Vapaa Collective. Studiossa kolme arkkitehtia, Iines Karkulahti, Meri Wiikinkoski ja Charlotte Nyholm, jotka muodostavat luovan Vapaa Collectiven. Viisi vuotta sitten Karkulahti, Wiikinkoski ja Nyholm huomasivat arkkitehtuurin jokaiseen mittakaavaan vaikuttavan ilmastokriisin vaativan tekoja, mutta aiheen ajankohtaisuudesta huolimatta arkkitehtuurin aiheet loistivat ilmastokeskustelussa poissaolollaan. Tähän haasteeseen vastaamaan muodostettiin Vapaa Collective, joka julkaisee tänä vuonna Acts of Care -teossarjan Helsingissä, Lontoossa […]

Todd, a Somatic Therapist and author, has personally and professionally validated the undeniable relationship between mind and body. He came into this work as a result of his own personal experiences of both being sick as a child (diagnosed with several issues years later, including Lyme disease) and dealing with childhood trauma tied to emotional and safety concerns. Today, his Nytality Method offers people the solutions they need to live healthier and happier lives through meditations, contemplations, self-care techniques, and yoga-like exercises. It also incorporates modalities for dealing with trauma, mental exercises, a series of systems for working more consciously with your emotions, a system for recalling the parts of you that have gotten lost in your shadow side, and integrating those pieces with the whole of you.
See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Many of us have heard about the mind body connection and even have examples from our life to prove it. I've got a recurring rash that shows up in times of my biggest stresses and when I'm feeling anxious, my heart races and my fingers shake, and I get queasy. And there are positive affects as well. When I practice yoga, my mind comes to stillness and calm which isn't easy for those of us with an overactive mind. I have no doubt of the body-mind connection, the proof is in the pudding. My guest this episode is somatic therapist and author Todd Nils Nyholm. Through both personal and professional experience, he's discovered the undeniable relationship between mind and body. When stress, poor mental mindset, and negative external experiences convene, Todd maintains that the needs of the body are often the first thing we ignore, closely followed by forgetting to preserve our inner world. His new book, Ah, Brain, Why Do You Trouble Me So Much? speaks to:Rechanneling your mindset from self-imposed boundariesBreaking the chains from external expectationsMaking courageous decisions that prioritize your mind, body, and loved ones over work and other stressorsReorienting your inner compass.More about Todd Nils NyholmTodd Nils Nyholm is a Somatic Therapist working through the body with a number of modalities to help people reconnect with themselves and move towards more health and feeling better. Sam gives us our first look at Alyssa Cole's work in The AI who loved me for the opportunity to nerd out about sextech and the implications of getting down and dirty with AI. That's right, we're talking about robots, while, thanks to zoom, sounding like robots. Meta. As it turns out humans love anthropomorphising their Roombas and Alexa has had more lovers proposing marriage than a Mills and Boon heroine. With the sex robot industry being skewed towards men we ask the important questions; would you bang a bot? And if you're going to have sex with a robot, why settle for human features? And perhaps most importantly, is Abby the only person who found the Bicentennial man a 10/10 hottie?Content Warning: this episode includes some references to rape.
