With her clever guitar playing and powerful stories, Oklahoma-based Cherokee singer and songwriter Ken Pomeroy draws on brutal honesty and the songwriting skills she has honed since she was 11 years old. She's already found herself on the big screen and small when her song “Wall of Death” made its way onto the Twisters soundtrack, while Hulu's Reservation Dogs featured her soul-mining gem, “Cicadas.” Pomeroy touches on her Native American heritage (mentioning coyotes – a troubling omen) and somewhat painful, personal past, as she plays songs from her album Cruel Joke (due in May 2025), in-studio. Set list: 1. Stranger 2. Days Getting Darker 3. Flannel Cowboy
North Bay Resources CEO Jared Lazerson joined Steve Darling from Proactive to unveil the latest exploration results from the company's Copper Island Project, following a comprehensive rock sampling program conducted in February 2025. The program targeted eight outcrops within the Pomeroy 1-3, Beaver, and Copper Bell zones, yielding highly promising results. According to Lazerson, assay results revealed copper concentrations as high as 5.69%, along with silver reaching 1 ounce per ton and vanadium at 0.22%. The average assay values stood at 4.6% copper, 0.5 ounces per ton silver, and 0.9% vanadium, further underscoring the project's potential. Additionally, metallurgical testing indicated that copper mineralization exists in oxide form up to 74.4%, with average oxide copper content of 40.3%, 42.1%, and 58.4% across three different leach tests. This is a crucial finding, as copper in oxide form is typically associated with lower processing costs and higher recovery rates, enhancing the project's economic viability. The Pomeroy 3-4 Zone, one of the most significant areas of interest, exhibits mineralization over a strike length of approximately 750 feet—making it the largest of the numerous copper-silver zones identified to date. The mineralization is associated with a northwest-to-north-trending sequence of amygdaloidal basaltic flows, with key east-west to east-northeast-south-southwest cross-cutting fault and fracture zones contributing to the structural complexity. Multiple parallel mineralized zones have also been identified, further expanding the project's exploration potential. With these encouraging results, North Bay Resources continues to advance its exploration efforts, positioning the Copper Island Project as a compelling opportunity in the copper and critical minerals sector. #proactiveinvestors #northbayresourcesinc #otc #nbri #PlatinumConcentrate #NorthBayResources #MiningNews #CaliforniaGold #JaredLazerson #GoldRush #ProactiveInvestors #PreciousMetals #MiningUpdates ---#invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews

What is God leading you to do?In this episode, Jeff and Scott discuss: Obedience over outcome.Generosity doesn't happen organically.Blessings of Christian education.Creating a personal board of directors. Key Takeaways: God's plan is different than yours. Ultimately, it is better than you could know. God calls us to show up, no matter the outcome. The outcome has nothing to do with you, even when you bring your A-game every day. Everybody has a broader network than they think they do. People are almost always willing to give of themselves when asked. "My job is to do my best work always, to show up and bring a Christ-centered, Kingdom-centered focus to the workplace, to my co-workers, to my partners, and do the best I possibly can. And He will ordain that outcome, and I will be the beneficiary one way or the other." — Scott Pomeroy About Scott Pomeroy: Scott Pomeroy is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of XTI Aerospace. Every New Year's Eve, millions of Germans turn on their TVs to rewatch an old favourite – the comedy Dinner for One.The black and white sketch is in English and features a British cast but is virtually unknown in the United Kingdom. The two-hander starts with butler James laying a table for five people for dinner. Then Miss Sophie arrives. It's her 90th birthday and she wants to celebrate with four friends: Sir Toby, Admiral von Schneider, Mr Pomeroy, and Mr Winterbottom. The only problem is they're all dead so James must impersonate the guests – and drink on their behalf – with hilarious results. The late German entertainer Peter Frankenfeld first saw the show in the theatre during a trip to Blackpool. He wanted to record it in Germany but Freddie Frinton, who played the butler and owned the copyright to the show, initially refused to take part because of his experiences during World War Two.Peter's son Thomas Frankenfeld tells Vicky Farncombe how his father's own war story, involving snipers and a Nazi surgeon, persuaded Freddie to change his mind. The programme is now shown on TV every New Year's Eve in places including Germany, Scandinavia and Switzerland.“We watch it every year,” says Thomas. “It's really funny. Still after all this time.”Eye-witness accounts brought to life by archive. Witness History is for those fascinated by the past. We take you to the events that have shaped our world through the eyes of the people who were there. For nine minutes every day, we take you back in time and all over the world, to examine wars, coups, scientific discoveries, cultural moments and much more.Recent episodes explore everything from football in Brazil, the history of the ‘Indian Titanic' and the invention of air fryers, to Public Enemy's Fight The Power, subway art and the political crisis in Georgia. We look at the lives of some of the most famous leaders, artists, scientists and personalities in history, including: visionary architect Antoni Gaudi and the design of the Sagrada Familia; Michael Jordan and his bespoke Nike trainers; Princess Diana at the Taj Mahal; and Görel Hanser, manager of legendary Swedish pop band Abba on the influence they've had on the music industry. You can learn all about fascinating and surprising stories, such as the time an Iraqi journalist hurled his shoes at the President of the United States in protest of America's occupation of Iraq; the creation of the Hollywood commercial that changed advertising forever; and the ascent of the first Aboriginal MP.