Latvijas valstsvienība pasaules čempionātu hojekā iesāka ar uzvaru, 10. maiijā Stokholmā pirmajā spēlē ar 4:1 uzveica Francijas izlasi. Bet jau šodien pulksten 17.20 Latvijas hokeja izlasei otrā spēle šī gada pasaules čempionātā - pret Kanādu. Spēle nebija viegla. Jāņēm vērā, ka Latvijas izlasei nebija neviena treniņa spēļu norises arēnā pirms mača, spēles dienā tikai slidošana. Otrs - Latvija un Francijas izlases tikās dienas noslēdzošajā spēlē, un arī ledus kvalitāte arēnā vairs nebija tik labs, tas bija "saguris". Arī spēlētāji un treneri norādīja, ka ledus faktors ietekmējis spēles gaitu, bet arī bilda, ka pašiem vajadzējis būt organizētākiem un disciplinētākiem. Bet pirms spēles notika vakar raidījumā pieminētais jau tradicionālais Latvijas fanu gājiens. Šodien spēle ar Kanādas izlasi, kas savā pirmajā čempionāta spēlē uzvarēja Slovēniju ar 4:0. Latvijas un Kandādas izlases savstarpēji tikušās 13 oficiālos mačos - 11 uzvaras Kanādai, Latvijai vienīgā uzvara 2021. gadā Rīgā ar 2:0, vēl arī neizšķirts Latvijas debijas čempionātā 1997. gadā. Latvijas izlases spēlētāji atzīst, ka jārespektē Kanāda, bet nav jābīstas un jāspēlē tas hokejs, ko Latvijas vienība prot. "Jāspēlē pašaizliedzīgi, spēku esam daudz patērējuši, bet adrenalīns visiem ir iekšā. (..) Jānospēlē tā, lai kanādieši atceras mūsu uzvārdus," uzskata treneris Harijs Vītoliņš.

Valor Kand in conversation with David Eastaugh https://officialchristiandeath.com/ American rock band formed  in 1979 by Rozz Williams. Williams was eventually joined by guitarist Rikk Agnew of the band Adolescents, James McGearty on bass guitar and George Belanger on drums. This line-up was responsible for producing the band's best known work, their 1982 debut studio album Only Theatre of Pain, which was highly influential in the development of the style of music known as death rock, as well as on the American gothic scene which also produced bands such as Kommunity FK and 45 Grave. Following the release of Only Theatre of Pain, Christian Death's line-up fell apart, and by the time of the band's second studio album, Catastrophe Ballet (1984), Rozz had been joined by Valor Kand of tour mates Pompeii 99 on vocals and guitar. Following the release of the band's third studio album, Ashes, in 1985, Williams left the band and Kand became frontperson, with no original members of the band remaining. This resulted in a divide in the band's fanbase and created controversy that has continued to this day.
