Episode 195: Every Christian understands gaining eternal is obtained by just believing in the Jesus Christ. This is completely wrong. Even Jesus tells his followers to observe the commandments of the Most-High in order to gain eternal life. This podcast is a continuation of the subject matter discussed in Podcast 194. Again, we are not followers of Jesus; but find his teachings on eternal life a wakeup call to all Christians that following the commandments is the only way to eternal life.
As we have seen in the book of Acts, the time between the resurrection of Christ and the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70 was a time of overlap between the old and new covenants. Christ Himself was the sacrifice of the new covenant, which was better by far than the blood of bulls and goats. Christ is the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world and our text today is designed in order that we would join with those heavenly voices saying, “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain” (Revelation 5:12).
Continuing a look at the book of 1 John, Pastor Jack Graham brings a powerful message today on the apostle John – who was transformed by the love of Christ and radically changed. His primary purpose was to share the life of Jesus Christ – not only physical but eternal and spiritual life. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/395/29

So much of how we spend our time is shaped by invisible rules we never agreed to. From how often you check email to how long you take to reply, these “time rules” run in the background - until you stop to question them. In part two of this conversation, New York Times bestselling author Chris Guillebeau joins me to talk about how to break free from these hidden rules and why living well beats chasing productivity hacks any day. Chris shares the question that helps him reset when he feels stuck, the “eighth day of the week” exercise that can change how you use your time, and his take on why the system or app you use doesn’t really matter. In this episode, Chris and I talk about: The “eighth day of the week” exercise for making time for what matters How to spot the hidden “time rules” running your life The 40-minute reflection rule that helps Chris stay on track Why Chris believes the greatest productivity hack is to love what you do How to decide what really matters—day by day, moment by moment Key Quotes: “I thought I was getting better at the wrong things.” “The greatest productivity hack is to love what you do.” “How valuable were my last 40 minutes?” “Did today matter?” Connect with Chris on Instagram, X (Twitter), and LinkedIn and his website, Listen to his podcast Side Hustle School, and check out his latest book Time Anxiety. In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Tatjana Schnell, a leading researcher in the psychology of meaning, to talk about what it really means to live a meaningful life. We explore how people navigate existential crises, the different ways we construct meaning, and why the experience of belonging is so central to our well-being. This conversation is both intellectually rich and deeply human — a reflection on what keeps us going when things feel uncertain, empty, or directionless.Support the show

Forget skipping lattes—Amber Frankhuizen is here to talk about real financial freedom (and why you should still enjoy your matcha). Michelle and Amber get real about building wealth, dismantling money myths, and why women must step up and own their financial power. Get the tea on overspending traps, pricing your work with confidence, and why making more money isn't just about luxury—it's about impact. Relearn what true wealth means as they dive into media literacy, self-care, and finding the rituals that help you feel your best self. Her LinkedIn bio says she's “the Founder, CEO & Chief Strategist at AFMKTG,” which is true, but it's not the whole truth. (And honestly, it's a little boring.) The reality is, Amber founded her award-winning creative agency, AFMKTG, on an ironing board, figuring out how to build a profitable business out of nothing after jumping from the corporate ladder without a plan or a parachute. Her experience in building her own business, managing nearly a half-billion dollars in real estate assets, and being a mentor and coach for 10+ years has culminated in the birth of the Old Money Podcast. Amber is bold, straight up and direct - she has provocative views on business and a tongue-in-cheek approach that keeps her team and clients on their toes. ------------------------ In today's episode, we cover the following: Inside the Old Money Podcast Breaking generational money cycles Amber's debt recovery plan Spending vs. overspending How to protect your energy Hypnosis, neurofeedback and self-care Inside our morning routines and rituals Intentional media consumption Being smart consumers The power of consistency ----------------------- RESOURCES: Episode 94: Life According to Agency Owner Amber Frankhuizen Tune into Old Money Podcast Follow hypnotist @JuliaBalto on Instagram ----------------------- GUEST INFO: To learn more about Amber and the Old Money Podcast, follow her on Instagram at @AFMKTG, @AmberInCalifornia, and @OldMoneyPodcast and on TikTok @OldMoneyPodcast, and visit her websites at AFMKTG.com and OldMoneyPodcast.com. Matthew 7:15-20. The people we follow matter. The people we allow to pour into our lives and lead us have the ability to shape the way we think and the things we do. Since people we follow have such great influence on our lives, we must be careful that they are leading us in the direction we desire to go.
