I once dabbled in Lesbiana but couldn't fully commit because, like a London cab driver, I wouldn't go south of the river.” Abi's stand up show Anglichanka, which was about living and studying in Russia, gained her several 5 star rave reviews and the show toured the UK. He made a clean break and decided to become a character comedian - no overlap, never done a gig, not even a play at high school - and moved to London to get it done. The boys managed to grab 40 mins with Lee backstage at the Thameside Theatre in Grays before the launch of his new comedy night. Despite not having very long it was fun to meet and talk to Lee about his career, writing jokes, jokes being stolen, alternative comedy, best places to see it, and how he started on the Late Show.Hurst first became known to television viewers as a regular team member on the BBC Two comedy sports quiz They Think It's All Over. He appeared alongside David Gower in 42 episodes over the first six series, from the first episode on 14 September 1995 until 1998.
