I am joined this week by my dear friend and one of the most empowering women I know, Tory Archbold. Tory is one of Australia's top female entrepreneurs and CEOs, she knows that just as our stories have the power to shape us, so we have the power to shape our stories. Having attained global recognition through her businesses Torstar and Powerful Steps, she is now stepping back to connect with the powerful stories of extraordinary women—their highs and lows, near misses and great wins. We sat down to talk about how to elevate your life, business and brand strategies and her new book, “Self-Belief is your Superpower” launching in April. Bio: There is a reason why Tory Archbold is one of the most connected women in Australia. As CEO and Founder of Powerful Steps, host of podcast Powerful Stories and founder of brand and communications agency Torstar, it comes as no surprise that Tory has met some of the world's most influential celebrities, entrepreneurs, and CEO's. Through sharing her story of survival, of being a single mother determined to succeed, she has encouraged others along the way. A new issue of Women's Health hit the stands on Monday featuring the incredible Anna Heinrich in Seafolly, so we thought it would be a good time to revisit the chat we had with her earlier this year where she talks about how putting yourself through immense physical challenges can help you break out of your comfort zone. I hope you enjoy it.---For most of her life, Anna Heinrich has suffered from imposter syndrome. You wouldn't know it from looking at her life from the outside, since she first entered the public sphere almost 10 years ago on the very first season of The Bachelor, where she met her now husband Tim Robards, with whom she shares a daughter, Elle, who is now almost 18 months old. You also wouldn't realise it either if you saw clips and photos of her running while on fire and generally beasting it through the challenges in this season of SAS. But the former criminal lawyer, who recently gave up her career to become a full-time entrepreneur and work on her supplement brand Intu Wellness, says imposter syndrome has plagued her for as long as she can remember. In this episode, she chats about how challenging herself physically and mentally, helped her to finally overcome it. She also talks about the importance of sleep, exercise and nutrition in her wellness routine, and how surrounding herself by people who lift her up, has led to her living a life beyond what she originally thought was possible.CREDITS: This podcast was hosted and produced by WH editor-in-chief Lizza Gebilagin. For more from Women's Health Australia, find us on Instagram, visit our website or find the print and digital editions of the magazine. This episode I'm talking to Julian Lallo about his work, NFT's and a range of other topics I hope you'll find interesting. When first picking up the camera in 2015 photography was for Julian nothing more than a hobby - an excuse to hang out with friends and take photos of their sneakers. But it very quickly progressed to something much more than that. It became an obsession; an obsession which led Julian to experiment with all genres of the craft. From street photography and landscapes to portraiture and food. Through the power of social media his work was soon recognised by both brands and the photography community alike. Gaining work with recognised brands, in international tourism and an ambassador for Canon Australia. As his interests have shifted, so too has Julian's main focus and passion in photography; a shift towards fashion photography. A direction that is off to a great start, having involved campaigns both locally and internationally, with clients such as New Balance, Nana Judy, Intimo, Seafolly and George & King However, through the ever evolving journey of his career as a photographer one thing has remained the same… It still doesn't feel like work! I hope you enjoy the show! Her CV includes high-profile collaborations including DIOR, REVOLVE, Bumble and Ouai, cover features in Cosmopolitan and beauty bible Gritty Pretty, and the Cosmopolitan Social Media Star of the Year (Fashion) award in 2017. In this episode, we take a deep dive into the power of Elle's journey, leaving her corporate role as Global Visual Merchandiser for Seafolly to launch her own international beauty brand, Elle Effect, which quickly achieved cult status amongst beauty aficionados. Elle has worked tirelessly to build her brand. As an early adopter of social media, Elle started blogging out of pure love for fashion and quickly took to Instagram to showcase her incredible outfits each day. Now known for her golden glow and forward fashion, Elle takes being an influencer very seriously. To build a brand that people truly resonate with, it's so important to learn from your audience. What are they interested in? What do they want? This is how Elle Effect grew so organically. Elle shares her insights on social media engagement, and the valuable advice she was given by Eva Chen from Instagram HQ on how to effectively use the platform to present her brand and connect with her audience. We also talk about the importance of backing yourself, setting boundaries and anchoring your decisions to your values. Welcome to a new week, lovely yayborhood. If you‘re looking for some motivation for a fresh start, our guest for this episode is your woman. If you haven't heard of Tory Archbold, you've probably encountered her work in some form or another – she is the superstar publicist whose first business, Torstar, brought Zara to Australia, took Seafolly and Sukin overseas and included Nespresso, Victoria's Secret and Adidas in its booming portofolio. That was, however, before the universe took her through a near-death experience which you'll hear all about and through a complete re-evaluation of her life and priorities. In an a-ha moment sparked by Drew Barrymore, Tory decided to close her hugely successful agency and seize a brand new yay with Powerful Steps – a platform to inspire, encourage and empower others in their own lives. I think you'll understand very quickly why this is perfectly suited to her – she has so much to share about limiting beliefs, surrender and finding your power. What a valuable guest to have with us today for some wisdom and wonder about #yaysofourlives. Episode 16 Katie Jones, Country Girl Management From the farm to the USA: Country girl Katie Jones' journey to success. Katie Jones' ambition has taken her from a small farming town to professional cycling, Miss Universe Australia, and now to launching her modelling agency Country Girl Management in the US. Country Girl Management, a Gold Coast-based self-development program and modelling agency for young women across Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US, scouts girls who traditionally don't get a foot in the door at city-based agencies. While COVID-19 has all but decimated the traditional world of fashion shows and runways, Jones has still managed to finally crack into the US market this year but not without some stumbles on the way. Not one to let a pandemic get in the way of success, Jones managed to become an expert at running events online and still had models work for huge brands this year including Seafolly, Lea Denim and Mecca. This week Jack talks to Katie about how her stint as a professional cyclist gave her the ambition she needed to survive in business, and how international expansion is a tricky but rewarding science.

Today's guest is not only one of the most breathtakingly stunning people I've ever met, but also one of the hardest working, motivated and down to earth despite her many successes. While many of you will know Elyse Knowles as a leading Australian model and winner of the Block in 2017 with her legend of a partner, Josh, we've known Knowlzy since years before that and she's as humble, outdoorsy and unpretentious now as she always has been. Among a string of impressive achievements in just 26 short years, Elyse is an ambassador for Myer, Seafolly, Aveda, Davidoff and Vital Everyday as well as a charity ambassador for WaterAid. She is also a savvy business woman launching her own fashion label, Evrryday, and she and Josh are continuing as a killer renovation duo having recently moved into their second home after selling their completely transformed Coburg home in November last year. If you follow Elyse along with nearly a million other people, you'll know she can do full glamour better than most but prefers to go make up free by the Murray and loves camping, cleaning up the local beaches, motorbikes and her fur babies, Isla and Harlow. To top it all off she has just released her first beautiful book, From Me to You, sharing her story, challenges and top tips on beauty, fashion, health and fitness. So excited to have her here to chat more about the book and how she seizes her yay! + Full show notes here + Announcements on Insta at @spoonful_of_sarah + Subscribe to not miss out on the next instalment of YAY!
