Today on Uncommon Sense, we're discussing what may be the most consequential political moment of Donald Trump's career. With Trump's approval ratings slipping, the Iran conflict escalating, renewed questions surrounding the Epstein files, and the assassination of Charlie Kirk continuing to reverberate through the conservative movement, many Americans are asking whether these events are isolated, or part of a much larger story. In this episode, I examine the connections I believe may exist between these developments, including my view that the Epstein files may have been used as leverage against powerful political figures and that foreign interests have exerted significant influence over American policy in the Middle East. We'll discuss:Trump's declining support among his baseThe growing controversy surrounding U.S. involvement with IranThe unanswered questions surrounding the Epstein filesThe political impact of Charlie Kirk's assassination and its aftermathWhy I believe these stories intersect in ways the mainstream media refuses to exploreMy goal is not to tell you what to think, but to encourage you to question narratives, follow incentives, and examine who benefits from the decisions being made in Washington.--https://www.bible.com/

This week on Major Issues, the guys dive into the massive 2026 crossover event Superman / Spider-Man #1. Mark Waid and Jorge Jiménez lead the charge with a story that finally pits the Man of Steel and the Web-Slayer against a Brainiac and Doc Ock alliance. The crew weighs in on whether the chemistry between Clark and Peter lives up to the hype and if Waid's love for comic history makes this a modern classic or just a heavy dose of nostalgia. The episode also breaks down the dense lineup of backup stories and the high-profile teams behind them. They shout out the Lois and MJ spotlight by Tom King and Jim Lee, the chaotic Jimmy Olsen short by Matt Fraction and Steve Lieber, and Christopher Priest's meta-story with Daniel Sampere. With additional contributions from creators like Sean Murphy, Jeff Lemire, Greg Rucka, and Gail Simone, the hosts debate if this oversized special justifies its price tag or if it's just a flashy celebration of the Big Two playing nice again. Today's Post - https://bahnsen.co/40tWZg8 David Bahnsen reviews an eventful mid-March 2026 market backdrop through five themes: the Iran war and its impact on oil and volatility; the state of the economy after tariff changes; private credit; AI; and a rotation in market leadership. He notes large daily market swings driven by uncertainty, but limited net movement, and argues volatility is largely immaterial for disciplined investors. The key economic risk is disruption in the Strait of Hormuz as insurers and shippers avoid the waterway, lifting oil from the low 80s toward the 90s and potentially above 100, which would meaningfully compress consumer and investment activity if sustained. He sees evidence of economic drag (weaker GDP revisions, modest job growth) alongside tariff-driven goods inflation offsetting services disinflation. He criticizes conflating private-credit default fears with liquidity issues and stresses idiosyncratic underwriting, recovery rates, and coming opportunity. He attributes AI weakness to valuation and fatigue while warning against treating the theme as monolithic. He highlights a rotation toward energy, utilities, staples, and industrials. 00:00 Friday Dividend Cafe Intro 01:07 Five Big Market Themes 02:25 Iran War and Volatility 04:19 Oil Shock and Strait Risk 07:45 Economy After Tariffs 10:02 Private Credit Fears 12:40 AI Valuations and Fatigue 14:34 Market Rotation Winners 15:27 Chart of the Week and Wrap Links mentioned in this episode: DividendCafe.com TheBahnsenGroup.com

Latest polling out this week from Rasmussen Reports spells big trouble for the GOP and big trouble for 2026. The latest polls include immigration, would voters do it all again and vote for Trump if the election were held today and if they believe he is mentally and physically fit for office. Rasmussen has had their finger on the pulse on this last election and on all the issues, call it correctly, inside the margin of error. This should serve as a massive wake up call for the GOP!SPONSOR:MY PILLOWWww.MyPillow.com/JohnPromo code 'John" as check out for up to 66% off all products!See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
This week on the Major Issues Podcast, the hosts step into the wasteland to break down Wonder Woman: Dead Earth by Daniel Warren Johnson, one of the most visceral, emotional, and visually jaw-dropping Elseworlds tales DC has published in years. The crew explores how Johnson reimagines Diana as a mythic survivor in a ruined world, forced to confront the haunting truth behind humanity's fall and her own role in it. We dig into the brutal action, the heavy metal energy of Johnson's artwork, the heartbreaking character turns, and the way this story strips Wonder Woman down to her core ideals to see what still shines through. It is a raw, explosive, and deeply human take on the Amazon Princess, and we are unpacking every punch, revelation, and moment of heartbreak that makes Dead Earth an instant classic. In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham, Connor Morrissette (aka "Triple Double") and intern India Otto are back to discuss what they saw from USC in the 34-32 loss at Illinois. It was a disappointing effort from the Men of Troy and they will need to use this bye week to figure out what went wrong and how they can fix it heading into an extremely important home game against Michigan. After rewatching the game, the crew talks about some of the highs that stood out, including incredible performances by Jayden Maiava, Makai Lemon and the tight ends, and the most concerning lows that included poor linebacker play, a lack of pressure from defensive line and poor coverage skills in the secondary. They also give an update from Tuesday's practice, where head coach Lincoln Riley put any rumors of rampant food poisoning that had a major impact on the players to bed, saying that a few guys were affected but it wasn't widespread and it wasn't an excuse for why they played so poorly. They then provide some injury updates including center Kilian O'Connor being out at least two games and running back Bryan Jackson who has no timetable for his return.
