Sona Nanotech CEO David Regan joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce a groundbreaking Research Agreement with BioVaxys Technology Corp. aimed at developing a novel class of cancer therapeutics. The collaboration unites two innovative technologies: BioVaxys' Immune Educating Platform (DPX) and Sona's Targeted Hyperthermia Therapy (THT), powered by proprietary gold nanorod technology. Sona's THT is an advanced photothermal cancer therapy that uses near-infrared light to generate localized heat within solid tumors. This thermal energy is delivered through Sona's biocompatible gold nanorods, which not only destroy tumor cells but also stimulate a strong immune response—a crucial factor in combating cancer recurrence. The research will explore how BioVaxys' DPX platform, known for priming the innate immune system, can further enhance this immune response when used in tandem with THT. “The potential synergy between these two technologies could significantly accelerate the immune system's ability to recognize and attack tumors,” said Regan. One area of focus is the use of DPX to deliver tumor-specific neoantigens—unique proteins that emerge after cancer cell mutations and are absent from healthy tissues. Since THT can induce these mutations and neoantigen expression, pairing it with DPX could dramatically improve immune system targeting and treatment efficacy. Essentially, THT triggers changes in tumor cells, and DPX packages those changes for the immune system to attack. The research initiative is supported by the Giacomantonio Immuno-Oncology Research Group, which will fund the preclinical studies. Both companies will contribute their core technologies to the collaboration. Any new therapeutic candidate developed will be jointly owned and prosecuted by BioVaxys and Sona, with a commercialization agreement planned ahead of a potential Phase 1 clinical trial. #proactiveinvestors #sonananotechinc #cse #sona #otcqb #snanf #CancerResearch #MelanomaTreatment #BioVaxys #DPXTechnology #ClinicalTrials #TargetedTherapy #GoldNanorods #OncologyInnovation #ProactiveInvestors

Can you believe it's already the start of another new month? The good news is that a new month means a new Pinball Industry News PINcast with Jonathan Joosten from Pinball Magazine and Martin Ayub from Pinball News. Having covered the first few days of the month in the previous PINcast, the duo look back on all the excitement from the pinball world throughout the remainder of September. After numerous teases, Jersey Jack Pinball finally announced their tenth game with the launch of Avatar: The Battle for Pandora. Featuring six flippers, three under-playfield areas and numerous wireforms criss-crossing the playfield, perhaps the greatest innovation is the use of UV-reactive ink across the playfield, plastics, inserts and sculpts. There's also a first-time pinball artist who created the playfield, cabinet and backbox art package, as well as a musician who composed the music for his first ever production pinball. To find out much more about them and the rest of the game, Jonathan and Martin are joined by the game's designer, Mark Seiden. Having launched their latest title just a few days earlier, Stern Pinball have been busy building and promoting their The Uncanny X-Men with video streams of gameplay along with a number of changes based on audience feedback. The company has been busy in Europe too, attending the IAAPA Europe event en masse, as well as hosting an evening with Gary Stern at the Dutch Pinball Museum. October is Pinball Expo month, so this latest PINcast looks ahead at what we can expect from all the major players at the show. There's also full details of the extensive seminar schedule and how you can get to enjoy all the main talks even if you can't be there in person. There's news about the debut of Homepin's new The Blues Brothers game, who has signed an exclusivity agreement with Spooky Pinball, when you can see and play DPX's new Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, who is manufacturing what, and why it looks like your final chance to get one of these titles before it is discontinued. Get all this and so very much more in this latest September 2024 edition of the Pinball Magazine and Pinball News PINcast – the podcast the pinball industry listens to. It may have been delayed by a few days to include the latest game launches and teases, but Jonathan Joosten from Pinball Magazine and Martin Ayub from Pinball News are back with the latest edition of their Pinball Industry News PINcast covering the month of August and the start of September. Stern Pinball got their new game launch in first with The Uncanny X-Men featuring some innovative shots in a truly ‘uncanny' playfield design from Jack Danger. The start of another new month means it's time to join Jonathan Joosten from Pinball Magazine and Martin Ayub from Pinball News for their look back at all the exciting news from the pinball world throughout March in their Pinball Industry News PINcast. There are two new games to discuss this month – one already launched and one about to be revealed – plus a radical update to another new title. American Pinball released their latest title with a tribute to legendary pinball designer, Barry Oursler, in their Barry O's Barbecue Challenge game. A dozen models were shipped to locations across the US for public play the day following the reveal, after which it became the star of American Pinball's stand at the Texas Pinball Festival. Just as this month's PINcast was being recorded, Pinball Brothers confirmed that their third game title would be based on the hugely-popular Swedish band ABBA. A full reveal is coming shortly, while there will be a launch party to mark exactly 50 years to the day since the group was launched onto the global stage by winning the Eurovision Song Contest. There's also much more news from Pinball Brothers with some personnel