The $290 million Kelp DAO hack, attributed to North Korea's Lazarus Group, has DeFi TVL down $13 billion in 48 hours. Do DeFi's foundational assumptions need to change? --- Heads up! Meanwhile, a new class of yield-bearing instrument is staking a claim on capital fleeing private credit: Apyx's APY USD, backed by Strategy's STRC preferred stock, launched on Kraken this week with a 12% yield target and $180 million in supply after just seven weeks. Is STRC-backed yield a legitimate financial primitive, or a Bitcoin derivative with extra steps? Crypto infrastructure and institutional capital are converging around a specific layer of the market — and most investors don't know they're positioned outside it. This episode breaks down why only 5% of crypto is in or near value capture, what that layer actually looks like, and how to tell where your exposure stands. This isn't about price. It's about structure — and the structure is forming now. Want to go deeper into the ideas behind this show?Start here:

Caleb Euler was nominated as a Beck's Player with Heart for his dedication and commitment both on and off the field. In school, Caleb participates in track and field and cross country, where he enjoys competing and feeling a sense of accomplishment after putting in hard work. His peers see him as a leader who pushes his teammates to become the best versions of themselves. Through 4-H, Caleb has made a positive impact on his community by serving as a camp counselor, helping with upkeep at his local fairgrounds, and completing yard work for others. He has also been actively involved in FFA fundraisers. Agriculture plays a significant role in Caleb's life. It has taught him the value of hard work, grit, and determination, and he recognizes the impact agriculture has on the world. Caleb plans to attend Trine University to major in business management while continuing to farm with his family.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Welcome to Printing Money Episode 35 and let us be the last to wish you a happy new year. For this episode Danny is joined by Arno Held (Managing Partner, AM Ventures) and Alex Kingsbury (Market Development Manager, nLIGHT), both certified Printing Money OG's. Coming off back-to-back “Troy Jensen” episodes focused on public company earnings reports, there was a lot of 3DP/AM transaction news to cover, so we covered a lot. Even still, we can't cover all the 3D printing business news. Themes from Episode 35 include AI for 3DP/AM (and vice versa) and Australia, Smart M&A, all underlaid by a healthy dose of optimism. The episode opens with a look at 2025 through each of our host's respective lens. Then, it's a discussion of notable 3DP/AM financings in recent months. Last, Danny, Arno and Alex analyze recent M&A activity. After the manic highs and depressive lows of the 2020-2025 3DP/AM business cycle, is the industry signaling a new normal? Danny, Alex and Arno will all continue the discussion in person at AMS 2026 next month in New York City. Meanwhile, please enjoy Episode 35 and check out our previous episodes too. Stablecoin yields are returns generated by depositing stablecoins into third-party platforms or protocols, not from the stablecoins themselves. These yields, which typically range from 2% to over 15% APY, are derived from various mechanisms like lending, liquidity pools, or real-world asset (RWA) backing. ~This episode is sponsored by BTCC & Tangem~BTCC 10% Deposit Bonus! ➜ https://bit.ly/PBNBTCCTangem 20% OFF + $10 BTC ➜ https://bit.ly/TangemPBNUse Code: "PBN" for Additional Discounts!00:00 Intro00:08 Sponsor: BTCC00:39 The Year of Stablecoins01:08 Bank Yields Suck01:38 Be Your Own Bank01:56 Bluechip Stablecoins02:32 Free Portfolio Tracker02:50 Sponsor: Tangem Yields with Aave03:26 PYUSD on Aave03:50 RULSD on Aave04:08 RLUSD on Euler & Doppler Finance04:39 USDG on Solana05:04 PYUSD on Kamino05:29 USDC on Sui & Kai Finance Vault05:59 Slush Wallet Vault Monitoring06:28 USDF on Flow & More Markets06:58 USDF