable sums in this investment field. Other wiser investors, have the awareness to understand they simply "don't know what they don't know." How to source the right assets, running deep due diligence, organising the various professionals to acquire, add value, maintain, hold, and sell the property. Not to mention the other connected matters such as tenants, agents, certifications, compliance, lending, and insurances. And that's not even covering the various strategies, tactics, and tax-efficient processes to structure the investment in the best way possible. Such investors have the wisdom to know that they just don't have such knowledge and skillsets, but they also know they don't have the time nor the inclination to learn it all. That's where outsourcing parts of the puzzle to someone like a Property Sourcer can bring huge benefit to these clever and time-poor investors. But like all areas of life, there are Property Sourcers and there are Property Sourcers. In today's show we speak to experienced sourcer and investor, Sean McIntyre, and chat over his personal journey, his track record, his projects, and more importantly, what value he brings to the investors and Private Clients that he works with. > Learn the biggest mistakes that most 'property sourcers' are making... > Hear about the real value and the holistic approach that Sean delivers to his private clients investing in property... > Listen to Sean talk about his "2 bank accounts" and how he's tracked them throughout his life... > Hear about 'the numbers,' the profits, the cashflow, and the returns that investors can enjoy in the rich and varied world of property...
In today's show, we hear from entrepreneur, best-selling author, speaker, and property investor, Dave Dubeau. In the world of business, and especially property, it's a rollercoaster of challenges and emotions. So many high-profit highs, and so many excruciating lows are all possible. And that's why your mindset is absolutely key! That's one of the main reasons why Paul McFadden wrote his best-selling book "Property Success Mindset". And the man who taught Paul everything about mindset and building "Mind Powers" is today's guest: the one and only John Kehoe! Paul's exclusive interview with John in today's show, uncovers John's own personal story that kickstarted his whole fascinating journey decades ago in the Canadian woodlands, and also touches upon Paul's own journey after being taught by John in London almost a decade ago. How our minds and our thoughts can directly affect all that we face in life and in business... How we all have the ability to learn how to harness our Mind Powers for our own benefit... What is it about our environment and the people around us, which affect our thoughts... Why do crises like a Global Virus Pandemic come in and out of our lives, and how we should frame them... It's a fascinating interview with a living legend, whose amazing training should be heralded and known by more people to help that success spread much farther. In today's show, we hear from Richard Morris from Technologywithin, a leader in IT-enabling the flexible and co-working space environments for many landlords and business owners throughout the UK. From commercial property, to student accommodation, to co-working and flexible workspaces, to hospitals, to even science parks and build-to-rent projects, there's no area that Technologywithin don't cover. From a technical perspective, the company has a range of products and services to help deliver and maintain internet utility, wifi management, client reporting and billing, and using a host of bespoke tools to do so, such as: meshdata, mojovoice, and twiinworkspace. But the company go beyond the tech and into the human side of business.
