Monetary reform advocate and multipotentiate Francis Ayley joins host Brendan Murphy on Truthiverse to discuss the urgent need for monetary reform on a planet sinking under the manufactured debt crisis of the transnational corporations who control the banking system. If you're not already aware, Francis explains in simple terms why today's usurious banking system is so toxic for all of us, and the effects it has on society. What do we do? Francis has a unique model for implementing a grassroots transformation of society: Fourth Corner Exchange has been tested in the real world with tremendous success, helping people extricate themselves from total dependency on ever-inflating fiat currency owned by the New World Order/Banksters, while, at the same time, forging stronger communities and interpersonal relationships. In a world of broken and betrayed trust, this model helps repair the damage done by a psychopathic and predatory usurious banking system which has forced most of humanity to exist in a servile state of survival, competing against each other to survive, instead of collaborating to thrive. This model puts the power of choice and freedom back where it belongs: in the hands of everyday people (not bankers). Listen in to hear how you can start using Fourth Corner Exchange right NOW to being trading and exchanging your value and time with regular folk like yourself, while depriving the sociopathic bankers of their undeserved power. ➡️ JOIN FOURTH CORNER EXCHANGE HERE: brendanmurphy.global/exchange Special Guest: Francis Ayley.
It turns out inflation is not "transitory" after all. It's much worse! But should anyone be surprised, considering the Fed has created more new dollars than at any other time in history? The Fed is yet another example of the "failure of the experts." America was meant to be a land of individual liberty, not a land of ruling "experts." The economic problem can be fixed with sound money and free markets.
In this episode, Brian speaks with Koleya Karringten, a technology entrepreneur and executive director of the Canadian Blockchain Consortium. The Monetary Reform Party were founded in the early 1940's, had Oliver J Flanagan elected as a TD in 1943. There was a split and Flanagan's Laois -Offaly group went their own way before joining Fine Gael. The Remaining Monetary Reform Party had elected reps until the early 1970's.
Chris Mason is a Professor of Genomics, Physiology, and Biophysics at Weill Cornell Medicine, and works with NASA on the impact of space travel on the human genome. Chris is a really big and really interesting thinker and has a book out, The Next 500 Years: Engineering Life to Reach New Worlds, in which he argues that humans have a moral duty to escape not only planet earth, but ultimately the solar system in order to save our species. He also suggests that genetic engineering will be needed in order to give us what he calls "armor on the inside" in order to survive on different planets. It's a good time to dive into these questions, given that we're in a new era in space travel, with helicopters flying around Mars and missions to both the moon and Mars being planned. We discuss the why, when and how of his 500-year plan to save humanity, which starts with establishing settlements on Mars. We also talk about his unusual twin study, examining the genetic impact of astronaut Scott Kelly's year in space by way of comparison to his now earthbound identical twin brother Mark Kelly, who is a former astronaut and now of course a Senator for the State of Arizona. We also debate the ethics of genetic research here on earth right now, and the risks that it will worsen social inequalities. And obviously we talk about the sci-fi TV series The Expanse - what it got right as well as what it got wrong. It's a wide-ranging conversation - I hope you enjoy it. Preston Nelson (Libertarian Party) is running for election to the U.S. House to represent Illinois' 8th Congressional District. He is on the ballot in the general election on November 3, 2020. Preston Nelson is a 30 year old Information Technology professional, amateur linguist, and inventor who hates what he sees happening in his government. Nelson was raised, first as a Christian, and second as a Republican. He has since forsaken the “republican” label, but he clings to his faith, and considers Christian morals as the foundation of his opposition to the Republicrat establishment. As a child, Nelson cheered when George Bush went after those bad guys in Iraq and Afghanistan, but as an adolescent, he saw through Bush’s war lies, considered politics hopeless, and stopped paying attention. As a young man, Nelson stumbled across the Libertarian Party (thanks to Ron Paul.) Learning that, compared to the D and R parties, Libertarians in Illinois required 10-times the number of people to sign their petition, just in order to have their names written on the ballot, and further learning that Republican lawyers filed suit against the Libertarian petitions every year in an attempt to nullify them, or at least waste the Libertarians’ time and money in court, Nelson was outraged, and immediately began working in Public Relations for the Libertarian Party of Illinois. Historically, Libertarian campaigns are a crap shoot, so in 2018, Nelson ran in the Republican Primary against incumbent U.S. Representative Mike Bost. Nelson focused his campaign on 3 issues: Foreign Policy Reform and Bringing Troops Home; Ending Corporate Factory-Farm Subsidies; Monetary Reform to Stop Endless Inflation and Currency Devaluation, and he won 17% of the Republican primary election vote, even while writing “Libertarian” on all of his campaign literature. This year, Nelson is running Libertarian, in a 2-way race with a incumbent Democrat. His issues remain the same: Ending decades-long wars which now only serve to hurt our global standing, while bankrupting the nation to enrich the Military Industrial Complex Letting people keep their own money, instead of taxing it to give to big agribusinesses which produce unhealthy food Boosting the American economy by balancing the budget, and protecting the Dollar from inflation and devaluation. Welcome to episode 38 of Activist #MMT. Today is part two of my conversation with Dan Sullivan, an experienced Monetary Reformer and member of the American Monetary Institute (or AMI), about the core differences between Monetary Reform and Modern Monetary Theory (MMT). Monetary Reform is the idea that private commercial banks have more influence over our economy then does the central government. A full introduction can be found before part one, but for now, let’s get right back to our conversation.
