0 mins In this episode we get the gang back together as I am joined by Jaime, Hector and Hiram. We start by talking about Deshawn Watson being free of all criminal charges but he's not completely out of the water. Tom Brady has to spoil the fun by announcing his Unretirement. We also give a shout out to the fajita bandit who we talked about in early season one. 8:00 minWe get into our BBQ talk as the Harvest Fest cook off in Edinburg looms this coming weekend. We reminisce as this was our first IBCA cookoff where we get a Grand Championship and some pretty sweet trophies. Although we had some fancy cooking equipment at this point we kept it simple by cooking on 3 weber smokers and grills. Hector says it's his second worst brisket of al time however we manage a first place call. Hector gives a review about Weber as a company as he recently had some issues with his Weber smoker but through great customer services it was easily resolved. 19:00 minHiram takes you behind the red curtain in Hollywood as he tried some Texas Barbecue over the weekend. No he was not in Texas but in LA trying out a restaurant from a celebrity chef. He gives us his not so shinny review of some Brisket, chicken, sausage, ribs, pulled pork and some ahi tuna. Yes you heard that right, ahi tuna at a Texas Barbecue themed joint. We also get into a discussion about some not so well taken comments by Kim Kardashian. She thinks women need to get up and work more. 35:00 minWe talk about walk up songs again and what we have planned for the upcoming cookoff at the Courage to Change Palmer Drug Abuse Program Cookoff. I ask the guys if there are songs that make you change the station when you hear them. 44:00 minWe wrap thing up by talking about some practice briskets that hector is going to cook to make up for some recent cooking fails he has had. A bunch of joes that cook like pros!!!Law Office of Hector Hernandezhttp://hhernandezlaw.com/?fbclid=IwAR3kaG_wQzrsUJ-cVxJLUyjvipMPM1R59xo9YMKFFsiGHaaUgdZ8hd8cB7YPalmer Drug Abuse Program Palmer Drug Abuse Program (pdapmcallen.org)

This week we're discussing every album by the rabid DMX. We scheduled this episode immediately after the tragic death of DMX (aka Earl Simmons), so this is what we consider timely. Most people should be familiar with DMX simply because his music has been featured in every single film since 1998. As #EFTV hits 150, we use the episode to look back at the life and work of 'DMX' (Earl Simmons). My homie Dan jumps in to not just go over this crazy career, but also reflect on the impact the albums and music had on our lives. 18 December 1970 - 9 April 2021 In 1991, DMX hit The Source's Unsigned Hype column. Which started the momentum, that got fuelled by Mic Geronimo's 'Time To Build' single, that featured X, Jay-Z & Ja Rule. Guest spots on '24 Hrs. to Live' by Mase, 'Money, Power & Respect' by The LOX, '4, 3, 2, 1' by LL Cool J. Lead to 'It's Dark and Hell Is Hot' in February 1998 and seven months later (December 1998) he drops 'Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood'. A year later (December 1999) '... Hey, I think I left my podcast here.... I'm back to collect. Missed you guys, been a rough April personally and nothing will ever be the same but before we get to that. The beginning of todays podcast gives an update on the late DMX ( this podcast was recorded a few days before his passing, just received the news of the incident while setting up to record) If you are a listener of my second podcast skip to mark (17:00) next the long duration is explained and the new direction of the podcast grows some legs. We also have received information that there are now TWO, THATS RIGHT, TWO!! Podcast that have been inspired by your AWARD WINNING WORLD FAMOUS Podcast HUH!! WHO ELSE BUT US HUH! Welcome Back Mondayer's, and even though I'm glad you're here...it must mean it's Monday, yet again. Today's Episode is the actually first episode of the iHateMonday series but with the recent passing of DMX we felt it would only be fitting to let the Grand Champ stay high at number one for the remainder of this podcast for however long that may be. We start with a old saying 'If you're the only one real, soon you real become the only one fake, and what that means in todays society.(6:45) Alt-Right hates Mondays too I guess... 