Much to the chagrin of Matthew, who had to edit it, the four-person draft is back! This time, Samuel, Matthew, Ashley Day and Dave Scarborough are fighting over the best games on Xbox 360 (note: some of them may not be the best, but that's for you to decide). This week's music is from the Fable 2 soundtrack by Danny Elfman and Russell Shaw, plus the the Bayonetta soundtrack by Helena Noguerra, Bart Howard, as well as Norihiko Hibino, Takahiro Izutani, Masami Ueda, Hiroshi Yamaguchi, Rei Kondoh, Takayasu Sodeoka, Erina Niwa, Yoshitaka Suzuki and Naoto Tanaka. As Dylan argues on this ep, life on Earth is owed to the sun. So why has it taken us so long to make decent cars that use the sun? Sure, this is terrible logic that doesn't follow at all. But also I feel like I should own a solar car by now. Well, let's look at some really impractical ones- solar RACE cars. They're pretty cool, even if they look like cuts of salmon. You can find a video version of this podcast for free on Scanline Media's Patreon! If you want to find us on Twitter, Dylan is @lowpolyrobot and Six is @sixdettmar. Our opening theme is the Hangar Theme from Gundam Breaker 3, and our ending theme for this episode is Our Sun from Boktai: The Sun is in Your Hand. Boktai is composed by Kazuki Muraoka, Masashi Watanabe, Norihiko Hibino, and Shuichi Kobori collectively- I can't find credits for individual tracks. Continuing along my journey of playing Konami and Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid series, next up is Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. This is the one that is most often held up as the greatest in the series, and I can absolutely see why. It's not without flaws- it's still clunky to play and continues the trend of no Metal Gear Solid game having normal pacing, but I greatly enjoyed my experience with it. We also discussed some things we would like to see in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Delta remake. ADVERTENCIA. Music touches all aspects of the soul. It's a large part of what makes us human. In tough times or happy moments and everything in between, music can be therapy in many ways and video game music is no different. As the holiday season ramps up, we here at Scanline are prepared for a yearly ritual: playing all the games that we feel like we should have an opinion on before we record the Gimmick Awards, our yearly Game of the Year (and more than game) awards. That makes this the last stop of us just chatting normal games before we dizzy ourselves with our obligations as critics. To that end, Jen has been mourning the loss of a rival in F1 2023, Six has been modding Metal Gears on Steam Deck, and Kyrie wanted to see what's so remade about the Super Mario RPG Remake. Plus, we've all got thoughts on the 25th Anniversary Update for Half-Life. In chronological order, our music is 8bit23 by Koichi Morita, The 23 Enigma by Ian & Ethan Livingstone featuring Julie Seechuk from F1 23, the Steam Deck startup sound, Nuclear by Mike Oldfield from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Calling to the Night by Natasha Farrow with lyrics by Nobuko Toda, composed by Akihiro Honda, and arranged by Norihiko Hibino from Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, In The Garden by Yoko Shimamura from Super Mario RPG Remake, Hazardous Environments by Kelly Bailey from Half-Life, and then a reprise of 8bit23 by Koichi Morita. You can find us on Cohost and Twitter at @jen-and-aster and @jbu3 for Jen respectively, @KyriePage and @KyrieAPage for Kyrie respectively, and @sixdettmar for Six on both.

Do herních soundtracků zároveň svou lásku k jazzu dokáže dostat alespoň přes svůj milovaný saxofon.

Músicas: Russian Soldiers From Kasatka, Opening Infilltration B, Big Shell, Opening Infilltration A, Starboard, Navigational Deck e Main Theme por Norihiko Hibino e Harry Gregson-Williams. LeGrande and Jeremy stumble out of their turkey-induced stupor and conscientious objections to bring you the important things in life: video game news! Beginnings and ends of eras with Kingdom Hearts, Rockstar's Agent, and Steam Link, funding numbers and sales numbers, strife in the house of ActiBlizzard, a fairly solid PS5 rumor, and a celebrity has been tweeting about the hardcore game she's been playing! We lay out the new releases, and have a good discussion about our preferences in platform emulation! Intro: "Magnificent 7 (Climax Mix)" - Bayonetta, by Norihiko Hibino, Takahiro Izutani, Masami Ueda, Hiroshi Yamaguchi, Rei Kondoh, Takayasu Sodeoka, Erina Niwa, Yoshitaka Suzuki, Naoto Tanaka Outro: "Alpine Ridge" - Spyro Trilogy Reignited, by Stewart Copeland; remixed by Stephan Vankov Check out our Discord community at https://discord.gg/ZTzKH8y

In this third entry into the Metal Gear podcasts, Cameron and Jackson drill into the big questions: who does Snake kiss? Is it possible to make an anti-war War Game? And is Metal Gear even that ridiculous at all? This is a fantastic episode and I hope you can take the time to give it a listen! Big, big thanks to Cameron for stopping by, you can find their writing at This Cage Is Worms, Paste and Twitter, their games here or on Steam, and a variety of Youtube fun stuff, well, on Youtube. You can get our podcast on iTunes, on Stitcher, or you can download it directly by clicking here.Things discussed: Metals Gear 1-5, Shigeru Miyamoto, Final Fantasy VII, Leigh Alexander on MGSVMusic This EpisodeSnake Eater by Norihiko Hibino & Cynthia HarrellFanfare (FFVII) by Nobuo UematsuWay To Fall by Starsailor
Week in Geek: Andrew finally plays a WiiU with the Nintendo title, Super Mario 3D World, while Dan discusses his time at this year's Crocker-Con at the Crocker Art Museum. Group Gaming: Before the internet connected people worldwide, the solitary world of video gaming was often perforated by moments of playing a single game with a group of people. Dan and Andrew discuss this nostalgic (and still present) method of playing games with people in the room rather than online. Game & Watch: With the rise of televised (or streamed) eSports and the success of things like Twitch Plays or Let's Plays, gaming is more connected than ever. However, with the addition of a passive gaming experience does bring up interesting questions and ideas to what gaming is and how it's changing. Doctor Who Series 9 Prologue: If you haven't seen it, watch it here. Once that's done, listen to Andrew and Dan talk about Doctor Who if only to prepare for a full episode about Doctor Who next week. Question of the Geek: To celebrate the return of Doctor Who, what are your thoughts about the show, what questions do you have about the show, and (if necessary) why don't you like the show? Looking outward, what is other British Sci-Fi that you feel deserves more attention? Leave your answer as a comment at forall.libsyn.com. Be sure to join the official Facebook and Google+ pages, as well. You may e-mail us any questions, comments, or concerns at forallpod [at] gmail [dot] com.
