Vakar, 11. februārī, Latvijai Milānas–Kortīnas spēlēs gan laba un arī nepiepildītu cerību diena. Laba diena dāmu biatlonā, bet lielākās cerības saistījās ar kamaniņu divnieku startiem. Savukārt šodien gatavojamies olimpiskajam hokejam. Biatlonā  Baiba Bendika 15 kilometru individuālajā distancē bija otra ātrākā slēpotāja un, četrreiz kļūdoties šaušanā, izcīnīja 22. vietu. Tā viņai bija augstākā vieta viņas olimpisko spēļu pieredzē un pirmā reize labāko trīsdesmitniekā. Un labs starts arī juniorei Esterei Volfai – viņai pietiekami augstā 36. vieta. Bet lielākās mūsu cerības vakar mājoja kamaniņu trasē divnieku startos. Šoreiz priecēja dāmas. Sieviešu kamaniņu divnieks Marta Robežniece/Kitija Bogdanova olimpiskajā debijā ieguva 4. vietu.  Vilšanos pieredzēja Latvijas vīriešu spēcīgākā ekipāža Mārtiņš Bots/Roberts Plūme, kuri pēc finiša piektajā pozīcijā bija drūmā noskaņojumā. Savukārt otrai ekipāžai – Eduardam Šēvicam-Mikeļševicam un Lūkasam Krastam – 9. vieta olimpiskajā debijā. Sportistus pēc finiša uzklausīja Mārtiņš Kļavenieks. Kamaniņniekiem šodien vēl pēdējās sacīkstes – komandu stafete. Bet šodien, 12. februāri, Latvijai liela diena – olimpiskajās spēlēs uz ledus izies Latvijas hokeja izlase. Pirmo reizi vēsturē ar 6 NHL spēlētājiem. Tiesa, arī vairumā citu komandu sapulcināti visi labākie no Eiropas un Ziemeļamerikas, un tieši tāpēc šīs olimpiskās spēles pēc ilgāka laika būs ļoti īpašas ar ļoti augstvērtīgu hokeju un pirmā lieluma pasaules hokeja zvaigznēm. Mūsējiem šodien pirmā spēle pret vieniem no favorītiem – ASV izlasi. Par gaidāmo spēli un komandu sarunājamies ar cilvēku, kas pats ir izbaudījis olimpisko atmosfēru, šobrīd Latvijas čempionu – hokeja kluba „Mogo” galveno treneri Ģirtu Ankipānu. Savukārt Milānā pēc treniņa Māris Bergs uzklausīja uzbrucēju Danu Ločmeli un galveno treneri Hariju Vītoliņu. Šodien netrūkst arī citu notikumu – ledus renē dosies skeletonisti, ziemas sporta klasikas cienītāji varēs just līdzi mūsu slēpošanas zvaigznei Patrīcijai Eidukai un arī pārējām četrām slēpotājām 10 kilometru intervāla startā. Šorttrekā ceturtdaļfinālā startēs Roberts Krūzbergs un Reinis Bērziņš.

Kalnu slēpošanas supergigants, biatlona 15 kilometru slēpojums indivuduāli sievietēm un kamaniņu sporta nobraucieni divniekiem - tās irdisciplīnas ziemas olimpiskajās speļēs, kam šodien, 11. februārī, īpaši pievēršam uzmanību. Kalnu slēpotājs Elvis Opmanis supergigantā starp 42 dalībniekiem ierindojās 35. vietā. Lai saprastu, kā vērtēt šīs izcīnītās vietas, esam sazvanījuši olimpisko spēļu kalnu slēpošanas komentētāju Ivaru Bāci. Biatlonā noslēgušās sacensības 15km individuālajā distancē sievietēm. Tajā startēja četras Latvijas pārstāves. Baiba Bendika finišēja 22. vietā, Estere Volfa ieņēma 36. vietu, Sanita Buliņa  bija 58. vietā, bet Annija Keita Sabule – 64. Vietā. Elīnas Ievas Botas panākumu iedvesmotas, šodien ledus trasē Kortīnā sacensības sāks Latvijas dāmu divnieks Marta Robežniece/Kitija Bogdanova. Viņām 4. starta numurs, kopā startēs 11 ekipāžas. Vīru konkurencē startēs Mārtiņš Bots un Roberts Plūme, kā arī Eduards Ševics-Mikeļševics un Lūkass Krasts. Sacensību sākums plkst. 18. Mūsu kamaniņu sportistu gaitām turpina sekot Latvijas Radio korespondents Mārtiņš Kļavenieks.

Latvijas kamaniņu braucēja Elīna Ieva Bota otrdien, 10. februārī, Milānas–Kortīnas ziemas olimpiskajās spēlēs izcīnīja Latvijai vēsturisku godalgu, iegūstot ne tikai sudraba medaļu, bet arī kļūstot par pirmo latviešu sievieti, kas ziemas olimpiskajās spēlēs izcīnījusi medaļu individuālā disciplīnā, startējot zem Latvijas karoga.  Finālā zelta medaļu izcīnīja vāciete Jūlija Taubica, kura bija ātrākā visos četros braucienos, Botu summā apsteidzot par 0,918 sekundēm. Tikai 0,039 sekundes no Botas atpalika amerikāniete Ešlija Farkvarsone.

