Volkswagen is cutting bait, and unfortunately, the Arteon is going to end up on the cutting room floor after 2024. Still, the short-lived nameplate showed that VW can churn out stylish sedans. Joining VW dealerships in 2019, the Arteon sat atop the VW hierarchy despite sedans losing ground to luxe crossovers and SUVs. However, after slowing sales, Volkswagen formally announced in 2023 that it would be exiting the portfolio. This 2023 VW Arteon packs a 2.0-liter turbocharged I4 under the hood that sends 300 hp and 295 through a seven-speed automatic transmission and into either the front wheels or the 4Motion all-wheel-drive system. On this episode of Quick Spin, host Wesley Wren hops behind the wheel of the '23 VW Arteon and puts it through its paces. Wren takes you on a guided tour of the Arteon and highlights some of his favorite and least favorite features before taking you along on a live drive review. Adding to those thoughts, Wren chats with Autoweek executive editor Tom Murphy about the Arteon. The pair talk about why VW is discontinuing the Arteon, the car's sales performance, and the future of sedans in the marketplace. Closing the show, the pair breaks down what makes the Arteon special.

El precio de tarifa de esta variante TDI 150 CV DSG R-Line asciende a 55.990 euros, sin descuentos de la maraca y sin contar los extras. #Autel #Aputure #Canon Another Day, Another Pod! Episode 548 Big leaks for the new Autel drones due soon , A Mini, Evo 3, Evo lite, rumours of 2 models of the Mini version. One with obstacle avoidance for tracking options. 10 km range is fixed no other specs but 4K 60 would put it above the Mini2 from DJI. And then there is the Autel EVO Lite that is aimed at professional content creators. With a maximum flight time of 40 minutes, this drone will also have two iterations: Autel EVO Lite with a 1/1.28-inch CMOS sensor Autel EVO Lite Plus with a 1-inch CMOS sensor We can expect these drones to capture 4K video at 60fps with a host of social media-friendly, smart shooting presets. Three-way obstacle avoidance should be a given. And there's also an interesting “vertical shooting” mode that would allow the operator to switch between horizontal and vertical angles with a single click. According to the leaked spec sheet, the EVO III will have a maximum flight time of 38-40 minutes and dual-band high-definition image transmission with up to 10 km flight range. The drone will offer omnidirectional obstacle avoidance and will also sport a dedicated fisheye lens. It’s Martyn Lee here and I go through every EV story so you don't have to.   Some great news to start the new month, welcome to new EXECUTIVE PRODUCER PAUL RIDINGS   TESLA Q1 PRODUCTION AND DELIVERY REPORT Likely to come out before market open on Friday morning. Estimates are around 90,000 to 92,000 estimates for production Down 18-20% on Q4 last year. But, Up from 63,000 same time Q1 last year. ~7000 Model S, ~ 6500 Model X and 78,000 Model 3. Fremont closed on March 23rd, how will that affect production? Giga Shanghai will be interesting (3,000 vehicles a week could be the max) Model Y is the great unknown.   Delivery will be something else. They had 11 working days of inventory, the lowest in 4 years. They also have to guide for the future, what will they say about this year? What will it mean not just for Tesla but all EV makers?   CORONAVIRUS HELP FROM TESLA, SEAT, FORD AND GM Elon Musk said yesterday that Tesla will be shipping FDA-approved ventilators to areas in which they deliver cars. He tweeted: "Device & shipping cost are free. Only requirement is that the vents are needed immediately for patients, not stored in a warehouse. Please me or @Tesla know"   SEAT's factory in Martorell in Spain is making ventilators. They designed 13 prototypes until a final model was decided upon. The ventilators use the motor from a windscreen wiper. 150 workers are on the case making them.   Ford is to make 50,000 Airon ventilators with GE Healthcare, made in Michigan. The 50,000 will take 100 day and then they'll be at a rate of 30,000 a month. This is a form of device called CPAP.   GM making face masks since March 20th. Next week the first 20,000 delivered to front line workers. Less than seven days to get to production. At full speed their new line will at 50,000 masks per day, 1.5 million a month.   TESLA MODEL Y TEARDOWN FIRST IMPRESSION BY SANDY MUNRO "The Tesla Model Y Performance has officially arrived at Munro and Associates office in Auburn Hills, Michigan, as automotive industry veteran Sandy Munro and his team begin their full teardown of the new all-electric crossover. Munro specified the teardown would consist of a complete disassembly of the vehicle starting from the inside of the car." reports Teslarati: "The rest of the teardown process of the Model Y will consist of multiple live stream events from the Munro headquarters. There are up to 22 different possible configurations available, covering various battery-packaging variants and different drive motor drive systems. 2019 Volkswagen Arteon Review The 2019 Volkswagen Arteon has landed at Southern California VW dealerships.  And the Arteon's arrival is a big deal for a few reasons. For instance, the Arteon is VW's new flagship sedan.  Additionally, as often is the case with new vehicle rollouts, the Arteon encountered delays. As a result, that heightened anticipation for its arrival.  Most importantly, the 2019 VW Arteon brings with it a very new look.  And, um, wow! "It sort of slaps your mind ahead a few years while your brain catches up to what your eyes are telling you." It's classy but bold.  And yet, it's elegant but sporty.  To be sure, it's definitely cool.  In fact, a very cool looking all-new Volkswagen that still maintains it's VW heritage. There's more than a double-take involved when you first set eyes on the 2019 VW Arteon.  That's because of the futuristic styling.  In fact, it sort of slaps your mind ahead a few years while your brain catches up to what your eyes are telling you.