Canadian Dan Parker discusses Our Global Justice Movement, Social Credit, Monetary Reform and how the Just Third Way ties it all together by empowering the individual human person.
Welcome to episode nineteen of Activist #MMT. Today is part two of my conversation with PhD political scientist, author, and MMT-er Joe Firestone. Joe and I talk about the core differences between Modern Monetary Theory and Monetary Reform. Monetary Reform is a movement represented and promoted by organizations such as Positive Money in the U.K. and the American Monetary Institute (AMI) in the United States. This is also the second in a larger four part series on these differences. Parts three and four are with prominent Monetary Reform advocate Dan Sullivan. A full introduction to this episode can be found before part one. #LearnMMT For an overview of Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) with many reliable sources to learn more, here is a good place to start: On the web: My layperson intro with many expert sources listed at the bottom. Welcome to episode eighteen of Activist #MMT. Today I talk with PhD political scientist, author, and MMT-er Joe Firestone. In this two-part conversation, Joe and I talk about the core differences between Modern Monetary Theory and Monetary Reform. Monetary Reform is a movement represented and promoted by organizations such as Positive Money in the U.K. and the American Monetary Institute (AMI) in the United States. MMT and Monetary Reform disagree strongly on both how to define the problem and its solution. Monetary Reformers believe that because of the outsized influence that private banks hold over our governments, our monetary system is irredeemably flawed and must be completely overhauled. AMI's recommended version of Monetary Reform is the NEED Act, a 2011 bill introduced by former Ohio representative Dennis Kucinich. The bill had no co-sponsors and was not introduced on the floor of the House for a vote. In 2010, the United States Green Party adopted Monetary Reform into its bylaws, making it as important a priority as policies such as single payer healthcare and a Green New Deal. A proposal for the Green Party to instead recognize MMT was sponsored by the Nebraska Green Party and written by Nebraska Green Party member Shane Fry, along with Firestone and economist Fadhel Kaboub. The proposal was unfortunately soundly defeated in December 2018. Here are Firestone's thoughts on the subject. Today's episode is actually the first in a larger four part series comparing MMT with Monetary Reform. Parts three and four are with prominent Monetary Reform advocate Dan Sullivan. This episode was recorded in January 2019 and was part of a month of research, the goal of which was to write an article explaining the core differences. I actually finished the article at that time but it was never released. It is now published to accompany this first episode with Joe. Finally, it is clearly not possible for both MMT and Monetary Reform to be correct. I believe and trust the work of the MMT economists when they say that MMT is right and Monetary Reform is wrong. Doing this research and writing this article is my effort to better understand and define the problem, so someday I can make the decision for myself. My conversations with Joe were recorded as episodes of his own Facebook video program "In Depth with Joe Firestone." Monetary Reform with monetary experts Dick Distlehorst and Robert Poteat, both are senior advisors to the American Monetary Institute which just held its 6th Annual AMI Monetary Reform Conference in Chicago.Dick Distlehorst, is in his 90th year, his wife passed away six years ago. He was with the First Marine Division on Guadalcanal in the South Pacific during World War II. He first learned about our problematic, to say the least, monetary system in 1958 and has studied it and fought against it since that time. He has held meetings locally for over 10 years, and he spoke to the conference via video and gave a very powerful, inspiring speech and made suggestions to all of us on how to pressure Congress and educate our friends about money.Robert Poteat has been studying and working on monetary reform since 1981. His education was electrical engineering. He worked in radio and television broadcasting, manufacturing, and elevator construction. Since his retirement, he has been active with Veterans for Peace as past president and media producer for VfP Chapter 109 in Olympia, WA. Representative Dennis Kucinich also spoke via video and said that he would be introducing a Monetary Reform bill in Congress in November. My report, entitled Money of, by, for the Corporations or Money of, by, for the People? and my presentation- Strategy for the Monetary Reform Movement, Stephen Zarlenga's opening remarks, and