(Photo: Dinner for One. Is baptism a requirement for salvation? There are some Christian groups who say that it is, and others who say it isn't. In this episode of Theology for the People, I am joined by Pastor Stephen Pomeroy from White Fields Community Church, and we look at the Bible verses and arguments which are central to the debate over “baptismal regeneration.” We aim to show you why we believe every Christian should be baptized, but that, as Christians, we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. The award-winning documentary feature Union Street chronicles the ongoing effects of racism, displacement, and the cultural erasure of African-Canadians in Vancouver. Before systemic and political mechanisms destroyed Hogan's Alley – the historic Black neighbourhood located on Union Street – in the 1970s, the area was the home of train porters, speakeasies, juke joints, and a thriving community, and a regular touring stop for iconic musicians like Jimi Hendrix, Louis Armstrong, and Ella Fitzgerald. The reverberations of this thriving community and its intentional and egregious erasure are still felt – and in the face of adversity, a new generation of Black Vancouverites is working tirelessly to rebuild community and facilitate Black joy.Union Street elevates and amplifies the voices of Black Vancouverites who have decided to create their own spaces. It examines how community spaces can help people heal from racism-related trauma, which is especially important in a city where the powers-that-be actively worked to erase you. Union Street was an official selection of the 2023 Vancouver International Film Festival and the 2023 Reelworld Film Festival, where Jamila Pomeroy, the film's director, won the award for Outstanding Director for a Feature Film. The film is now available on Telus Optik TV Channel 8 and the Telus Originals website. Jamila joins Sabrina Rani Furminger to talk about the past, present, and future of Vancouver's Black community, and how what happened when she tried to organize a party on Union Street speaks volumes about the barriers that exist today. In this episode of the RETHINK Retail Podcast, host Gabriella Bock sits down with Jay Shields, SVP of Sales and Customer Success at Pomeroy, at NRF 2024 to delve into the ever-evolving retail landscape. Jay's enthusiasm for finding innovative solutions that enhance the shopping journey is palpable, as she shares her vision for integrating technology into retail spaces in a way that feels natural and enriching. Through her work at Pomeroy, Jay aims to empower retailers to embrace technological advancements, ultimately fostering a more interactive and personalized shopping environment for consumers. Throughout the conversation, Jay emphasizes the significance of trying out new technologies, understanding current infrastructure and hardware capabilities, and the need for retailers to adapt and pivot easily. “Retailers are only able to move as fast as their environments allow. You could have the latest idea on RFID and being able to use AI in your cashier's ears. However, if you don't have the right broadband or you don't have the right ecosystem for that technology to succeed and work, then all you're doing is taxing systems that are already taxed.” - Jay Shields Resources mentioned in this episode: * Ray Ban Meta Glasses: To learn more about the innovative Ray Ban glasses mentioned in the conversation, visit https://www.ray-ban.com/usa/ray-ban-meta-smart-glasses * Pomeroy: To explore the latest retail technology solutions, including mobile point of sale systems, customer engagement tools, and infrastructure support, visit: www.pomeroy.com * LinkedIn: Connect with Jay Shields on LinkedIn for industry insights, updates on Pomeroy's initiatives, and to engage in discussions about retail technology and innovation: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jay-shields-1a75945/ * Connect with us on LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/company/rethink-industries/ * For more retail insights visit www.rethink.industries * If you enjoyed this episode, please let us know by subscribing to our channel and giving us a 5 star rating on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Goodpods! – – – – – – Hosted and produced by Gabriella Bock

During the course of our conversation, Joyce also reflects on: · Her lifelong love of art – particularly Native American and African Art - stemming from her visits as a young girl in the late 1930s to the Brooklyn Museum, the Met and MOMA (which she used to ride to solo via the subway) · Visiting the 1939 World's Fair and the futuristic GM pavilion · The general role art plays in questioning and opening ones mind · The role of public art and how it moved beyond sticks & stones to the art of ideas and place-making · How public art shapes a space rather than fills it and how it provides a common cultural cue · How from the very start, Chicago got public art projects right · Collaborating with groundbreaking artists including: Louise Nevelson, Tony Smith, David von Schlegell and Isamu Noguchi · Creating the Irish Hunger Memorial in New York City · Arshile Gorky's lost (then found!) murals at Newark Airport · Why artists are the only narcissists she'll ever forgive.
