Drawing tangible inspiration from the early 2000s hard techno and groove hiatus, Evan Marshall's artistry continues to blossom, as the DJ is fast becoming a regular on the DJ circuit, plus one of the most prolific releaser of tunes in the whole country. Today we premiere his latest release entitled 'Cairo At Night'. Arabic inspirations permeate through the whole single from Alt8, dropping on @denseandpika's Kneaded Pains label, backed with a remix from fellow rising Irish artist, Aero. In its original mix, ‘Cairo At Night' pummels its way through spiritually charged vocals, bouncing tom toms and throbbing bass for quite the unique and transcendental techno vibe! Dublin based Aero slots in a remix that yields an alternate and raw take, rattling and grimy basement beats underpinning the divine mood. Early support on the release has received great feedback from; Amelie Lens, DJ Bone, Dax J, Nicole Moudaber, Coyu and many more. Alt8 has been producing since 2019, drawing influence from old school hard techno when devising drum sequences. He has released for labels such as Reckless, Rave Alert and Moments In Time. Thursday's premiere comes from a producer no stranger to the Irish scene, boasting a prolific 12 months of releases and European club shows, Alt8, as he drops his latest work on @dyenmusic's Reckless Records imprint. It's been a steady rise for the young Waterford producer, from playing his hometown clubs and parties, to having his music supported by some of the biggest DJs on the planet. Rodón was going for his second no-hitter of the season. He took a perfect game into the ninth inning against the Cleveland Indians on April 14, hitting a batter with one out before finishing the no-no. Eric Haase doubled with one out in the seventh on Sunday. Rodón finished the inning, allowing one run on one hit and two walks while striking out nine. Evan Marshall and Liam Hendriks completed the one-hitter, with Hendriks getting his AL-leading 17th save. Chicago kept up its success at Wrigley Field, where it's won six in a row and nine of 10. The teams combined for only six hits, four by the Cubs. Anthony Rizzo went 1 for 4 and recorded the game's only RBI. St. Louis has dropped three straight and 11 of 13 to fall one game below .500 at 32-33. That's better, isn't it?We can all agree that the start to the season has been less than enjoyable for the White Sox, but this weekend was closer to what the team advertised this spring.A victory over the Indians on Tuesday before Wednesday's snow out paired with a three-game sweep of the Texas Rangers this weekend has the White Sox on a four-game winning streak has Chicago on a four-game winning streak and just 1.5 games behind Kansas City for the top spot in the AL Central.Friday saw the White Sox jump all over old friend Dane Dunning for five runs in the third inning before Dunning was chased in favor of the bullpen. Dunning, who was traded to Texas in December for Lance Lynn, allowed five runs on eight hits in 2.2 innings of work on Friday night.Dylan Cease was underwhelming at best for the White Sox on Friday night, allowing two runs on three hits while walking three and striking out five in 3.1 innings of work before Evan Marshall allowed another three runs in his 1.2 innings of work.An RBI-double by Yermín Mercedes, an RBI single by Nick Madrigal, and a home run by Yoán Moncada helped secure a win in the latter innings for the White Sox.After a pitcher's duel on Saturday that ended in a walk-off 2-1 win for the White Sox, the stage was set for a potential sweep of the Rangers at Guaranteed Rate Field on Sunday afternoon.Michael Kopech -- starting in place of Lucas Giolito -- was masterful on Sunday. The 24-year-old right-hander was only slated for three-to-four innings on Sunday but ended up going five for Tony La Russa and the White Sox.Kopech allowed one run -- a solo homer to David Dahl -- on four hits while striking out ten and walking none in a winning effort. Kopech is now 2-0 with a 1.72 ERA and 27 strikeouts in 15.2 innings of work this season. Kopech made his first four appearances out of the bullpen but has since started a pair of games for the White Sox.In his two starts this season, Kopech is 1-0 with just two earned runs allowed on five hits with 14 strikeouts and one walk.Of course, Kopech was asked in the post-game media availability whether or not he would prefer to be a stater after his second consecutive starting outing."Yeah, of course, I want to go out there and pitch every fifth day," Kopech said. "But I just want to pitch for a team that wants to go out there and win."Michael Kopech wants to be a starting pitcher once again. Heck, by performance alone, he's earned it. But don't expect Kopech in the regular rotation any time soon. The White Sox will continue to be cautious with Kopech this season. The White Sox plated eight runs in the first three innings of Sunday's ballgame, including a two-run homer by Jose Abreu, and that would be enough for the Whits Sox to secure a win and a sweep over the Rangers. The White Sox will have an off day tomorrow before opening a three-game series with Detroit on Tuesday at Guaranteed Rate Field. Lucas Giolito will take the ball in game one as the White Sox (12-9) search for their fifth straight win.If you enjoy White Sox Daily, please consider a subscription. This week SSS duty geezer Leigh Allan and his son and west coast correspondent, Will, do respectful oohing and aahing about the contest between pitching masters Lucas Giolito and Shane Bieber on Tuesday night, with some minor booing and bahing about losing the game. The oohing and aahing continues for all the White Sox pitching lately, from Lance Lynn's complete-game gem to relievers like Evan Marshall and Liam Hendriks recovering from their poor starts and making it look like the bullpen may live up to its hype after all. Then the booing and bahing comes back for the offense, which isn't living up to the smallest hype you could find, the team — less Yermín Mercedes — hitting an anemic .198, without much power to speak of. Sure, Adam Eaton and Danny Mendick are hitting fine and so was Billy Hamilton ... but the rest? Yikes. So who should be sent down and/or out when Tim Anderson, Adam Engel and Hamilton return from the IL? We tell the front office who should go where (refraining from telling them where they themselves should go), but will they listen? Fat chance. Learn more about your ad choices. Guest: Evan Marshall, Chicago White Sox RP Over the weekend, the MLBPA decided that talks with the commissioner’s office were “futile” and now wait for Rob Manfred to determine when the 2020 season begins and for how long. After attempts to work out a deal with the owners, MLBPA has decided that their best course of action is to stop playing along. To provide insight and perspective on why the MLBPA would conduct themselves in this manner is Evan Marshall, relief pitcher for the Chicago White Sox. Marshall shares how the process has gone within the players association, what the owners refuse to share, and why the players are taking a firm stand.
MLB owners and players are still working to find a solution to start the 2020 season. Bruce Levine and Matt Spiegel opened their show by discussing the Cubs naming third baseman Kris Bryant their leadoff hitter, while the White Sox are deciding between shortstop Tim Anderson and third baseman Yoan Moncada atop their lineup.