videos of the presentations of Professor Michael Hudson, Professor Yamaguchi, and Professor Steve Keen are posted online, along with a report by Keen at his www.debtdeflation.com website.DownloadNote: The AMI‘s Dick Distelhorst wrote a lengthy rebuttal in the comment section of the von Mises blog article: The Dangers of Monetary Reform. "Monetary Reform" with Stephen Zarlenga, founder of The American Monetary Institute, author of The Lost Science of Money - The Mythology of Money - the Story of Power. Stephen Zarlenga has over three decades of practical experience in the world of finance and spent over twelve years doing the historical research to write his book. The final chapter is the solution he offers based upon his knowledge and understanding of money, and the failures of past attempts at monetary reform. His idea has been written into legislative language which should someday come before Congress. He believes that daunting though the struggle may appear, we must not give up because our future depends on changing our deeply flawed monetary system. They have organized excellent conferences, where experts, and researchers have pooled their knowledge and expanded awareness on the need for reform. He condemns most economists for obscuring the basic facts about money, how it is created, its structural flaws, which transfer wealth from the many to the few. He believes that governments not banks should create money, that the Federal Reserve should be nationalized, that private banks should not be allowed to create money out of thin air, siphoning wealth from others, and that governments have the right to create money and should spend it into existence on infrastructure projects that benefit people. The Green Party's National Committee working on monetary and economic policy matters have approved an historic, comprehensive Monetary Reform Plank in their 2010 Platform which includes all three of the necessary elements to achieve real reform that the American Monetary Institute has pushed for in its proposed American Monetary Act. The 6th Annual AMI Monetary Reform Conference will be held Sept. 30 - Oct. 3rd in Chicago. Speakers include- Prof. Michael Hudson, author, Super Imperialism and Global Fracture; editor, Debt and Economic Renewal in the Ancient Near East; distinguished Professor of Economics, University of Missouri, Kansas City, and Chief Economic Advisor to the 2008 Kucinich for President campaign. Dr. Hudson was the first to publicly identify the mechanism of "Dollar Imperialism" through the U.S. balance of payments deficits. His talk will focus on the coming momentous monetary developments in the Icelandic and Latvian crises, and their implication for future crises resolutions. Top Australian monetary economist Steve Keen who just won the inaugural (Paul) Revere Award for giving an early warning (2005) of the present debt-deflation collapse. Dr. Michael Clark, of the United Nations, is the man who earlier this year sparked the recent issue of 240 billion new SDRs by the International Monetary Fund, though they had only issued 21 billion of them since inception in January 1970. Dr. Edward Chambers, President of the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF) will discuss- Organizing for Power, Action and Justice. Richard C. (Rick) Cook, a former federal government analyst who worked with Stephen Zarlenga on drafting the American Monetary Act while still with the U.S. Treasury. Rick was an adviser to Dennis Kucinich during the 2004 and 2008 Presidential campaigns will speak on democratizing the monetary system. Ben Dyson is a British monetary reformer, specializing in the necessary accounting techniques to achieve monetary reform by allowing banks to make loans without creating money and will address Monetary reform in Great Britain. William Bergman, economist and formerly an official at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, until he became a whistleblower on Fed practices. He will focus on the present condition of banking after the massive bailouts. Who won? At whose expense? Why won't the banks lend? What must be done now to get money into circulation? Carol Brouillet will speak on Strategy for the Monetary Reform Movement (Analyzing it though the Doing Democracy - MAP Model of Social Movements, as she did for the Truth Movement in Chicago in 2006).DownloadStephen Zarlenga's website is http://www.monetary.org/Source: Progressive Radio NetworkAired: 9/16/10 12:00 AMThis podcast is an aggregate of audio files freely available online. Richard Cook is a former federal government analyst who was one of the key figures in the investigation of the space shuttle Challenger disaster. In 1985, he went to work for NASA as the lead resource analyst for the space shuttle solid rocket boosters, external tank, and