What do the Clicks Keyboard, Ember Mug, Monarch braille display, and AirPods Pro 2 all have in common? They're all in the inbox this week on Double Tap!Steven and Shaun dive into your messages, starting with Mallory's reflections on Clicks and warm drinks, to Daisy's deep dive into the Monarch's potential—and price tag. You'll hear honest takes on smart glasses like EchoVision, plus a listener story about using AirPods Pro 2 as hearing aids (and one almost lost at Burger King). And in true Double Tap fashion, things go hilariously off track with accidental disco rants, talk of cigarette-scented hospital doorfinding, and a legendary Scottish passive-aggressive takedown on a public bus. From accessibility insights to laugh-out-loud commentary, this episode captures exactly what makes Double Tap so beloved—and why the community keeps growing.[Chapters]00:00 – What day is it? Gyles gets together with comedian Chris McCausland to record a really special episode of Rosebud. Chris takes Gyles back to his childhood days, playing football and messing about in the streets of West Derby Village in Liverpool, part of a close-knit family and friendship group. Chris talks about the beginnings of the problems with his sight, which started in childhood, how this affected his schooling and could, at times, make him feel self-conscious. He and Gyles also talk about whether Chris's sight problems affect his memories - which is fascinating. Chris tells Gyles about getting into stand-up, his best friend, how he met and married his wife and his experiences of being a dad. This is a life-affirming, inspiring, profound and at times, moving, episode of Rosebud - as Gyles demonstrates at the very end of the interview! ‘For me, it's all about his authenticity'. Chris McCausland Kurt Cobain, lead singer, guitarist and songwriter of the band Nirvana became the voice of a generation and is to this day considered one of the most influential musicians in the history of alternative rock. His angst ridden, often politically driven lyrics challenged the conventions of the day and resonated with youth audiences around the world. He championed the underdog and stood up for all those who had ever felt excluded from the mainstream. Kurt's message resonated with comedian, actor and writer Chris McCausland, but so did his music. With its raw energy and Kurt's ‘take me as I am' performances, Chris found a rock band that delivered the authenticity he'd been searching for. Accompanied from New York by author, journalist and music specialist Laura Barton, Chris discusses the Great Life of Kurt Cobain, his music, his message, his sense of humour and why it's never too late to jump in a mosh pit. Presented by Matthew Parris Produced by Nicola Humphries

Rich has slept in and not had much time to prepare for the show, but luckily it doesn't seem to matter as there are lots of people in and they're drinking and they're up for fun - even if some of the more mature members are furious about the monarchy. Plus an update on the teenage girls and their mum from yesterday. Rich makes friends with a History student called Sleeveland or something, whose knowledge of Guy Fawkes is pitiful. Today's main guest is Tony Law who is enjoying the time away from his young children and having a cool pint of lager. His impressive face hair provides the subject for much of the conversation - though he seems to deflect Rich's request to kiss him, but the predominance of hair cuts and t-shirts on the Edinburgh posters also gets a look in and there are tales of Edinburgh's past as usual. Stand-up is from Chris McCausland.
