On this week's episode of the #EShow, we begin our off-season coach's corner with Rich DeCaprio from the Boston Jr. Rangers. Coming off of the franchise's second EHL Championship, DeCaprio is quickly preparing for the 11th season in program history for the Rangers. Boston is one of the EHL's 'Original 6' teams that have operated in every season since the league was formed back in 2013. Combining the EHL and EHLP teams together, the Rangers have won five playoff championships to go along with six regular season championships, and a stellar 126 NCAA commitments and counting. Jake Basile chats with Coach DeCaprio, to hear how he continues to raise the bar higher and higher, year after year.

A key foundational element for building a meaningful life is regularly appreciating what's beautiful to you. What if we teach the appreciation of beauty as a life skill? Even asking the question: 'What's beautiful to you?' creates an expectation to look for it and places value on pursuing it. Can you imagine a life well-lived without beauty in it? Learn more about today's guest, Lauren DeCaprio, in an interview she did with SD Voyager.

Finding a positive out of the way things ended was hard at first for Rich DeCaprio, the Head Coach and General Manager of the Rangers, but he eventually found the silver lining. The EHL wasn't the only league that had to pull the plug, and simply put, the Rangers organization won the only two trophies that were up for grabs last year. Each team won as much as they possibly could. Now, turning the page, DeCaprio is hitting the reset button with a handful of returners as well as a group of players climbing the ladder from the EHLP to the EHL. While the Rangers success speaks for itself, DeCaprio also gives a lot of credit to the league his teams play in.

Today's guest entrepreneur joining up the dots and following the words of Steve Jobs, is a man who has certainly experienced the highs that life can give you. And also certainly those times in life when the universe decided to give you a devastating kick to your confidence, self-esteem, ability to love openly, to leave you with little idea as to what to do next. Our guest is theatrical at heart and even at the age of six could be found bursting into song where he lived, so it was little surprise that his earlier career was spent gaining the knowledge of what works and what doesn't within the theatre world. He studied hard, and learnt much (not least how to take down theatre sets rather quickly) when he moved from New Jersey to New York City at the age of 21 to tackle the world of fame, fortune, and the Broadway stage. This was of course where stars are made, and soon he would be rubbing shoulders with DeCaprio, Ford and the like as he would spend his Saturday mornings ensuring that his star on the Hollywood walk of fame was free from footprints and sparkling. As he says “By the time I turned twenty-five, I thought I'd have the perfect life—a few years singing on Broadway, followed by a starring role in my own television show. Instead, his resume is filled with an assortment of minor league theatre and an appearance on The Maury Povich Show—a career sidetracked by his father's suicide, a lawsuit from his mother over his inheritance, and a break-up with his long-term girlfriend. Eight years later and through a series of remarkable life events, a bad economy, and mixture of collegiate and self-education; our guest reinvented himself as an international public speaker, author, playwright, theatre producer, educator, marketing consultant, and arts entrepreneur. Now as we see everyday this is not about reinventing as such, but truly making the decisions that builds a life, instead of allowing for things to happen to us. Not allowing fickle finger of fate to take away what we thought was our by right. So how did he take his fathers tragic suicide and find the strength not only tell the tale on stage, but place a comedic spin on it too? And even though still a young man, does he fell battle scarred and weary, or have the feeling that where he is now is the start of when things get really good? Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start Joining up dots with the one and only Mr Joshua Rivedal.

This Garage Hour is one of the classic free-fire episodes, kicked off right with tales of Boris Said and his plans to beat Greg Biffle's ass, and that sets the tone for the whole rest of the thing. Hostus Maximus Justin Fort goes after everyone, from people on Rascals to the lunchtime drunks and stoners at Chrysler who were fired for getting... wait for it... drunk and stoned at lunch. Of course, the UAW got them their jobs back, so those drunks and stoners are presumably still building Dodges. Dirty Dave takes the time to go after Rick Perry, and then board-opp Barrister Hilton goes after Dirty Dave. It's not 100% grim, though - there's shouts out to Toyota for their stay-at-home doggedness following the arsing Japan got at the hands of the Fukishima tsunami, the Garage Hour goons applaud the Air Force for parking a cruise missile up China's nose during the Serbian affair, and there's a bunch of good tracks backing this show. So many targets, so few triggers... It's the Garage Hour, alright, the rootinest, tootinest, highfalutinest piece of gearhead on air since Top Gear full of beer.