Vakar, 8. februārī, Latvijas kamaniņu braucējs Kristers Aparjods cīnījās par medaļu. Diemžēl palika tikai vienu soli vai, precīzāk sakot, vienu virāžu vai dažas kļūdas aiz pjedestāla vīriešu kamaniņu braukšanā. Kristers Aparjods kopvērtējumā izcīnīja 4. vietu. Arī otrs mūsu kamanu vīrs Gints Bērziņš neiztika bez kļūdām, taču beigās stabila 10. vieta. Notikumus un emocijas klātienē vēroja un fiksēja kolēģis Mārtiņš Kļavenieks. Viņš arī uzklausīja Kristeru Aparjodu pēc finiša. Sava kolēģa startu vērtē Latvijas izlases kamaniņbraucējs Kaspars Rinks. Par olimpisko čempionu kļuva vācietis Makss Langenhāns, kurš aizvadīja četrus ļoti labus un stabilus braucienus, sacensības noslēdzot ar kopējo laiku trīs minūtes un 31,191 sekunde. Par vicečempionu tika kronēts austrietis Jonass Millers, kurš kopsummā konkurentam piekāpās 0,596 sekundes. Mājinieks Dominiks Fišnallers izcīnīja bronzu, līderim zaudējot 0,934 sekundes. Šodien, 9. februārī, pirmie divi braucieni mūsu abām kamaniņbraucējām Elīnai Ievai Botai un Kendijai Aparjodei.  Vēl vakar pirmo reizi olimpisko spēļu vēsturē Latvijas komanda startēja jauktajā stafetē biatlonā., kopvērtējumā iegūstot 12. vietu. Startu vērtē Estere Volfa. Nākamie starti Latvijai biatlona trasē rīt, 10. februārī, kad vīri dosies 20 kilometru distancē.

Šodien, 9. februārī, olimpiskajās spēlēs Latvijas sportistiem notikumu ar sportisko intrigu mazāk. Startēs tikai kamaniņu braucējas Kendija Aparjode un Elīna Ieva Bota. Mēs uzklausām kamaniņu braucēju Gintu Bērziņu, kurš izcīnīja 10. vietu kopvērtējumā. Viņa komentārā pēc sacensībām Latvijas TV izskanēja milzu pārliecība par nākotni. Bet kā dzīvo, ko ēd un kā trenējas mūsu kamaniņu sportisti Kortīnā? Šīs aizkulises kolēģim Mārtiņam Kļaveniekam pavēra kamanu izlases treneris Daniels Fogelis.  Ar katru dienu aizvien straujāk sāk pukstēt arī hokeja līdzjutēju sirdis, jo tuvojas mūsu izlases pirmais mačs pret ASV valstsvienību. Tas ceturtdien, 12. februārī, bet šovakar mūsu izlasei paredzēts treniņš kopā ar Šveices izlasi. Kas tas būs - pārbaudes spēle, treniņspēle, sadraudzības vakars vai vēl kas cits? Milānas-Kortīnas olimpiskajā spēlēs rit otrā pilnvērtīgā sacensību diena, kurā, protams, startē arī Latvijas sportisti. Par medaļu kamaniņu sacensībās šodien, 8. februārī, cīnīsies latviešu sportists Kristers Aparjods. Jauktajā stafetē startēs arī Latvijas biatlonistu komanda. Bet paralēli sporta notikumiem satraucošas ziņas saņemam no Itālijas, kur esot notikusi dzelzceļa mezglu sabotāža pirms atklāšanas ceremonijas. Tas gan esot noticis vairāk uz dienvidiem Boloņas apkārtnē, ne Milānas vai Kortīnas reģionos. Esot vērojamas līdzība ar sabotāžām, kā pirms Parīzes Olimpiskajām spēlēm 2024. gadā. Kamaniņu sacensībās Kortīnā vakar aizvadīti pirmie divi braucieni vīriešiem. Kristers Aparjods ierindojas uzreiz aiz goda pjedestāla (4. vietā), savukārt Gints Bērziņš noslēdza labāko desmitnieku. Šodien noslēdzošie braucieni plkst. 18 un plkst. 19.30. Gaidot startu vakarpusē, uzklausām abus kamaniņbraucējus – Kristeru Aparjodu un Gintu Bērziņu. Pēc diviem braucieniem ātrākais ir vācietis Makss Langenhans un austrietis Jonass Millers, trešajāvietā itālis Dominiks Fišnallers no līdera atpaliek 0,298 sekundes. Šodien biatlona jauktajā stafetē startēs arī Latvijas biatlonisti un biatlonistes – ilggadējais izlases līderis Andrejs Rastorgujevs, jaunā Latvijas cerība Renārs Birkentāls un dāmas – Baiba Bendika un šī brīža Eiropas junioru čempione Estere Volfa. Biatlonistiem starts plkst. 15.05. Vai varam gaidīt patīkamus pārsteigumus? To vaicājam Jēkabam Nākumam no leģendārā Nagano četrinieka un šobrīd sava Ogres biatlona kluba vadītājam. Bet, gaidot olimpisko hokeju, neliela saruna ar mūsu izlases vārtsargu Elvi Merzļikinu.

