This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE! Robert Field inherited the property that would later be known as The White Hill Mansion from his father in 1757. As a successful merchant, Robert built a comfortable mansion on the property. Robert married Mary Peel in 1765. The marriage would be cut short by death, as Robert drowned under mysterious circumstances on January 29, 1775.  Mary lived at White Hill Mansion throughout the Revolutionary War and, thanks to her cunning intelligence, helped the property survive intact. In 1797, Mary signed over the property to her son, Robert III. Unfortunately, he lost the entire property due to mismanagement in 1804. The White Hill Mansion has changed hands many times since the original owners, occupied by inventors, doctors, and a State Senator. In 1923, an upscale German Restaurant often visited by New Jersey's elite was opened in The White Hill Mansion. In 1972, the restaurant was sold. It was twice sold after that, and finally to Stephan who planned to demolish the house. The Borough bought the White Hill Mansion, saving it from destruction.  A restoration project of The White Hill Mansion began in 2004. Over 30,000 artifacts were uncovered, as well as several building foundations and evidence of Native American occupation. Many spirits are still said to haunt the halls of The White Hill Mansion. Episode 89 focuses on how the changing demographic in South Florida over the past decades has provided opportunities for shared experiences. It was not too long ago that South Florida was viewed as the place people went to retire and live their "golden years." This is, of course, a wonderful place to retire but many families have relocated to South Florida to enjoy the wonderful weather, recreational amenities and relaxed lifestyle available year-round. This has created a diversity of ages that can offer great opportunities. Several weeks ago we highlighted an intergenerational program where children and retirees at an adult day care program can do joint activities. My guests today also are offering an opportunity for musicians from 10 - 90+ to make music together. The Florida Intergenerational Orchestra was founded by Lorraine Marks. Together with her husband, Robert Field, they have nurtured this opportunity for young and old to make beautiful music together. Listen to their excitement about this wonderful organization.

It's a nasty surprise when you really don't need one -- you think a medical procedure is covered by your insurance, until you get a monster bill after the fact. The No Surprises Act, which went into effect this year, aims to prevent some of those unexpected charges, specifically when part of an exam or procedure is performed by someone out of your insurance network. Dr. Robert Field, Professor of Law and Professor of Health Management & Policy at Drexel University, explains how the new law works and what you should pay attention to if you ever need to use it. What is the reach of authority over drug pricing?   Aaron and Robert delve into the world of health care and tackle a variety of topics. Robert Field inherited the property that would later be known as The White Hill Mansion from his father in 1757. As a successful merchant, Robert built a comfortable mansion on the property. Robert married Mary Peel in 1765. The marriage would be cut short by death, as Robert drowned under mysterious circumstances January 29, 1775.  Mary lived at White Hill Mansion throughout the RevolutionaryWar and thanks to her cunning intelligence helped the property survived intact. In 1797 Mary signed over the property to her son, Robert III. Unfortunately, he lost the entire property due to mismanagement in 1804. The White Hill Mansion has changed hands many times since the original owners, occupied by inventors, doctors and a State Senator. In 1923 an upscale German Restaurant often visited by New Jersey’s elite was opened in The White Hill Mansion. In 1972 the restaurant was sold. It was twice sold after that and finally to the Stepan planned to demolish the house, the Borough stepped in and bought the White Hill Mansion, saving it from destruction.  A restoration project of The White Hill Mansion began in 2004. Over 30,000 artifacts were uncovered, as well as several building foundations and evidence of native American occupation. Many spirits are still said to haunt the halls of The White Hill Mansion. Today we learn who they are.  See more at http://www.ghostpodcast.com

This month, in the middle of summer in the Northern Hemisphere, I share a bit of my experience as a teacher and musings on education and specifically, homeopathic education.  It's a big subject, and this hour barely scratches the surface. But it's a fascinating and thought provoking journey.    The Present:  Segments of interviews with homeopaths turned teacher: Robert Field of the Resonance School of Homeopathy, and Nancy Frederick of the Baylight Center for Homeopathy.  Wendy Pollock, chiropractor and certified homeopath shares her first homeopathic educational experience, as well as how teaching is a part of the work of Homeopaths Without Borders in Haiti.  Leiah Golden, daughter of well-known Australian homeopath Isaac Golden, describes a dreamy early homeopathic education: playing homeopath in her father's clinic.  And finally Jeremy Sherr brings to light his thoughts on teaching for 30 years, all around the world.    The Past: There are so many articles and references to homeopathic education and students in the archives. It seems that disagreements and passionate soapboxing on the state of homeopathic education were common topics for journals of the early 19th and 20th centuries.  Here, I read just a short excerpt from The British Homeopathic Journal of 1912.    The Future:  The interviews ran long this episode, so I was not able to squeeze in a discussion of a remedy. Stay tuned for next time!    Links to my guests below:  http://baylighthomeopathy.com/ https://www.resonanceschoolofhomeopathy.com/ http://dynamis.edu/ http://www.leiahgolden.com/#great-health Wendy Pollock at http://www.innershores.com/

I'm shooting for quality today. In the spirit of earlier podcasts concerning Giant Crab Movies and Journey, this podcast concerns what might today be called "Lounge Crooner Classics". In their day, they were pop songs commissioned to be played over the credits of movies and then sold as singles. We're talking about "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" by Frankie Avalon; "Journey to the 7th Planet" by Otto Brandenburg; "The Lost Continent" by The Peddlers; and "The Vengeance of She" by Robert Field. These are absurd performances of human art and commerce pitched to the highest possible degree. At least in my opinion. Moreover, they can help you with your anger! Few things do more to diminish anger than a feel for the absurd. This podcast is intended to help the speaker, and the listener, with his or her anger. "Come with me, And take a Voyage, To the Bottom, Of the Sea."