'that was weird',(20:00) We hit the Meat and Potatoes of todays conversation, OnlyFans. With all of its exposure good, bad, or indifferent, Only Fans has become one of the largest monetizing platforms for 'independent developers' and I am releasing one in the upcoming weeks. Even though there is plenty of opportunity to make a a decent amount of money on a weekly basis, the stigmas, scams, personalities involved in the content and how business is conducted, has had the internet juggernaut in hot water on more than one occasion. What makes it ok? how far is too far? Would you make it a career? How long is to long to hang around? do you judge Only fan content creators? Do you judge the consumer of the content? Lets have a somewhat tough conversation on a rather popular outlet. Enjoy the cast, and remember to choose a co worker to be nice to today! DMX, the gravel-voiced rapper and actor who topped the charts with tracks including "Party Up" and "X Gon' Give It to Ya," has died at age 50, his family said Friday in a statement. The rapper, whose real name was Earl Simmons, had a heart attack on April 2, according to his lawyer, Murray Richman. He was immediately hospitalized in grave condition. "Earl was a warrior who fought till the very end," his family said in the statement. "He loved his family with all of his heart and we cherish the times we spent with him." White Plains Hospital confirmed that DMX passed away "peacefully with family present after suffering a catastrophic cardiac arrest." DMX broke onto the rap scene in 1998 with his first studio album, "It's Dark and Hell Is Hot." The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, powered by hits such as "Ruff Ryders' Anthem," "Get At Me Dog" and "Stop Being Greedy." He achieved more success with the albums "...And Then There Was X," "Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood," "The Great Depression" and "Grand Champ" — all of which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard chart. DMX released seven albums and earned three Grammy nominations. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/thes3podcast/message

Photo courtesy: Town of Rangely Thanks for listening to Rio Blanco County news. Here are highlights from the August 20 edition of the Herald Times. This week Herald Times staff visited White River Electric Association and hopped into a very shiny, quiet, and speedy new Tesla Model 3 for a test drive that at times felt more like a theme park ride. The vehicle is one of two EVs on loan to WREA from Tri-State Generation and Transmission, as part of their “Beneficial Electrification” program. Check out our Facebook page or Youtube channel to see a special video of the car and some parts of the drive, and read more about Tri-State’s promotion on the front page. Also on the front page this week we hear from Spencer Gates of Meeker, who’s on his way to state fair after taking home the title of Grand Champ. He won for market, breeding and showmanship with his Boer goat, Al. Gates shares lessons learned, plans for the future, the benefits of brotherly competition and more in this week’s edition. Meeker Resident Bob Tobin noticed smoke Friday afternoon as he pulled into his driveway near the top of Seventh Street, and sure enough a fire had broken out near two large water towers in the area, Tobin was the first on the scene and reported the fire. Within an hour Meeker and BLM firefighters had the blaze under control. The Pine Gulch fire near Grand Junction is reported at over 125 thousand acres after growing 30,000 acres overnight on Tuesday August 18th. It is now the second largest fire in Colorado history. The Grizzly Creek fire burning in Glenwood Canyon was reported just over 28,000 acres as of press time. I-70 remains closed, marking the longest closure of the stretch of highway in recent history. Photos of the 7th Street Water Tower Fire, Pine Gulch and Grizzly Creek fires are on pages 2A and 3A. With the addition of one new COVID-19 case in Rangely on August 17, Rio Blanco County’s total case count rose to 21. As of press time Wednesday, the county’s public health department reports 20 of those cases are recovered. No hospitalizations have been recorded. You can check the latest stats at rbc.us/592/coronavirus-update. Meeker School district won’t be offering transportation service inside Meeker city limits for the 2020-2021 school year, in an effort to achieve appropriate physical distancing. Former meeker attorney Joe Fennessy has a new role in our local courtroom, that of county judge. He replaces Laurie Noble, who retired in July after 28 years in Rio Blanco County Courts. The Herald Times sent a list of questions to Fennessy about his new appointment and he responded via email. Read his answers on page 2A Fifth street bridge and all of Circle Park are closed to public access for construction of park infrastructure and amenity improvement projects. The park is expected to reopen next year. Project updates are at erbmrec.com Rio Blanco County residents will be voting on term limits for most county officials in a few months. Commissioners elected to add all offices except surveyor to the ballot. That story on page 7A. The 20th anniversary edition of the Northwest Colorado Hunting Guide is in production and hits shelves on September 3rd. Local stories and more this year, don’t miss it.