changes at the very top of the company. While not announcing their next game just yet, Dutch Pinball celebrate a milestone by launching a new offshoot called Dutch Pinball Exclusive (DPX) to produce short-run titles of 500 or fewer units. It hasn't been officially confirmed, but the likely first DPX title is discussed along with potential timescales for production. Last month there was news of a record-breaking auction price for a Jersey Jack Pinball Elton John Collector's Edition machine, but this month that record was itself smashed. Get all the details. Turner Pinball returned to the Texas Pinball Festival with a very different look to their Ninja Eclipse game, taking onboard much of the feedback from their appearance at Pinball Expo last October. Find out what's new and how the game plays as part of the extensive TPF 2024 show coverage. All this and much, much more is packed into this latest edition of the Pinball Industry News PINcast. DPX–or Decentre Property Exchange–is an online marketplace for real estate. And it comes from the heart and mind of Rob Hahn as a potential solution to current real estate buyer/seller woes. As Rob states, DPX offers transparency, highest price for a property, efficiency, faster transactions, and a better consumer experience. It's also duly noted that Rob Hahn, as the mind behind DPX, is treated in this episode more as a guest than a co-host as he is pretty much interviewed by the Fab Greg Robertson. Link to bioRxiv paper: http://biorxiv.org/cgi/content/short/2020.10.15.341941v1?rss=1 Authors: Gangwar, S. P., Bandyopadhyay, A., Saxena, A. K. Abstract: The Mycobacterium DprE2 is a NADH-dependent enzyme and converts the decaprenylphosphoryl-beta-D-ribose (DPX) to decaprenylphosphoryl-{beta}-D-arabinofuranose (DPA). The FAD-containing oxidoreductase MtbDprE1 and NADH-dependent reductase MtbDprE2 enzymes catalyses together the epimerization reaction, which coverts DPR to DPA. Here, MtbDprE2 enzyme was purified and structurally characterized using circular dichroism, molecular modelling and dynamics simulation techniques. The MtbDprE2 was purified, which eluted as oligomer from size exclusion column. The circular dichroism analysis yielded ~ 47.6% alpha-helix, ~ 19.8% beta-sheet and ~ 32.6% random coil structures in MtbDprE2 enzyme and showed highly thermostability. The molecular modelling of MtbDprE2 and its complex with NADH showed that it contains two domains (i) the large domain consists of central twisted seven beta-sheets decorated by eight alpha-helices and (ii) a small domain contains two short alpha-helices connect by loop. Overall, the MtbDprE2 adopts a typical short-chain dehydrogenase rossmann fold and NADH binds to Asp69, Ser147, Tyr160, Lys164 of catalytic triad and Gly16, Ser19, Glu20, Ile21 of Gly-rich motif of MtbDprE2. 1 ns dynamics simulation was performed on apo and NADH bound MtbDprE2, which indicated the small conformational change in ligand binding site, which resulted more closed pocket than open pocket observed in apo enzyme. Small conformational changes were observed in active site residues and orientation between large and small domains of MtbDprE2 upon NADH binding. Current knowledge of MtbDprE2 structure and its NADH binding mechanism will contribute significantly in development of specific inhibitors against M. tuberculosis. #037 - Today's interview is with Todd Bonner from Detroit Paranormal Expeditions. I saw Todd led his team recently to search for Bigfoot so I had to have him on for a chat to see what happens what a bunch of ghost hunters go looking for the Squatch! Detroit Paranormal Expeditions(DPX) was founded by Todd Bonner and Jeff Adkins in December of 2016. DPX researches and investigates reportedly haunted locations to help explain the causes of the phenomena experienced there. Through their experiences as paranormal investigators and collaborating with fellow paranormal investigation teams, they seek to better understand the unknown. DPX investigates places ranging from small historic buildings to larger, more well-known locations. They have found through years of investigating that many reported paranormal experiences can be explained rationally and scientifically. Still, there are some instances that remain unexplained. DPX has appeared on Travel Channel’s Paranormal Survivor, Haunted Case Files, Paranormal 9-1-1, Most Terryifying Places, Paranormal Caught on Camera and Destination FEAR. The group has been featured on many of Detroit’s largest media outlets, including Fox2, WDIV Click on Detroit, WXYZ 7 Action News, CBS Detroit, The Detroit Free Press, The Detroit News, The Detroit Metro Times, and MLive. They have found through years of investigating that many reported paranormal experiences can be explained rationally and scientifically. Still there are some instances that remain unexplained…and thats what we are talking about today. https://www.detroitparanormalexpeditions.com @detroitparanormalexpeditions
Big changes are starting now! The Dakota Podcasting Experience(DPX) is being given a name change. In an effort not to lump myself into categories, I've decided to rename DPX to The Tube's World Podcast. I want to encompass all of my passions into one channel, and that is now Tube's World. So here we go. For Episode 1 Season 2 of the Tube's World Podcast, I am opening up with why I have taken some time away. I have recently had my first bought with depression and anxiety. Stuff that has built up over the past 5 years has been starting to come up, and I go on in this episode to explain reasons for it and my outlook on the future. I decided not to film this episode and release only the audio. I am sure you can understand a lot of what I talk about in this episode being very difficult for me, so I just ask that you respect my decision in this. Thanks so much to every one in my life that takes the time to see me and talk to me. My closest friends mean the world to me.
