I had the pleasure of speaking to Ernest White II on June 8th, 2020, Live on my Instagram about Ernest's life, career, and the state of diversity within the travel industry. Ernest and I discussed his journey as a blogger, and when he started, the world of blogging was all so new. I discussed the transition he made in making that blog into a television docuseries called Fly Brother with Ernest White II. We spoke about the locations he filmed in and what he gained from those experiences, the plans he has for season 2 and what he would like to get out of that series and Fly Brother as a whole. Ernest also discussed how travelling had impacted his home life, whether he has been able to balance it all out. We also spoke about the current climate of racism within society, whether there is diversity within the travel industry. We also discussed what could be done to make it better than what it is now. I spoke to Ernest about some of his favourite places. It was a real pleasure having Ernest on my show. Ernest White II is producer and host of the upcoming public television travel show Fly Brother. In this second of two episodes, we discussed what’s involved in getting a show onto and collaborating with public television; the first season of Fly Brother, including listening to a sneak peak from the first episode; and what’s involved in producing each episode. Ernest also shared the time he ate fire for an episode and we discussed the effect of overtourism on some travel destinations.
