Hi Friends, Today we are talking about Decluttering and Divorce.  This is a topic that I've wanted to address for some time, and I have the perfect guests for y'all!  T.H Irwin & Jessica Klingbaum are best friends, podcasters and founders of the exExperts, a free online community for women going through divorce. We kick off the show by having them each share their personal experiences. What I found so interesting is how they lived very different lives, with parallel stories. Although both TH and Jessica navigated their divorces separately, together they found comfort in helping each other along the way. Out of their personal stories and professional experiences, The ExExperts was created. Their website is the go-to resource on everything you need to know about divorce–from parenting, to finance, you can find support where you need it. What I love most is their no-nonsense, honest approach to walking alongside their community because they have “been there,done that.” As someone who has never been through a divorce, I was curious to know how each one approached the decluttering process which can be overwhelming in itself, let alone separating households. During our conversation I asked them questions like: Was there more or less emotional clutter when you were separating your homes? What were the items that were easy to part with? What items did you choose to hold onto from your married life? How did you navigate the back and forth logistics of clothing, activities, and homework? In this introduction to season two, I share some thoughts about the direction of this season, including some of the core themes that I'll be exploring through conversations with some truly phenomenal human beings, and brilliant thought leaders, in the psychedelic space and beyond. What we are witnessing right now in the psychedelic space is truly unprecedented, and it's not necessarily all a "good" thing. There are a lot of different factors and forces at play that complicate things. We are all being forced to live our lives and operate within old paradigms and structures that were built for a different era. We are living in late-stage capitalism and these very powerful compounds are emerging in a western medicalized culture that doesn't actually have a lot of recent historical context for sacramental use of hallucinogens. Meanwhile, everyone's got a super strong opinion about how this movement "should" go down. This season we'll be exploring a variety of very nuanced, tricky, and challenging topics that explores the complexity of this movement with a deeper inquiry as to how we can contribute to the movement in the best way possible, starting with the invitation to lean into these conversations by listening with an open heart and an open mind. Intimacy can be described as close familiarity or friendship, or as my dad would say "into me, you see". It's a way of getting to know someone and as a by-product, building a deeper level of love and relationship. While many would say that intimacy is about sex and physicality, it's much more than that. It's spiritual, emotional and mental too. Practicing strong boundaries and using wisdom is the key when getting to know someone romantically. We're going to unpack practical tools on how to build intimacy over time. I'll also be sharing my No Go Bro list.
