This looks like a move by a very controversial organization, Safehouse, to force the opening of these locations prior to the election of a new Mayor, knowing that Mayor Kenney has been empathetic to the cause in the past. Giordano reminds listeners of the perils of allowing addicts in their neighborhood to legally inject drugs, calling attention to the negative Then, Dom welcomes in South Philadelphia mother Leighann Savloff who went viral just over 3 years ago when she grilled former Mayor and Governor Ed Rendell on his support Safehouse and safe injection sites to hear what she knows about the news. Savloff explains that he anti-safe injection site stance is not rooted in a lack of morality, instead arguing that the opposite is true, that this comes rooted in compassion for her own children and neighbors. Then, Dom plays back a clip from Mitch McConnell, who tries making an argument that the situation in Ukraine is the top priority for Republicans, even over inflation and the border, which Dom scoffs at. Then, Dom welcomes in Councilman David Oh back onto the Dom Giordano Program to discuss the state of the City of Philadelphia after the City once again crested 500 homicides for the second year in a row. First, Dom wishes the Councilman a happy holiday, and asks why he believes no Republicans have declared for Mayor yet, with Oh telling that he's currently exploring a run himself, but explaining that the Democrats are in a bit of a hurry because of a highly contested Primary. Dom and the Councilman run through multiple issues that the City and current administration face, particularly a homelessness crisis that only continues to grow, with Oh suggesting what should be done for improvement in the City. (Photo by Aaron P. The city is offering a $45,000 reward for anyone that can provide information that leads to an arrest and conviction. The motive behind the violent attack is still unclear. During a Wednesday press conference, Fox29's Jeff Cole asked Mayor Jim Kenney about the unchecked violence plaguing Philadelphia. Instead of accepting responsibility or offering potential solutions, Kenney blamed the Pennsylvania legislature. NBC10's Deanna Durante spoke with a Bucks County comic bookstore owner who was viciously assaulted by two men during an armed robbery. Hurricane Ian initially made landfall on an island off the coast of Fort Meyers as a Category 4 hurricane. One Florida sheriff estimated the death toll could be as many as one hundred. The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) has published a study that indicates there may be trace amounts of Moderna and Pfizer mRNA vaccines in breast milk several days after mothers receive COVID-19 vaccination. The journal advocated for women who are breast feeding to be cautious—but stated that they believe there are no real safety concerns. Johns Hopkins University Professor Dr. Marty Makary believes too many important research studies were skipped before giving the vaccine to pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Mayor Kenney doubles down on guns, and scoffs when reporters ask about suggestions made by council members including President Darrell Clarke and Councilwoman Cherelle Parker, who had a phone conversation with the Mayor. Then, Dom welcomes in the aforementioned Councilwoman Cherelle Parker, who tells about the phone call she had with Mayor Jim Kenney following comments he made about no longer wanting to be Mayor, telling that she and other Councilmembers see a real problem here when it comes to safety and policing. Parker tells what she hopes to see change in the City, and explains who she believes is behind the relentless push for radical reformation that has led us down this path. Full Hour | Today, Dom led off the Dom Giordano Program by discussing the reversal of course by Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney and public health officials, as the city rolled back the mask mandate they enacted only 4 days prior. Giordano tells about an interview Mayor Kenney had with the Washington Post, playing back clips, including one in which Mayor Kenney argued that the masking issue is political because Americans have become selfish. Then, Giordano delves into a discussion centered on the gubernatorial primary in Pennsylvania, telling why the race is so important, and explaining a new beef he's uncovered with candidate Doug Mastriano, who Giordano is having trouble supporting. Then, Vince Feldman, board member of Pennsylvania's chapter of Children Health Defense, joins the Dom Giordano Program to discuss the support that his group has seen in a push against masking mandates in Philadelphia. Last week, Philadelphia's Mayor Jim Kenney announced that, due to hospitalizations, Philadelphia would be the first American city to return to a mask mandate. After about 4 days of the mandate being implemented, Mayor Kenney reversed course on the decision, taking away the mandate and instead ‘highly recommending' masks. Giordano asks Feldman why he thinks Kenney reversed course so fast, with Feldman explaining the public backlash to the decision, telling of a societal fatigue he's started to feel over masking. Also, Feldman explains what his organization hopes to do, and tells listeners where they can go to learn more, and tells of a House Bill that offers a constitutional right for medical freedom.
