Jon Taylor is an interdisciplinary scientist dedicated to the subject of anomalous phenomena related to cognition.He was born in Wakefield, England, and graduated from the University of Cambridge with an MA in Natural Sciences. He began his career in research and marketing within the field of scientific instruments. He then switched to consumer marketing and moved to Spain in 1976 to become International Marketing Director for wine producer Williams & Humbert Ltd., Jerez de la Frontera.Later, he joined the oil industry, and after engagement on contracts in Britain, Italy and Spain, he was transferred to the Middle East, where he served as Materials & Purchasing Manager for the National Drilling Company, Abu Dhabi.Taylor has always been intrigued by psychic phenomena, and when he returned to Spain in 1993, he started a full-time investigation of the physical and biological principles underlying precognition and intuition. His research continued for more than 25 years, during which he published in peer-reviewed academic journals and lectured to specialist audiences, as well as to the general public, in Britain and Europe.Taylor presented his theory of ESP in a lecture at the 56th Annual Convention of the Parapsychological Association (PA), held in Rome, Italy, in August 2013, and he described the theory in a paper titled “The Nature of Precognition” published in the Journal of Parapsychology, March 2014.He then applied his theory to explain intuition, and presented his research at the PA Convention in Paris, July 2019. He was also invited to participate in a workshop organized by the Institut Métapsychique International, in which 30 scientists from all over the world examined the theoretical aspects of psychic phenomena. The workshop was in celebration of the Centenary of the IMI. When information on abundance is collected, standardised monitoring enables the detection of subtle temporal changes in populations, species and communities.In France, Vigie-flore is such a standardised monitoring scheme targeting wild flora launched in 2009, involving amateur and professional botanists to survey plant communities across all habitat types. The monitoring data have revealed an ongoing, nationwide reshuffling of plant communities in response to climate change, but also a decline of common insect-pollinated species over the last decade, with consequences for community composition. These studies contribute to highlighting rapid changes in wild flora on a national scale and identifying plausible mechanisms. We will discuss the direct implications for conservation and the perspectives of this plant monitoring scheme.Gabrielle MartinI am an associate professor in botany and plant community ecology at Toulouse University and at the Centre de Recherche sur la Biodiversité et l'Environnement since 2021. Previously a post-doctoral researcher in plant community ecology at the Centre des Sciences de la Conservation (CESCO) at the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle and at the Institut Méditerranéen de Biodiversité et d'Ecologie after a PhD in ecology (MNHN). I study how, and with what intensity, the various components of global change affect the composition of plant communities and changes in species abundance, using trait-based approaches and spatio-temporal analyses. My current research focuses on the impacts of global change on wild flora, the links between temporal trends in species and plant life history traits, the detection of syndromes in the response of species and groups of species, and the identification of the spatial heterogeneity of threats to flora. I am teaching botany, plant biology and plant ecology at university at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

One Health is a concept which described the health not only of humans, but also of the envionment and animals. Our Guest, Dr Yogandree Ramsamy tells us about its origins, who governs the principles and how it can be applied to antimicrobial resistance and everyday clinical practice. About our Guest: Dr Yogandree Ramsamy, a medical doctor with a specialization in medical microbiology (MBChB, MMedPath (Microbiology), FCPath(SA)(Microbiology), PhD), is currently a Senior Pathologist in Medical Microbiology at JDJ Diagnostics. As a recipient of the One Health AMR Fellowship from the Université Paris Cité and Fondation Mérieux, the Institut Mérieux-ICAN Young Investigator Award in antimicrobial resistance (AMR), the L'Oreal-UNESCO for Women in Science Award and the SEDRIC-Wellcome Trust Travel Scholarship, Dr Ramsamy is extremely passionate about AMR and implementation of antimicrobial stewardship programs (ASPs). Currently a member of several local and international committees related to Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) and Infection Prevention and Control, Dr Ramsamy is committed to the fight against AMR. She has served on the provincial KZN Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) Committee, promoting the concept of AMR and AMS within the KZN public health sector in line with the South African National AMR Strategy. Her Master's focused on AMR, AMS and surveillance in the South African landscape and her PhD entailed investigating Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales (CRE) in a One Health context. She is a honorary research fellow in the Antimicrobial Research Unit at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Her keen research interest in AMR, AMS and AMR surveillance has culminated in original research generating several publications + local and international conference presentations. La jolie bande de l'IME Excelsior (Le Rancy) vous regarde, vous écoute, vous questionne, MAIS NE VOUS JUGENT JAMAIS. Sauf un peu si jamais tu n'as toujours pas de compte insta ou snap.. Un IME c'est quoi? Et bien c'est un institut médico-éducatif , autrement dit c'est un lieu pour les jeunes pouvant présenter certains troubles psychiques, et qui leur propose une éducation adaptée et un accompagnement médico-social pour chacun d'entre eux.  