on KittyPunch07:50 Avant on Avalanche08:11 Yield Yak Intelligent USD08:33 Farm $SONEX on Soneium09:04 Farm $KAT on Katana09:55 Virtuals & A.I. Welcome to The Chopping Block — where crypto insiders Haseeb Qureshi, Tom Schmidt, Tarun Chitra, and Robert Leshner chop it up about the latest in crypto. This week, the crew breaks down DeFi's Black Friday: a brutal week that saw the $120 million Balancer v2 hack, the collapse of Stream Finance, and a market-wide panic that reminded everyone — nothing in crypto is risk-free. They dive into how one of DeFi's oldest, most audited contracts failed, why smaller chains froze or rolled back transactions, and what it means for decentralization as Berachain, Sonic, and Polygon took emergency action. The panel debates whether the Balancer attacker used an AI “vibe-coded” exploit, how Ethereum might one day face its own rollback dilemma, and why privacy chains like Zcash may be the last true cypherpunk strongholds. In the second half, they unpack the off-chain losses behind Stream Finance's XUSD blow-up, the contagion risk across Euler, Silo, and Morpho, and the hard lessons for “yield-chasing” DeFi vaults. The gang closes with advice for founders weathering the storm — from Tarun's “cockroach mindset” to Haseeb's reminder that crypto's long-term fundamentals haven't changed. Whether you're building in DeFi, securing smart contracts, or surviving the next credit unwind, this episode lays bare the harsh truths — and enduring resilience — of crypto's frontier markets. Send us a textI began with CPI, but as usual, I ended up somewhere between Beethoven and gold. The headline CPI 3%, core the same. The whisper was higher. The market calls it “Goldilocks.” Not too hot, not too cold. I call it “Never be a dick for a tick.”That's how you survive this racket. Everyone obsesses over decimals while the system quietly breaks and remakes itself. The models are wrong, the Fed's neutral rate misplaced, and shelter data a bad joke.Markets have music. Sometimes off key, sometimes perfect pitch. Beethoven wrote his best symphonies when he couldn't hear. Euler saw math more clearly after he went blind. My best trades happen when I stop staring and listen. Markets are sound before they're numbers. Then someone messages me: “Copper, all the way.” I laugh. NVIDIA doesn't need a century of copper. The chips use little. The heavy copper is in data centers, transformers, cables feeding the AI gods. One megawatt of data power needs twenty-seven tons. There's a story there, but not the one the hype merchants sell.Copper is pregnant in expectation. It mirrors the world's mood and that mood is uncertainty. The charts show past booms and fatigue. The next leg will come from real demand, from grids and wires that make the world hum.Gold refuses to fade. I mocked it before, but I'm giving it credit. Maybe this rise is necessary, the price to end mercantilist misery. China's citizens buy stablecoins and gold to escape the red cabbage trap. They know seven cabbage for a dollar is a steal.America sits on 262 million troy ounces. At ten thousand an ounce, that's 2.5 trillion in fiscal firepower. While everyone says “Rome is falling,” they're wrong. This isn't the fall of America; it's the fall of Chinese communism.Russia produces forty percent of global palladium, quiet leverage no one mentions. Even Trump treads carefully. Geopolitics meets gigawatts. Metals and power are the same story.I've talked CPI, Beethoven, copper, gold, palladium, geopolitics. A full orchestra. I never promised coherence, only curiosity. The market, like life, is a fuzzy cloud. You don't predict it. You play with it.Support the show⬇️ Subscribe on Patreon or Substack for full episodes ⬇️https://www.patreon.com/HughHendryhttps://hughhendry.substack.comhttps://www.instagram.com/hughhendryofficialhttps://blancbleustbarts.comhttps://www.instagram.com/blancbleuofficial⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Leave a five star review and comment on Apple Podcasts!