Milānā, "San Siro" stadionā, Kortīnā d'Ampeco, Livinjo un Predaco ar krāšņu ceremoniju atklātas 25. ziemas olimpiskās spēles Itālijā. Šodien, 7. februārī, jau pirmie olimpiskie starti mūsu sportistiem. Bet vispirms par atkāšanas ceremoniju. Latvijas komandas karognesēji Milānā Kaspars Daugaviņš un Kortīnā Dženifera Ģērmane dalās iespaidos un sajūtās pēc atklāšanas ceremonijas. Par iespaidiem atklāšanas ceremonijā stāsta arī kolēģi Mārtiņš Kļavenieks un Māris Bergs. 7. februārī pirmie olimpiskie starti Latvijas sportistiem. Šodien turam īkšķus par mūsu vīru kamaniņbraucējiem Kristeru Aparjodu un Gintu Bērziņu un dianču slēpošanā par Patrīciju Eiduku 10+10 kilometru skiatlonā un arī par Elvi Opmani kalnu slēpošanā nobraucienā. Sazināmies ar Latvijas olimpiskās slēpošanas komandas vadītāju Ziemeļitālijas kalnos Jāni Puidu. Allaž Latvijai lielas cerības bijušas uz mūsējo startiem kamaniņu trasē. Un tajā šodien dodas Kristers Aparjods un arī Gints Bērziņš. Kortīnas trase viņiem nav sveša un pirms starta viņi izklausās pietiekami gatavi. Par ledus un treniņu apstākļiem Kortīnā dalās Gints un Kristers. Uz vienas nogāzes ar pasaules varenajiem šodien izies arī mūsu kalnu slēpotājs Elvis Opmanis. Vienmēr ir liels gods startēt olimpiskajās spēlēs no valsts, kurā lielu kalnu nav. Visu cieņu ikvienam no mūsējiem, kas šo iespēju ir izcīnijuši. Blakus domām par veiksmīgiem startiem sportistiem arī rūpīgi jāseko savai veselībai. Ja neskaita bobslejistu Renāru Grantiņu, kam olimpiskās spēles traumas dēļ beigušās priekšlaicīgi, pārējiem par laimi viss ir kārtībā. Diemžēl satraukumu raisa vīruss, kas strauji izplatās dažas valsts delegācijā. Tāpēc uzklausām vienu no mūsu komandas dakterēm Milānā Lailu Ušacku.

Sam Kamani, VP of Growth at web3 tools maker Cookbook, said he was looking ahead optimistically despite crypto winter in the episode where we delved deep into the world of Web3 and decentralised autonomous organisations (DAOs). “I'm not too worried, not too worried at all, even though I work in this space. I've seen, and I've lived through, at least three or four of these upswings and downturns. Every time in the downturn, the price is the same or higher than the previous high of the previous cycle,” Kamani said. “There is one thing that is very different that has happened this time, that has never happened before: in all previous downturns, the number of developers building in this space would reduce. In this downturn, the number of developers building in this space went up. That was very interesting that it had a critical mass in the number of people creating solutions, and it has gone up significantly,” he said.Cookbook aggregates and indexes smart contracts, providing building blocks for anything in Web3 using technologies developers are familiar with."Say someone wants to create their own token or a voting DAO, or any type of NFT, they can source a template and just copy from that and deploy in a few seconds instead of spending weeks," said Kamani, who also hosts “Web3 with Sam Kamani” podcast. About Kelly: "Kelly played for O'Dea High school, and won the state 3A championship three out of his four years there, 04, 05, 07 (they lost in the championship game his junior year- 06). After O'Dea he played for Che Dawson at Highline Community College. They won the Western Division title his sophomore year, giving them the #1 seed to the NWAC tournament, where they lost in the semi-finals. Kelly went on to play at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon for his junior and senior years. He was named Second-Team All Conference his junior year, with 16.5 points and 5 rebounds per game, and First Team All Conference his senior year, with 19 points and 7 rebounds per game, ranking his Pioneers as high as #24 in the nation that year. After college Kelly played professionally for the ABA, and is still active in the Jamal Crawford Summer Pro League. In 2019 summer he averaged 28 ppg, 9.5 rpg & 7.5 apg. Kelly turned down professional opportunities overseas to grow LocalHOOPS into what it is today.
