Thomas, affectionately known as "Dr. A", is the teen mom turned doctor who helps women "SOAR" by teaching them how to apply the life-changing methods of mindset, resilience, and action to Slay Odds & Achieve Results! As a teen mother turned doctor, Dr. A certainly had the odds stacked against her. Raised in the crime-ridden streets of Detroit, her family was turned upside down at age 13 when her parents divorced and days later her mother was shot five times in her stomach by a hitman – and survived! Adding to the family turmoil, just three years after the shooting, Dr. A gave birth to her son while still in high school. Despite it all, she went on to earn three degrees and six figures before the age of 30, all while raising her son and working full-time! She later earned her fourth degree, a doctorate in just 2.5 years! She didn't just beat the odds, she crushed them! "Dr. A", has sustained success in her career as a healthcare executive and university professor. Her established career spanning over 20 years has led to national and international awards, presentations, and academic publications. As a Christian woman, wife, and mother, she dedicates much of her personal time to her family and to ministry in her local church, where she serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors, Women's Ministry Director, and Director of Education.
