Five-time NASCAR Mexico Series champion Rubén García Jr. joins Davey Segal (6:00) to reminisce on days gone by and look ahead to the NASCAR Cup Series' inaugural trip to Mexico City. He updates us on what he's been up to since returning to Mexico, if he feels like the Jimmie Johnson of the Mexico Series, how the competition compares to that of stock car racing in the United States, why he feels like the Mexico Series feels like late model racing and the “Winston Cup mindset,” doing more with less, how much Mexican racing fans follow racing in America, differences in race strategy, how well known Daniel Suarez is to Mexicans and more. García Jr. also explains his thought process in coming to the U.S. to participate in the Rev Racing Drive for Diversity program in the 2010s, what the entire experience was like, pulling double duty in the states and Mexico a few times and the relief of finally winning a K&N Pro Series race. He also discusses his upbringing in motorsports, highlights an oval or two in Mexico that may be suitable for the Cup Series, his limited experience racing in the national series and why he'd love an opportunity to return to America to try his hand at NASCAR in the states again. Plus, the deal that came close to being done to put him in a competitive Cup car at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez and what fans and drivers alike can expect when they arrive at the track. Davey also recaps Denny Hamlin's Michigan win, looks ahead to Mexico City and Papa Segal pays homage to a namesake of the circuit this weekend in CDMX.

Stay Tuned for an exciting next series that covers Oswald's trip to Mexico. This is undoubtedly one of the most intriguing aspects of the investigation. Filled with questions and contradictions and downright deception. Let's disect this one together as a logical place to go after the Clinton series. Oswald was in Clinton Louisiana in late August or Early September and somewhere around September 26th...just a few weeks later, he headed south over the border...for about a week...as the story goes...but, folks, you can't write this stuff...there is so much more to this story...and I am excited to begin telling it to you...episodes are coming....very soon...

David Samson spent 18 seasons in Major League Baseball and 16 as President of the Miami Marlins. In 2017, he was the second-longest tenured team President in MLB and was one of only seven current Presidents to have presided over a World Series champion. In 2017, Samson completed the negotiation to sell the Miami Marlins to a group led by Derek Jeter and Bruce Sherman for $1.2B. Samson acted as Chief Negotiator in the process. In 2019, Nothing Personal with David Samson made its debut. Nothing Personal, a simulcast, gives its audience a unique look inside the world of sports, business and entertainment. Our conversation focused on the future of sports after this pandemic. Even though I had many questions that were less timely, like his experience as a President of a Major League Baseball, this theme was implied in every moment of the episode. This conversation is a must listen for everyone interested in how will sports look like after this pandemic. And not only that, David also gives us countless insights in the importance of being a good leader and what it means to really lead. His ability to take one step behind and analyze the potential ripple effects of a decision made by him is something I look up to. Also, David's commitment to the truth is remarkable. He doesn't sell you soundbites to hook you but rather, he keeps you engaged by cutting through the noise, being truthful and offering an in-depth analysis of the sports industry.---Website: CBS Sports PodcastsPodcast: Nothing Personal with David SamsonTwitter: @DavidPSamson---HIGHLIGHTSIntro(6:02) Which sport will have the toughest time adapting to this “new normal”?(8:05) What if sports come back and athletes test positive for COVID-19?(10:00) As an executive, you can’t afford to be sloppy - WOW.(10:23) The possible consequences of bringing sports back in 2020, including lower quality and more injuries.(14:00) How do you know when to start the clock?(14:24) The situation with Football.(15:45) Major League Baseball’s plan to bring back baseball.(16:30) Sports can’t be used to heal right now--the doctors and the scientists need to be used to heal - WOW.(18:25) What’s the difference between an event being halted, postponed and canceled?(19:43) Wait to see - refund policies from each sport.(20:18) Who has got to be protected during this pandemic, the players or the staff? Cardinals vs Brewers - The Return to Milwaukee The Brewers head home from their West Coast trip to meet the Cardinals arriving fresh off of the Mexico Series in Monterrey, Mexico for part two of the NL Central saga. The last time the Cardinals were there, they dropped three games of four to start the 2019 season on a low note. Brenden Schaeffer was there to see it all and, unlike most Cardinals fans, he wasn't as worried, in spite of the undesired results. Today, he's joins me to explain why, and talk about what has happened to the Cardinals since that Opening Weekend! Cardinals vs. Reds - in Mexico! The NL Central battle goes international this weekend as the MLB Mexico Series takes the Cardinals and the Reds to Monterrey for two games. The much-improved, "win now" Reds got off to a surprisingly rough start to the 2019 season, but found the power at the plate in recent games. The Cardinals just completed an impressive 4-game sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers. What can we expect from this year's iteration of the Cards vs Reds story?? Wick Terrell from Red Reporter joins me to discuss... Redan tre no-hitters. I tre olika länder. Take it away.
