I'm a housewives fan - well, if I'm being honest, I have been religiously loyal to Beverley Hills and now the reboot of NYC, however I knew this would be a biggy for any Real Housewives fan. So I put in the work of consuming 13 series of RHONYC to learn about the one, the only Countess Luann. And goodness me, I'm glad I did! There's many firsts on this episode: having a Countess on, having one of my friends come over to listen, and also having to nip out mid recording for a daughters school choir performance due to our dear Luanne being rather tardy (‘the traffic was awful' – that's the effect of a housewife!)The iconic singer, model, etiquette pro, author & TV personality came over to New Cross looking fabulous in, well, of course Jovani! I fed her some boiled chicken (more delicious than it sounds) & mum made a strudel. She told us all about her friendship with Tilda Swindon, her love of caviar on a potato, her parents regimented sex life & whilst I had to pop out, Luann chatted to mum about growing up as a family of 7 (!) in Connecticut. This was a wild one but a GREAT one! Enjoy!Luann's upcoming show ‘Countess Cabaret' comes to the UK in February – tickets are on sale now. you don't want to miss it. It was Chic, C'est la Vie, C'est Bon x Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
We're joined by Dr Paul Koudounaris talking about his book ‘Faithful until Death'. As a first in terms of investigating Pet Cemeteries all around the world, Paul admits this was a labour of love of 11 years. Revealing the history of pet ownership as in the late Victorian era industrialisation meant more folk moved into cities, creating a new kind of pet husbandry, which included giving them a 'good' death. Paul explores Cemeteries, and tombs from as far afield as Thailand, across Europe, in the UK and across the USA. We chat about the ridiculous thought that animals do not have souls, as an illogical concept of theology. We talk about the resistance to burying pets in churchyards, and the people who helped make change with setting up/ building dedicated pet cemeteries. As a massive animal lover, Paul became a pet bereavement councillor for several years as well as tracking down the author of iconic poem : The Rainbow Bridge, and in revealing one of the greatest mysteries, of the Paris Pet Cemetery called Le Cimitières des Chiens in Paris where the iconic canine film legend, RIn Tin Tin, is said to be buried. We chat about Tawny the ex circus lion who lived in Beverley Hills and rests in the cemetery in LA, and more! The book takes you on an emotional journey, through which there's comfort in how many have grieved their pets, for a loss that is means losing apart of oneself, and how Pet Cemeteries set in history our love for all animals. As the late Queen famously said: “Grief is the price of Love.” Faithful Until Death is published by Thames & Hudson or you can buy it hereFollow Paul on Instagram For more about Anna go to annawebb.co.ukMusic and production by Mike Hanson for Pod People ProductionsCover art by JaijoCover photo by Rhian Ap Gruffydd at Gruff PawtraitsTo advertise on or sponsor A Dog's Life email: info@theloniouspunkproductions.com

Is there really a genocidal Rawandan priest serial killer on the loose? Listen now to find out!Michelle then looks at one of the biggest high-profile murder cases from last century – the Menendez Brothers murders. On August 20, Eric and Lyle Menendez murdered their parents Jose and Kitty in cold blood in their home in Beverley Hills. Why did they do it? Why did they spend it up large once the parents were dead? What was with those preppy pastel jumpers? And why has Gen Z picked up the Menendez Brothers case on TikTok and calling for a re-investigation into their life sentences? Listen to hear more! Eric: Not counting wrestling, Im saying honourable mentions would be from the 1990s my childhood that i go back and watch: Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Murder She Wrote, Columbo, Matlock, Spiderman Johnny Bravo, Criminal Minds, Law and Order, Living Out of your Car, Bored To Death, Burn Notice, How To Make It In America, Hell On Wheels, Breaking Bad, early Walking Dead, The Wire, Will and Grace, Quantum Leap, all of the Star Treks. Top 5: 5 - Bosh - Police procedural featuring Titus Welliver, I read the first four books in a row, currently heading on book five of like 35, once I finish another book i'm on. It's amazing. If you could literally pick anyone who captures Bosh, it's Titus Welliver. 4. Brooklyn Nine Nine - I've seen every episode twice, it's outstanding. Jake Peralta and Charles Boyle are hilarious. 3. Highlander from the 1990s, I remember watching it pre knowing about the films it was based on and thought for Canadian content it was great. 2. Celebrity Name Game - Craig Ferguson hosted this guessing game where Celebrities and fans would team up to try and win the fan some money. 