On Part 1 of today's episode, Cheryl interviews Michael Lied, Principal & Director of Healthcare at GBBN. Cheryl and Michael had an honest and meaningful conversation about the challenges in healthcare today and what designers and architects in the industry can do to innovate. Cheryl asks Michael the question, “It's been a long year and a half since COVID first came on the scene in this country. What have been some of the most profound changes in GBBN's work of designing healthcare facilities that you have seen?” Michael shares, “One of the biggest changes has been the impact to our healthcare workforce and our care providers. Seeing that 25% of our care providers, in a recent survey, are considering leaving the profession is really tough.” This, and so much more on the changing face of healthcare design and architecture post COVID with Michael Lied, Principal & Director of Healthcare at GBBN, on today's episode. Learn more about Michael Lied and GBBN by visiting https://www.gbbn.com/. In Cheryl's conversation with Michael Lied, they discuss: It's been a long year and a half since COVID first came on the scene in this country. What have been some of the most profound changes at GBBN that Michael has seen? Why are 25% of our care providers considering leaving the profession and what can the healthcare design community do about it? What is one of the silver linings of the pandemic? Why has healthcare been way behind at innovating from its own industry and how can this change? Why is this an exciting time in healthcare? How can the healthcare design community help manage burnout among caregivers? Is there a new product typology in healthcare? How can architecture respond to patients and their family's arrival to the hospital and their navigation throughout the building to help reduce stress and anxiety? Learn more about GBBN's project, Novak Center, a pediatric center in Louisville, Kentucky that brings together the entrypoint and exit, and celebrates children. What does Michael mean when he says “It is time to stop copying other industries and it is time to start pulling our resources together and understanding the uniqueness of healthcare and how environments should operate?” Why is a waiting room always the same across the country and not purpose built? Why is it not designed for the demographic of the area? And, what barriers is this creating? How can stairs be built so more people will choose them over an elevator? How did Michael get into healthcare? What will hospitals look like in 30 years? The world is changing quickly. The Center for Health Design is committed to providing the healthcare design and senior living design industries with the latest research, best practices and innovations. The Center can help you solve today's biggest healthcare challenges and make a difference in care, safety, medical outcomes, and the bottom line. Find out more at healthdesign.org. MWH 288: “Instagram is no longer a photo-sharing app” What This Really Means For Business Owners And Influencers This week's episode is going to touch on a very trending topic, which is that latest announcement by Instagram: “Instagram is no longer a photo-sharing app.”I'm going to share my take on what this really means and how this announcement affects you as a business owner, whether you are a soloprenuer or a company. LISTEN NOW Instagram did not say that they're getting rid of in-feed posts or the ability to share photos in the app. But what did they come out and say is that they're putting more focus on videos.I've shared this to my community here in Mums With Hustle and with the members of my Social Method Society... and what I want to highlight in this episode is that Instagram has been moving in this direction for years.Out of the five ways to share content on Instagram ecosystem, four of them are video-based: In-feed posts (photos)Instagram Stories (video)Instagram Live (video)IGTV (video)Instagram Reels (video) Aside from highlighting video contents, Instagram also shared key areas they will be focusing on going forward. These include Creators, Instagram Shop and Messaging. So you can expect more features will be rolled out on Instagram. And if you are someone who feels like brushing up your Instagram skills, or video confidence, or you want to stay current on what's working on Instagram for your beautiful business...Then I highly encourage you to jump-on the waitlist to my Social Method Society and get yourself an invitation to join us! Head on over socialmethodsociety.com and pop your name down.On Part 2 of this 2-episode Series, I'll walk you through hashtag news which is another announcement by Instagram that has caused some confusion.“How many hashtag should I use now?” You'll find out in the next episode.Until next week, stay happy in your hustle. Here on Part 1 of the Great Mike Maccagnan Deep Dive, we break down his roster moves from 2015-2017. If you love crapping on Mike Maccagnan, you will definitely enjoy this pod. Robbie and Abby Martin examine why the Pentagon and Mainstream Media (CNN, 60 minutes, NYTimes) are taking the phenomenon of UFO sightings and theories into the realm of 'acceptable' dialog among the American public. While there is most definitely a psychological warfare component of this new wave of UFO media coverage, one cannot completely write-off the multitude of believable UFO sightings and abduction stories. The only difference now is that the US military is allowing officials to openly speak about their own sightings to the media and encouraging pilots and soldiers to report their encounters. The episode starts with a full chronological breakdown of how this new wave of media coverage materialized. On Part 2 of the episode available to our Patreon subscribers, Robbie and Abby break down many different angles of what could actually be happening, both with potential technologies UFOs utilize to the specific goals of what could be a form of psychological warfare. Finally they delve into how the Project for the New American Century Bush-era neocons actually asked for a 'US Space Force' in the same 2000 document (Rebuilding America's Defenses) they had also asked for a 'New Pearl Harbor'. I am very excited about this week’s and next week’s episodes because this is an incredibly valuable and actionable two-parter with a guest who is world-class at what he does and these are skill sets you’re going to need no matter what you do in life. As I’ve been growing this show and looking to take Beyond Influential to the next level, I’ve been thinking a lot about the people I know in my network who are master networkers—they build long-lasting relationships with people at all levels in a way that is not purely transactional, and they do it in a way that feels very real and authentic. I met this week’s guest, Christopher McDonald, when I was working with Tom Bilyeu as my client at VaynerTalent; he’s been an integral part of Tom’s brand and the launch and strategy of both Inside Quest and Impact Theory, which we get into in this Part 1. Christopher is a Talent Booker with almost two decades of experience and an extensive network of connections and relationships. He has worked with everyone from high profile billionaires to celebrities and has booked an array of top talent from the world of entertainment, sports, business, science, tech, and politics. And for what Christopher does as a talent booker, you need to have very strong relationships but also a very strong creative and strategic eye. Christopher has booked, produced, and written for an array of programming including late-night television, cable news, web series, and comedy sketch shows. Christopher helped launch The Kelly Clarkson Show (NBC), Tavis Smiley (PBS), the second coming of The Arsenio Hall Show (CBS/Tribune), It’s Not You, It’s Men with Tyrese & Rev Run (OWN), Post Malone's Worldwide Celebrity Pong League (Facebook Watch), and Demi Lovato’s project (Quibi), and he has been with Tom Bilyeu’s Impact Theory from the very beginning. Normally no one likes a name-dropper, but I specifically told Christopher to please namedrop in this conversation because he’s worked with people like Prince, Tom Cruise, Will Smith, Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, Angelina Jolie, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Dave Matthews, Joni Mitchell, Alicia Keys, John Legend... you get the picture. Since childhood, Pastor Don has always felt the call of God upon his life and has had a heart for ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