In this episode, Momo sits down with his friend and long-time flatmate, Sohail, a mathematician, for a relaxed conversation about RSA cryptography—how it works and why it was revolutionary. Sohail breaks down the math behind RSA with clear, accessible examples and shares bonus fun facts about mathematics, broken predictions, and the future of math in an open-source world.---Hardy writes: "The 'real' mathematics of the 'real' mathematicians, the mathematics of Fermat and Euler and Gauss and Abel and Riemann, is almost wholly 'useless'."A similar quote is attributed to Gauss, Sohail's beloved mathematician. He jokingly said "I must have committed blasphemy by attributing it to someone else." Here's the exact quote:"Mathematics is the queen of the sciences, and number theory is the queen of mathematics. My interview with Michael Bentley, CEO of Euler Labs. - DeFi adoption surged from zero to $3 billion on Euler in just nine months - Institutional players such as BlackRock and Apollo are tokenising money market funds on-chain - Stablecoin growth is driving new lending and borrowing markets in DeFi - Traditional fintechs are starting to use DeFi rails as back-end infrastructure - Retail adoption still faces UX and UI hurdles, but fintech integrations may bridge the gap - Michael predicts explosive growth if even a fraction of traditional finance moves on-chain - Despite risks like hacks and smart contract bugs, DeFi offers transparency and antifragility compared to traditional finance Powered by Phoenix Group The full interview is also available on my YouTube channel: YouTube: http://bit.ly/42iIc9r
How can nonprofits tell powerful, compelling stories without compromising the dignity of the people they serve? In this episode of Nonprofit Nation, I welcome Carly Euler, Marketing Director at MemoryFox and creator of the Ethical Storytelling Report. With a rich background in fundraising, marketing, and communications across organizations like the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester and the BOMA Project, Carly has seen firsthand how storytelling can both uplift and unintentionally harm.We dive into Carly's recent article, “I Wish Someone Would Have Told Me: Stories Can Be Ethical & Still Raise Funds,” and unpack the fundraising industry's overreliance on trauma-driven narratives. Carly shares a powerful personal moment that reshaped how she approaches storytelling, and offers tangible strategies for nonprofit professionals who want to center consent, agency, and dignity while still driving results.

Euler is a DeFi lending protocol built around the idea of permissionless modularity, enabling users to lend and borrow almost any crypto asset with flexible, permissionless pools, tailored to individual risk profiles. Moreover, Euler Vault Kit (EVK) and Ethereum Vault Connector (EVC) enable the creation of custom lending vaults which, in turn, can be used as collateral for other vaults. Earlier this year Euler also announced EulerSwap, a new DEX with a built-in AMM powered by Euler's lending infrastructure and integrated with Uniswap v4's hook architecture. EulerSwap integrates directly with Euler's lending vaults, allowing assets to be used across multiple pools. This turns the lending protocol into a shared liquidity layer, improving capital efficiency across the ecosystem via swaps, lending yield or collateral for borrowing other assets.Topics covered in this episode:Michael's backgroundThe history & vision behind EulerThe Euler hackEuler V2Euler vs. other lending protocolsDiversifying offeringsVariable vs. fixed ratesHow Pendle worksEuler's futureRWAsPrivacy in DeFiEuler roadmapThe impact of AI in DeFiEpisode links:Michael Bentley on XEuler on XSponsors:Gnosis: Gnosis builds decentralized infrastructure for the Ethereum ecosystem, since 2015. Welcome to Episode 28 of Printing Money. For this one Danny is joined by our own, Joris Peels (Executive Editor, 3DPrint.com). This crossover-pod is indeed quite meta-level but it's not entirely new – some months ago Danny appeared on Joris' own podcast, the 3DPOD. We encourage you to listen to that episode as well. Episode 28 begins with an introduction to Joris, and a look at his nearly two decades in 3D printing. From Philips to Shapeways, to Materialise and Formlabs, and consulting across the industry, Joris has some reach, to say the least. Next, Danny and Joris review RAPID, the largest 3DP/AM event in the USA, which took place earlier this month in Detroit. The cautiously optimistic tone that has been 2025 was decidedly in force at RAPID, and oh by-the-way there was a noticeable presence from the Chinese brands, tariffs or not. From RAPID the conversation shifts to geopolitics, the regulatory environment, and yes, tariffs. Amongst the analysis are some great quotables to look for, including “Manufacturing itself is a weapons system,” and “Uncertainty is the new normal,” all amidst a whole lot of 3DP/AM industry food for thought. And all that is only the first half. In the second half of the episode, Danny and Joris dive into Printing Money's raison d'etre - deals and analysis! Specifically, this episode focuses on recent M&A, including coverage of the Nano Dimension-Desktop Metal-Markforged tie-up, BICO's new direction under Maria Forss, Fictiv's eye-catching acquisition by Misumi, and the trend of traditional Japanese manufacturers embracing 3DP/AM.