Centaur upper stage. Cook’s first assignment led to his writing a memo on engineers’ concerns that flaws with the solid rocket booster O-ring seals could cause the shuttle to blow up. In 1986, after the Challenger disaster, he disrupted a NASA cover-up when he provided his memo, along with other documents on the hazards of the O-rings, to the New York Times. His disclosures paved the way for revelations by engineers from Morton Thiokol, Inc., about how they opposed the launch of Challenger the night before lift-off. Called to testify before the Presidential Commission at an internationally televised public hearing, Cook stood his ground when his experience and competence were challenged. He continued to contribute to the investigation during interviews with Commission staff and the NASA Office of Inspector General and in meetings with Senator Ernest Hollings, who was trying to raise issues before the Senate on whether there had been White House pressure to launch Challenger. In addition to extensive interviews with the media after the disaster, Cook published articles in the Washington Post, Washington Monthly, Space and Security News, and the Houston Post; gave a press conference with the Institute of Space and Security Studies, where he said that the Presidential Commission had been created to cover-up the role of the White House in the launch decision; and wrote a report which he submitted to the U.S. Justice Department with a request for a new investigation. In 1991, he was the recipient of the Cavallo Foundation Award for Moral Courage in Business and Government, sharing the award with Roger Boisjoly of Morton Thiokol. Before joining NASA, Cook worked as an analyst for the U.S. Civil Service Commission, where he received extensive training in federal government operations. He then worked for the Food and Drug Administration and next served in the Jimmy Carter White House under Esther Peterson, special assistant to the president for consumer affairs. He also taught history at the Field School, a private high school in Washington, D.C. Cook left NASA to become an analyst with the U.S. Treasury Department in 1986. There he developed and taught training courses on policy analysis and led project teams on financial policy and organizational restructuring. He authored Challenger Revealed- An Insider’s Account of How the Reagan Administration Caused the Greatest Tragedy of the Space Age in 2006. He retired from the federal government in January 2007 and works today as a writer, lecturer, and consultant. His website is richardccook.com. Cook graduated with honors from the College of William and Mary, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He resides in College Park, Maryland. One of his areas of interest has been the monetary system and he has written a series of articles about the current financial crisis including- Extraordinary Times, Intentional Collapse, and Takedown of the U.S.A., Has the Battle for America Begun?, and An Emergency Program of Monetary Reform for the United States. He spoke recently on Will We See the End of the Empire in Our Time? at the Building a New World Conference". His forthcoming book is entitled We Hold These Truths: The Hope of Monetary Reform and he can be contacted regarding the book at economicsanity@gmail.com. Richard spoke about the current crisis we're in, particularly what is not reported in the press or widely understood by the public about money creation, debt, and credit and the financial shenanigans that are impoverishing the country. He also oferred his ideas for monetary reform, including the abolition of the Federal Reserve, national control over the creation of credit and a citizen's dividend. DownloadRichard C. Part 2: Congressman Dennis Kucinich has posted the following on his web site: “The U.S. monetary reform is urgently needed: It is long past time we look at the implications of . . . the privatization of money created by the 1913 Federal Reserve Act, the bank fractional reserve system and our debt-based economic system. Unless we have dramatic reform of monetary policy, the entire economic system will continue to accelerate wealth upwards. I am currently working on drafting legislation for an ‘American Monetary Act’ to address these and other issues in order to protect the economic well being of America.” Observers believe that this single measure has the potential of bringing together tens of millions of people who have realized that our bank-run debt-based monetary system lies at the center of the financial crisis. The question is of course - how are these tens of millions going to find out that there is such legislation being developed?Kucinich is working closely with Stephen Zarlenga, director of the American Monetary Institute and author of: The Lost Science of Money.
