Geoff & Neil catch up with Allicia Heron, the up & coming star of Aussie 24/48hr track running who recently took home the bronze medal at the IAU 24hr Asia and Oceania Championships in India. Learn how her 15+ years in military service has helped give her the edge, how she deploys the Buddha/Bad arse strategy, how the Bad arse gets her in & out of trouble, how to train for ultra events when all you have is a small boat or a 1.6km loop (that she spent 6 hrs or 60km on recently!) and how she's preparing for Australia's premier ultra running event, the one & only 240km Coast to Kosciusko.
Experiencing inner healing and deliverance changed my life. I first went through it, via a program at my church, in a season where I was expecting time to heal my heart… but many months had gone by and I wasn't feeling any better. Time doesn't heal, Jesus does, amen? Through it, I realised areas of struggle that I thought were just ‘part of my personality' could be healed — if it's not godly, it's not from God! He has better. In this episode, we hear from Allicia Bankuti of Ellel Ministries, which runs various inner healing courses and programs. She honestly and vulnerably shares her testimony (tw: pornography, bullying, eating disorders, drugs, self-harm), as well as practical steps for seeking God for inner healing in your quiet time, formal programs, and more. May we not accept less than Jesus died for us to have. ***
Allicia Bankuti preaches a message on how to grow in our relationship with God despite where we might be. Allicia encourages us to diagnose our soil, have healthy plant (personal) care, and what it takes to help others grow.
Allicia Bankuti continues our Practice of Biblical Living series focusing on the importance of prayer. Allicia draws from Romans as she encourages and challenges us to be Faithful in prayer. Allicia brings a message that aims to make prayer a joyful and fun way to connect with God in your life.
This episode is divine in many ways. It wasn't planned, it just happened and turned out to be the little bit of clarity the girls needed on this particular trip to the big East.

In this third installment of The Beginners Guide to Prayer, Allicia Bankuti shares about prayer as a relational tool in her sermon entitled "Two Way Communication." Allicia uses radio lingo to describe having a conservational prayer life with God, and how we can grow in both listening and talking to God on a regular basis. She also provides some helpful illustrations of how our body, soul and spirit are connected, explaining how pain and sin can hinder us from hearing the voice of our Heavenly Father. We are not meant to simply struggle through prayer, but rather to thrive as we make it a daily part of our lives. God desires a personal relationship with each of us, and prayer is a key to knowing His heart.

Last Sunday before worship, I sat down next to 7-year-old Adelina. She told me, “I’m nervous about being baptized next week.” I teased her, “Well I’m not nervous. I’ve done this lots of times.”Then I told her, “When you’re baptized next Sunday, I’m going to get your head wet … and then my eyes are going to get wet.”This morning in the early service, Bob, who is in his 60s was baptized and confirmed. In the late service, Allicia was baptized and confirmed and her four children, Angel, Ayden, Grace, and Adelina, also received the cleansing bath of baptism over their heads.