Les jeunes de l'IME dans les studios de Radio Campus Paris Nour, Maxime, Logan, Yannis et Adam sont des jeunes sympas, marrants et curieux de la radio. Accompagnés de leurs bienveillantes éducatrices Sabrina et Alyson, ils sont devenus hyper à l'aise avec le micro et vont même bientôt créer leur propre radio au sein de l'IME, suite au temps passé à parler ensemble lors de plusieurs ateliers radio. Quel est le sujet sur cet assemblage de sons enregistrés avec eux ? Les réseaux sociaux et le cool/pas cool de leurs usages. Et puis ils se sont baladés dans l'IME pour faire du micro-trottoir et faire des questions réponses à l'aveugle, tout en lâchant un petit freestyle de rap à la fin. Nous l’étudions. » Telle est la devise de l’Institut Métapsychique International (IMI), auquel l’Espace Art Absolument consacre son exposition estivale. L’Institut, qui célèbre cette année son centenaire, mène une étude scientifique des phé- nomènes parapsychiques. Prémonitions, télékinésie, clairvoyance, télépathie… Ces manifestations insolites y sont abordées par des méthodes quantitatives (sta- tistiques) et des expérimentations en laboratoire, à l’aide de systèmes comme la détection par rayons infrarouges ou les générateurs de nombres aléatoires. Présentant autant une série de dessins réalisés sous l’impulsion d’expériences transcendantales que des appareils de mesure – également dignes d’intérêt sur le plan plastique –, l’exposition aborde la médiumnité sous deux angles dis- tincts. Il s’agit d’abord de son apport en tant qu’expérience esthétique, avec une vingtaine de dessins aux visages nébu- leux et aux lignes sinueuses réalisés par Fernand Desmoulin pendant sa période médiumnique de 1900 à 1903. Un versant scientifique s’inscrit en complément, avec notamment des plaques de protocole expérimental ou des moulages de mains en plâtre, coulés à partir d’apparitions à forme humaine dans une matière ecto- plasmique – la paraffine fondue. Pensée avec le docteur en psychologie expérimentale et président de l’IMI Mario Varvoglis, l’exposition entend faire mieux connaître cette approche rationalisée des expériences transcendantales. Elle rappelle combien certains phénomènes dits « surnaturels » restent déconcertants pour la science institutionnelle. Curator, Rina Ralay-Ranaivo photo ©farrenkopf Born in 1984 in Antananarivo, Madagascar, Curator Rina Ralay-Ranaivo lives and works between Antananarivo and Berlin.Rina Ralay-Ranaivo started his career at the Institut Français of Madagascar. For twelve years (2006 to 2018) he was in charge of the artistic programming of this flagship institution of Malagasy cultural life. This transversal work enabled him to design  produce and manage several projects in the field of visual arts and dance. It gave him the opportunity to work with countless Malagasy artists (Joël Andrianomearisoa, Madame Zo, Rijasolo, Ariry Andriamoratsiresy, Pierrot Men, Christiane Ramanantsoa), Pan-African artists (Kettly Noël, Omar Viktor Diop, Ballaké Sissoko) Oceanic artists (Pascal Montrouge, Hans Nayna, Davy Sicard...) and artists from Europe (Claude Brumachon, Moise Touré, Bernardo Montet, Pascal Maitre, The Shopping) Rina Ralay-Ranaivo is also a visual artist and his work has been shown in art centers and contemporary art events in Africa and Europe. He has curated several exhibitions, all in his country, the most important of which is entitled “Ici la limite du royaume est la mer” (2018): a collective and retrospective exhibition of the last twenty years of the history of Malagasy contemporary artistic expressions. Previously, Rina Ralay-Ranaivo had been a cultural journalist for the Malagasy newspaper La Gazette de la Grande Ile (2003 to 2005), after studying Information Science and Communication at the University of Antananarivo. This proposal by the Ministry of Culture and Joël Andrianomearisoa to curate the Malagasy Pavilion at the 58th edition of La Biennale di Venezia is an essential mission for several obvious reasons. It is a tremendous honour that comes at the right moment, on the eve of a new orientation in my career. It is also a commitment that I accepted out of friendship, for the artist and for the association Revue Noire, with whom I have maintained both a complicity and a working relationship for about fifteen years. This invitation to write together, in a dialogue and collectively, a page in the history of Malagasy arts is an act that brings us even closer together. This curation is an unprecedented exercise: interacting intimately with the artist on his way of making poetry, drama, emotion and give them shape. Elle est pédopsychiatre dans un Institut Médico-Educatif.C’est un métier difficile parce qu'elle côtoie ce que la société n’aime pas montrer: la misère, la maltraitance, la souffrance.Pourtant, on ne retient de cette conversation que la passion qui anime Cécile depuis ses études de médecine; elle nous dit combien la pédopsychiatrie a évolué depuis qu’elle l’a apprise à la faculté. Elle explique aussi qu’il faut se faire confiance et apprendre à “faire le ménage dans ses émotions” pour soigner l’autre.Son métier requiert une vaste palette de compétences comportementales, qui va de l’écoute à l’humour en passant par la curiosité, l’humilité, l’empathie et la capacité à apprendre.
