chin-wag: to have a chat, a friendly conversation. Actor Paul Giamatti and Stephen Asma, author and philosopher, join forces for a freewheeling series of conversations that dive deep (like, really, really deep) into the wilderness of the mind. Featuring prominent guests from diverse fields, Chinwag is esoteric in the best way possible, as Paul and Stephen delve into anything and everything: Are we living in a simulation? What’s the most perfect sentence in literature? Is Bigfoot interdimensional? Science, the occult, philosophy, magic mushrooms… it’s all fair game! Unexpected, hilarious, and maybe even profound — Chinwag is all about having a really, really good chat. === New episodes drop Wednesdays for free here: http://apple.co/chinwag Make sure to follow us @chinwagpod 👉🼠YT: https://www.youtube.com/@chinwagpod IG: https://www.instagram.com/chinwagpod/ Tik: https://www.tiktok.com/@chinwagpod Website: http://chinwagpod.fm For Treefort details ðŸ„â€â™‚ï¸ on over here Site: https://treefort.fm Twitter: https://twitter.com/TreefortMedia Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/treefort.fm/

The Paul Giamatti's CHINWAG with Stephen Asma podcast is an incredibly enjoyable and unique listening experience. From the stream of consciousness dialogue to the interesting guests, this podcast stands out from others in the best way possible. The hosts have a great dynamic and the conversations are always fascinating. I particularly love the random nature of the topics and how they can wander for an hour or more. It truly mimics real-world conversations and keeps me engaged from start to finish. Plus, Paul Giamatti's narration of stories like "The Cask of Amontillado" is absolutely chilling and brings them to life in a way I haven't heard before.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is its ability to entertain while also providing educational insights. I constantly learn something new from each episode, whether it's about paranormal phenomena like ghosts or discussions on dimensional interplay within alien theories. The show covers a wide range of interesting topics that you wouldn't find on other podcasts, making it a refreshing listen.
The only downside I can think of is that sometimes I don't fully agree with some of Paul's conclusions or opinions, but that doesn't take away from my overall enjoyment of the discussions. It's actually part of what makes it so entertaining - hearing different perspectives and debating ideas. Additionally, while there are episodes dedicated to creepy ghosts, it would be great to have more content specifically focused on that subject.
In conclusion, The Paul Giamatti's CHINWAG with Stephen Asma podcast is a must-listen for anyone who enjoys thought-provoking conversations mixed with humor and entertainment. The chemistry between the hosts is fantastic, and they bring on guests who provide informed insights on various topics. This podcast takes you on a journey through intriguing subjects that you didn't know you wanted to explore. Long live The Chinwag!
☢️☢️☢️ Paul and Stephen are joined by Stuff You Should Know's Chuck Bryant for a deep wag on lizard people, the importance and impermanence of what we leave behind, the rarity of finding dinosaur bones, nuclear semiotics, and of course, the Silurian Hypothesis. How do we know advanced civilizations didn't exist before us and what does that mean for life on other planets? How can we be sure that proof of past civilizations hasn't decayed without a trace? And why does it even matter if intelligent life was here billions of years ago? What counts as a sign of intelligence and can you build technology without thumbs? Paul and Stephen are all too happy to not be considered experts, or even factually accurate, but if there's one podcast future generations discover, THIS is the Wag that could help define our civilization's legacy. Or not. Get on board Wagoneers! Chin-word of the week: THE ANTIKYTHERA MECHANISM Paul Giamatti is an award-winning actor and producer, and the self-proclaimed Emperor of Neptune.