1 Law and Order SVU - Easily the best police procedural of all time. Olivia Benson and her team have seen it all. Also shout out to Law and Order Organized Crime where they gave Stabler basically his own show so neither he or Benson can feel overshadowed. X: @E_Freeds IG: @NatteringWithE Brundan Honourable mentions: Oz, Simpsons, Entourage, Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, Ren and Stempy. Top 5: 5 - Sopranos - Dug a lady, but dug the show more, saw one episode and was hooked. Most rewatches of any show I've seen. 4 - Futurama - When it first came out it was excellent. When it went to Adult Swim I was hooked on everything. Had my friends over to watch. Until it was brought back it had the best ending. 3- Letterkenney - Turned on to that during pandemic, blew through it, it's one of the most bingeable shows I've ever watched. Great ending, sad to see it end. Jared Keo as Wayne Shoresy, is fantastic. 2- Law and Order SVU - Watching it for 20 years, loved every episode, every character change, every story ark. Munch the best character, dark and sad but very good watch. 1- The Venture Brothers - My favourite show of all time, ran for 7 seasons 81 episodes, 4 specials, every single one of them was great. Drop subtle hints in the early seasons then pay off in later seasons. Brock Samson phenomenal character. Johnny Quest rip off originally then became it's own show. X: @Irishmisfit Follow: ShiningWizards, ROH Revelry, SJ: Honourable Mentions: SOA, Law and Order Franchise, Metalocalypse, Robot Chicken, Rick and Morty, Big Mouth, Oz, Orange Is The New Black, Fringe Top 5: 5 - Saved By The Bell - Favourite since I was a kid, gave good lessons and advice, great characters. Present day Zach Morris is trash. Lazy at home show, tons of seasons to watch. Favourite Episode: Jessie addicted to caffeine pills. 4 - Beverley Hills 90210 - Learnt things, great teen drama, storylines, Dylan McKay was my bad boy first crush. 3- American Horror Stories - 2021 series, spin off of American Horror Story, Daphney episode where it's like Alexa but a psycho version. A lot of good freaky horror gore stories. Always famous people, and Kim Kardashian 2- American Horror Story - Twisted episodes, messed up themes, one of my favourite seasons were season 1 murder house, coven, hotel with Lady Gaga, the season where they did 1984, very 80s murder based, season 9 was 1984. I love everything horror and gore. 1- Walking Dead - Religiously hooked from season 1 to season 9 or 10. Ordered in take out just to watch it. Discovered Norman Reedus aka Darryl Dixon. Jeffrey Dean Morgan showing up was excellent too. SJ: @KarnivalofKhaos Follow: Frigid Eh every Wednesday, Good Cop Bad Cop, Markin Out With Tom!

Should you be concerned when composites come back with staining? Is that actually caries though? Or is it just harmless staining? Is there something we can do to prevent our patients from cracking their teeth? And that age old question of when should we think about intervening on someone who's exhibiting hairline cracks in their teeth? Jaz's Introduction:You see, Protruserati, these are dentistry's tough questions. There's no hard and fast rules. There's lots of opinion because we lack the clinical trials. But you know what? If I was going to ask someone their opinion, I'd want this person to be very experienced. So how is 43 years? Is that good enough for you? I think that's pretty good. Okay. What kind of dentist should this person be? Okay. Well, let me tell you the guy who we have on today. This is Dr. Lane Ochi. Not only is one of the most brilliant dentists ever, he's also the most humble dentist ever. This is a beautiful combination. And he really embodies everything that Protrusive is about, everything our community is about. This guy practiced for 43 years in Beverly Hills. He treated Miss Americas and celebrities, but when you speak to him, he's just the loveliest, most humble man. So it's a great pleasure to host him here today. We actually went live on YouTube and Facebook, but now this is the sort of polished and cut up full PDP episode complete with Protrusive premium notes and CPD. We've got one hour of CPD credits in store for you today by answering the quiz at the end. Protrusive Dental PearlThe Protrusive Dental Pearl is actually taken from this episode. It was just so brilliant yet so simple. Many of you are probably already doing this, but you know, sometimes it resonates with me that you know what, this simple little tweak, I can use this in my practice and what it was and what the pearl was, is to get the patient's photos. What I mean by that is the intraoral photos that you take, for example, of cracks like the big theme of this episode is talk about communication and crack teeth and predicting longevity. All the tough questions, like I said. But a powerful tip is to take a photo of the crack. Now, we've said that tip before. You know that already, but how about now escalating this and getting the patient to take out their phone and use their camera ...

