Late Night Internet Marketing with Mark Mason -- Affiliate Marketing Tips, Online Business Advice, Email Marketing and SEO

Today we will be discussing the concept of Key Performance Indices (KPIs) and their importance in measuring success. A KPI is essentially a measurable value that shows the progress towards a specific goal. For instance, weight is a common KPI for many people. However, the challenge with this type of KPI is that it is a lagging indicator, meaning it only tells us what has already happened, not what is going to happen. In a business setting, it is more valuable to use leading indicators, which are KPIs that predict future outcomes, in order to make adjustments and achieve our goals. For example, as a solo entrepreneur, we may be most concerned with the amount of money our business makes, whether it be revenue or profit. However, once January is over and we know how much money we made, it is too late to make adjustments to achieve our goal of growing our business in 2023. That's why we need to be measuring things that are related to actually achieving the goal, not only measuring whether or not we achieved the goal after the fact. One example of a leading indicator in a business setting could be using affiliate marketing as a way to predict and potentially achieve a goal. By closely monitoring the progress and success of our affiliate marketing efforts, we can make informed decisions on how to adjust and improve in order to reach our desired outcome. In conclusion, leading indicators are crucial for predicting and achieving business goals. We hope you found this information valuable, and encourage you to look into more resources on KPIs and leading indicators to take your business to the next level.

Episode 420 Are you ready to take the next step forward in keeping with your highest alignment? I hope so! Making sure your energy centers aren't blocked is helpful when you are reaching for those business goals. It's often the reason we have a hard time standing out, being visible to our soulmate clients, and being heard. I want to help you determine if there is a place in your energy field that could be out of alignment and stopping you from your business growth. Today I'm sharing the most common blocked energy centers for entrepreneurs and taking you through each of the 7 Chakras so you can be on the lookout for where you could be blocked.   Highlights you wouldn't want to miss: Your chakras, your energy, and your physical body are not separate things! Each of the 7 main chakras has a specific energy. The two most frequently blocked chakras I see for entrepreneurs. Trying to generate energy with caffeine and pushing can lead to burnout. Your inner GPS is always available to you. Your innate worthiness is within you, you are enough.   Action Steps to Align Your Biz: After listening to this episode, try to notice where you are blocked and which energy center, or chakra, is where you're getting out of alignment. If you're resistant to having business goals or knowing your “numbers” because it's too stuffy or “not you”, I totally get it, but is it really how we should view our business as Christians?  In this episode, I'm going to talk about a different way to look at business that might just influence how you see business goals.  With all of the reflections looking at 2022 and then looking ahead into 2023 and planning, there are a lot of different ways to go about this. Some people are super casual about it, like writing down the top 5 wins and then others are super methodical and detailed like calculating all of the profit and loss and running all of their “numbers” for their business.  At first, this made me cringe because I have no interest in being “that” kind of business. But then, God gave me a different perspective shift that I want to share with you today.  In this episode, you'll learn the 3 Biblical truths that will shift how you see business goals (and your business).  I hope you're encouraged by this episode and that you continue shifting your mindset toward Jesus so you can do all that He is calling you to do.  Need clarity on what to do next?  Grab a Biblical Mindset session for only $37.  In just one hour, you'll get clarity so you can take God-inspired action as an entrepreneur. As the new year approaches, many business owners and professionals are looking to set goals for the upcoming year. Whether you're looking to grow your business, increase profits, or simply improve efficiency, setting goals can help you stay focused and motivated throughout the year. But how do you go about setting goals that are both achievable and challenging? One effective method is to use the SMART acronym, which stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. A specific goal is one that is clearly defined and easy to understand. For example, "increase profits by 10% in the next six months" is a specific goal, while "improve profits" is not. Measurable goals have a clear way to track progress. In the example above, the goal is to increase profits by 10%, which can be easily measured by comparing profits at the start and end of the six-month period. Achievable goals are those that are realistic given your current resources and circumstances. If you don't have the necessary staff or equipment to achieve your goal, it may not be realistic. Relevant goals are those that align with your overall business objectives. If your goal doesn't contribute to the overall success of your business, it may not be worth pursuing. Finally, time-bound goals have a specific deadline for completion. This helps to create a sense of urgency and ensures that you stay on track. Once you've identified your goals, it's important to create a plan for achieving them. This may involve breaking your goals down into smaller, more manageable tasks, setting deadlines, and identifying any resources or support you may need. It's also important to be flexible and open to adjusting your goals if circumstances change. Life and business are unpredictable, and it's okay to reassess and make adjustments as needed. Finally, don't forget to celebrate your successes along the way. Achieving your goals is an accomplishment, and recognizing your progress can help keep you motivated. In conclusion, setting new year, new goals for your business can help you stay focused and motivated throughout the year. By using the SMART acronym and creating a plan for achieving your goals, you can increase your chances of success and make meaningful progress toward your business objectives.

If setting a big, audacious goal at the beginning of every year doesn't get you lit up or intimidates you, I want you to consider setting goals in a different way. If your goals are constantly revolving around other people taking action, the likelihood of you actually accomplishing those goals is way less likely to happen, because you have no ownership of those goals.Instead, make your goals you-centered, so that you know EXACTLY what you need to do to make your goals happen, and you can measure the effectiveness of the action you take to accomplish those goals. So in this episode of the 6-Figure Secrets Podcast I'm diving into:The difference between a goal that is focused on other people taking action, and one that focuses on you taking actionWhy actively doing more to hit your goal, isn't necessarily a good idea and can fast track your burn outHow to reverse engineer the activity that goes into your goal, and why adding something else into your efforts, could create different resultsRESOURCES:Find the blog post that accompanies this episode hereApply for Done-For-You Email Funnels and ConsultingCONNECT WITH ALLISON:Follow Allison on InstagramDID YOU HAVE AN 'AH-HA MOMENT' WHILE LISTENING TO THIS EPISODE?If you found value and are ready to take action from listening to this episode, head to Apple Podcasts and help us reach new audiences by giving the podcast a rating and a review. We're celebrating! My 39th birthday and the first anniversary of the Hey Hey Emmy Show Podcast are on the same day. This is the perfect opportunity to reflect on the past year and my podcast. Despite missing a few goals, we've learned a lot and reached many milestones. It includes being in the 20% of podcasters who don't make it past 25 episodes.  Although I planned to provide 2 episodes a week, every week, I am excited to have 83 episodes and 10,460 downloads as we reach our one-year anniversary. It would not have been possible without each and every one of you. I appreciate you and your support. Take a moment to reflect on the past year as well. Birthdays, anniversaries, and New Year's are great times to remind you to reflect. What have you accomplished, what have you failed to accomplish, and what have you changed over the past 365 days? It's time to get started on those things you've been thinking about. Get rid of the belief that I'll be happy once I do this. When I reach a certain number of followers, I will be happy. When I make a certain amount of money, I'll be happy. There is no better day than today to begin your journey to happiness.  Don't be afraid to start that podcast. Don't hesitate to read the book if you want to. Do the things that bring you joy and celebrate each moment by traveling, exploring, and doing the things you love. Take a moment to reflect on how far you have come. If you look at how far you've come, you'll see how much those micro-changes have impacted your life.  A new year is just around the corner, and I'm so excited. I hope that by sharing my testimony and story I can help you uncover your true identity. Providing inspiration, support, and a sense of belonging. It's going to be a wild ride next year, I can't wait to tell you more. Apply for my 2-MONTH 1:1 Coaching Program HERE. I am so excited you are here and are ready to jam on the gram.
