Today we present new music from Magari, aka PBR Streetgang's Bonar Bradberry as he remixes Andy Ash on Sound Du Jour. Magari put's an 80's style twist on the original as he leans on pumping Italo grooves. Liverpool based DJ & producer Andy Ash has been a mainstay of the underground deep house scene with over a decade of critically acclaimed releases under his belt. His distinct aesthetic approach to making his music has made him a Scouse house music favourite featuring on labels such as Delusions of Grandeur, Dessous & Still Music. The UK producer now arrives on Sound Du Jour for the label's third release and first this year. Andy lands on La Mano's label with a four-track EP featuring remixes from Ian Blevins & PBR Streetgang's Magari. We premiere a track from an artist we've been following since he bust onto the scene back in 2018, Manchester based DJ and producer, PADDY. Only emerging on the scene back in 2018, the 24 year old has already launched his own label ‘Untitled Dance Club’ whilst his glowing discography on Bandcamp has received support from the likes of Patrick Topping, who hand selected PADDY to join him on the line-up for his Warehouse Project takeover a few years back. PADDY has also garnered further support from the likes of Elliot Adamson and Ricky Razu, as well as finding fans in Theo Kottis and PBR Streetgang. Closing 2020 on a promising high, December saw PADDY release ‘She Doesn’t Know‘ on newly launched London label Midnight People. The b side 'Again' garnered huge appeal, with Theo Kottis jumping on an official remix, whilst the original landed BBC Radio 1 play from Jaguar on her BBC Introducing show. Having kicked off 2021 with his 2 track 'Bright Colours' EP on Monki’s &Friends, PADDY continues his form releasing his latest 'Love Divide' EP on his own Manchester based imprint, United Dance Club. For this release the artist drops two killer Italo influenced records ready for the clubs and summer festivals to return to action. The A Side of 'Love divide' brings a high energy piano and Italo disco fuelled dance track with the B side 'Friends' accompanying it perfectly, ready for the club. The Bside of... Toy Tonics This is one of those episodes that we've been excited to bring you for a while now! “The Bside of…” mixtapes so far have proven to be up there with our best and this one is certainly no different. We are transporting you to Germany to place you in the very capable hands of co-founder Kapote, he stands out as a brilliant producer and selector in his own right so it's a privilege to have him guide us through a playlist of his very own favourites from The Bside of… Toy Tonics!!! Since 2015 Toy Tonics have been breathing a breath of fresh air into soul and disco, with their tasteful edits and carefully curated new productions making them possibly the hottest record label to recently emerge from Germany. Their style is an infectious fun that can explode into euphoric joy on any dance floor across the world. Beyond their releases they have proven themselves as one of Europe's best parties, with the Toy Tonics Jam series inviting many of the label's favourite artists to do their thing at the best clubs across the continent. Toy Tonics now has over 100 releases, EPs, Albums, Compilation Series, Edits and Original Productions. They are as prolific as they are consistently excellent, and they always aim to push the boundaries of “new house and futuristic electronic dance music”. Ahead of their upcoming gig in London with us on 2nd of March we caught up with banter merchants PBR Streetgang to pick their brains. From the prospect of wrestling a bear, to the frolicking utopia of Garden Festival, 2012 could literally be another hands-on year for PBR Streetgang.No one has ever questioned Bonar Bradberry and Tom Thorpe's work rate or commitment to the cause (the music industry, not modern bear combat) ever since the pair met almost a decade ago, and rightly so. It would also be foolish to say that the PBR brand has flirted with ubiquity of late. Their remix back catalogue is long but certainly not drawn out, tinkering unforgettably with the sounds of Crazy P, Odyssey and Death On The Balcony, as well as some solid homegrown work on labels that include Wolf Music, 2020Vision, and for their recent Downstroke release, Hot Creations. An impressive CV, so far, you'll agree.So as music partnerships go, Bonar and Tom are seemingly very compatible. A happy marriage, you could say, that is celebrating 10 years of crowd pleasing and festival teasing, which all started when they were fostering their trade in the legendary Asylum club in Leeds.For those fortunate enough to grace the dance floor during this tenure, you would have seen and heard some indelible moments, from Henrik Schwarz to Maurice Fulton projecting their celestial powers, to name but an esteemed few, at a venue where the boys can safely call home. Oh and they annually hold the fort at a little club called Space in Ibiza too.The Boogie Boat is clearly not running out of steam anytime soon, and with spaces in high demand, you had better book your ticket now.