Graham Steele was a guest on the podcast in March of 2020 just as the whole world was shutting down due to Covid-19. Graham filmed a video for us at the time on Rodeo Drive during the middle of the day on a weekday and there was nobody there, the scene was very unusual. Since Covid has now lifted and things have pretty much returned to normal we thought we'd catch up with Graham again to find out how life has been treating since we last spoke. Graham has extensive experience in the film & TV industry as a producer and he has worked with some big names in the industry including National Geographic, Disney and the BBC to name a few. Aside from being based in Beverley Hills where Graham and his wife have raised their kids and where they've lived for around 25 years, Graham still calls Darwin home. On this episode of the podcast we hear what Graham has been doing since we last spoke and he also gives us some insight into a couple of projects he's been working on recently. On this episode, I speak with acclaimed producer and filmmaker Brad Starks who works and lives in Maui. He survived the devastating wildfire that came close to his "front door." This episode is more laid back in terms of production and really gives voice to the story at hand. My Guest: Brad Starks is an incredibly accomplished individual—he grew up in Rockford, Illinois and has held many different positions over the years including fashion photographer, creative director, filmmaker, producer, and currently an actor based in Maui. Mr. Starks has operated studios in New York, Chicago, Madrid, Spain, and Tokyo. During his work as a fashion photographer, he had the pleasure of working with fashion icons like Nicolle Miller and Oscar De La Renta along with Emanuel Ungaro. An impressive career across the map, with works of his published in Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair and many more— he's worked on the sets of the Real Housewives of Beverley Hills, HGTV's Hawaii Life, and on networks like A&E and MTV. Mr. Stark has been living in Hawaii for years and when the wildfires began, he was there—it was unlike anything he'd ever seen. He says he'll never forget how close the fire came to his front door. ________________________________________________________ Lahaina Venmo Donation Instagram- https://www.instagram.com/lahaina_ohana_venmo_donation/ Maui Support Groups- https://www.nytimes.com/2023/08/10/us/hawaii-fires-how-to-help.html Times Radio UK Story- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxMDTGY6NBU&t=60s The Jeremiah Patterson Show (Facebook)- https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100095566779645 --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thejeremiahpattersonshow/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thejeremiahpattersonshow/support

[00:30] Biden: Hurricanes Are Coming, So Get Vaccinated! (9 minutes) Last week, Joe Biden said the pandemic is over. This week, he said that getting vaccinated is a “vital part in preparing for hurricane season.” Theater of the absurd. [9:25] Nord Stream Pipeline Sabotage (12 minutes) Two explosions in the Baltic Sea have caused several leaks in the Nord Stream 1 and 2 natural gas pipelines. Although the pipelines were clearly sabotaged, it is not clear exactly who is responsible. Various sources suggest it may have been Russia, Germany or even the United States—but no matter who it was that carried out the attack, it certainly highlights how vulnerable the European energy grid is. [21:00] More Corruption at the FBI (10 minutes) On Friday, the FBI carried out an armed predawn raid on the home of Mark Houck, a pro-life advocate who offers counseling outside abortion clinics for people seeking abortions. Synopsis On today's date in 1968, a 72-year-old Italian-born American composer named Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco died in Beverley Hills. As a young man, Castelnuovo-Tedesco was already known as a rising composer, concert pianist, music critic and essayist. In 1939 he left Mussolini's Italy and came to America, and like a lot of European musicians of the time, he found work writing film scores for major Hollywood studios. Castelnuovo-Tedesco became an American citizen, and eventually taught at the Los Angeles Conservatory, where his pupils included many famous names from the next generation of film composers, including Jerry Goldsmith, Henry Mancini, Andre Previn, Nelson Riddle and John Williams. In addition to film scores, Castelnuovo-Tedesco composed a signifigant body of concert music, including concertos for the likes of Heifetz and Segovia. A number of Castelnuovo-Tedesco's works are directly related to his Jewish faith, including a choral work from 1947, entitled “Naomi and Ruth.” The composer's mother was named Naomi, and he claimed the faithful Ruth in the Biblical story reminded him of his own wife, Clara. “In a certain sense,” he wrote, “it was really my symbolic autobiography, existing before I decided to write – to open my heart – in these pages.” Music Played in Today's Program Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco (1895 - 1968) — Naomi and Ruth (St.Martin's Academy and Chorus; Sir Neville Marriner, cond.) The big question at the end of today's trial was - Was the jury shown naked pictures of Harvey Weinstein and did the pictures confirm Jessica Mann's description of him being intersex and disfigured? That came at the end of eventful day where we heard from the third person in the Harvey Weinstein threesome and Jessica Mann who also took part. Jessica took the stand again on Tuesday after her Monday testimony was cut short when the judge found her inconsolable from crying. Weinstein's defense completed the cross-examination of Mann which included more details about Weinstein and Mann's relationship. The defense aimed to paint Mann as a manipulative liar who used her relationship with Weinstein to further her acting career and gain access to exclusive Hollywood events. Weinstein invited Mann to Oscar parties and Mann regularly enjoyed the perks of her relationship with the movie producer. Also testifying today was Italian actress Emanuela Postacchini who testified that Harvey Weinstein "manipulated" her and Jessica Mann into a failed threesome in Beverley Hills in 2013. Postracchini testified that the movie producer tried to orchestrate a threesome, instructing the women to engage with each other sexually. According to Postracchini, Mann instead broke down into tears and laid down on the floor in the fetal position.
