With London gearing up to be the first European city to introduce driverless taxis, it won't be long before we have them here too! On this morning's Gift Grub, we got a little test drive. Hit play now to hear the episode in full.
Today on the show, some advice, before you move to a new neighborhood in New York City, take it for a test drive. Every block has its own energy, and the best way to know if it is right for you is to experience it firsthand. Walk the streets at different times of day, grab coffee or dinner at local spots, and talk to residents to get the real scoop. Check out social media to see how locals live and what they love—or don't—about the area. And don't forget to test your commute and explore everyday conveniences. Before you sign that lease or make an offer to purchase, make sure the neighborhood feels like home. Featuring guests Steven Gottleib of Coldwell Banker Warburg and Christian Rogers of Compass. A sleeker Prius that's actually fun, EV incentives vanishing, and a sports car that resets your grin—this one brings the big swings and the small joys. We kick off by tearing down the old hybrid myth and putting the latest Toyota Prius through a real-world lens: punchy off-the-line torque, thoughtful ergonomics, and the kind of efficiency that makes weekly gas stops feel optional. From there, we head straight into the question everyone's asking: with federal EV tax credits gone, does the market hold or fold? Jack Nerad joins us to unpack what a true sink-or-swim moment looks like, why some automakers are delaying EVs and battery plants, and how supplier instability can ripple from factory floors to your local service bay.We don't forget the fun. Jack shares seat time in the Toyota GR86—a small, balanced coupe that channels RX-7 and Miata vibes, reminding us why analog feedback still matters. That joy ride fuels a candid talk on size creep: when a Highlander ends up near full-size and “improvement” means more mass, more screens, and a higher price, do we lose the simple cars many drivers actually want? We compare focus group theories with street-level needs, and we get blunt about the UX headache everyone feels: lane-keeping that fights the driver and hides the off switch. The fix isn't magic; it's human-centered design and clearer choices. We round out with a nostalgic detour through S&H Green Stamps—the original loyalty hustle—and a creative pivot: Jack's new crime novel and the debate over AI narration versus human performance. The throughline across it all is choice and clarity. Hybrids that feel alive. EVs that fit real lives. Driver aids that obey intent. And stories—on the road and on the page—that keep us leaning in.If you enjoy smart car talk with real-world takeaways, tap follow, share this episode with a friend who still thinks hybrids are dull, and drop a review with your take: are incentives a crutch or a bridge? That Don't Sound Right is a podcast about talking — the way we did before the internet. Back when you couldn't fact-check anyone with a quick search, and all the expertise lived in the people in the conversation. We hope you enjoy ours. And if you ever find yourself thinking, “That don't sound right,” send us a comment — you're one of us. In this episode, Peter and Cecil record from the workshop, kick things off with a quick fiddle vs. violin debate, and follow up on a five-day road test driving 18-wheelers. This is the follow up episode to "Five Days on the Road" episode 203. The talk rolls through what life's really like on the road — sleeping in sleeper cabs, running HVAC on batteries and ultra-capacitors, parking and shower costs at truck stops, cooking between hauls, anti-idling rules, onboard cameras, and practical tips for safely sharing the road with the big rigs. #ThatDontSoundRight #TDSRpodcast #TruckingLife #TruckersTalk #BigRigStories #LifeOnTheRoad #DieselCulture #18WheelerLife #TruckStopTales #BlueCollarTalk #WorkshopWisdom Connect with us:

By David Farmer, Founder & CEO of inticeAfter my last video, I got a comment that made me realize something: even though we've been talking about our success with Honda for a while now, there's still a misconception out there that intice360° is just for Honda dealers.Let me be crystal clear—we're not. Not even close.Yes, Brandon Honda in Tampa was our very first intice360° website customer, and yes, we've expanded across a ton of Honda and Acura stores. We're part of the Honda and Acura digital dealer programs. But our footprint is expanding—and fast—across multiple OEMs.And that's what today's blog is about: showing exactly how flexible, powerful, and tailored our intice360° website solution really is across different brands. Our Website Platform Is Built DifferentWhen I say we offer a full website solution, I mean it. Most website providers give you a CMS—a bare shell—and then leave it up to you to stack a bunch of overpriced, disconnected widgets on top of it.With intice360°, there are no add-ons. Everything is included. It's one platform. One provider. One seamless experience. Our MAKER Suite includes:LeadMaker® – our $25 Test Drive scheduling techTradeMaker® – full trade-in experience with KBB integration or real-time Express Cash OffersDealMaker® – full digital retailing from first click to final pencilLoanMaker® – pre-approval and credit tools, soft pulls includedCredit Score Express® – customers get their score without a hard hitEntice Chat – our fully integrated, live chat solutionIt's all built in. Not bolted on.Kia, Acura, CDJR: See How intice360° FlexesLet's break it down by brand, so you can see how we're adapting our tech and design to deliver the best possible experience—and stay OEM-compliant.Kia – Herson's Kia, Rockville MDWe're not in the official Kia program, but we are 100% compliant. Herson's brought us on after years of working together on their Honda store. What we've built for Kia is visually striking and strategically tuned.Generative AI hero sliders tailored to Kia brandingFactory fonts and full compliance reviews before go-liveCTA stack engineered for lead capture: schedule test drive, get trade offer, get pre-qualifiedSpecials pages with embedded video offers, dynamic CTAs, and “send to mobile” lead captureIt looks tier-one. It performs tier-three.Acura – Jim Hudson AcuraThis store helped get us into the Acura Digital Dealer Program, and they're absolutely crushing it.Certified, approved designs and offer formatsCustom video content using Acura assets and drone footage of the storeClean UX with smart white space and high-impact calloutsFully integrated Maker Suite inside every VDP and SRPFuse videos—new format, professionally produced, 100% compliantEverything feels native to the brand, but distinctly intice360° under the hood.CDJR – Scott Robinson Chrysler Dodge Jeep RamOur newest launch, and it's a killer execution.Deep use of generative imagery, brand-themed design, and Jeep color palettesDynamic inventory filtering by brand (Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram)Videos produced in-house for every special—website, social, and display readyAll lead gen tech embedded with no third-party vendors neededLocal SEO pages for each surrounding market with custom content and AI-optimized copyAgain—we're not in the program (yet), but the work speaks for itself.Unified Tech, Tailored ExperienceEvery dealership gets a fully branded, OEM-specific experience powered by the same enterprise-level back-end. That means:Custom illustration styles based on brand (Jeep gets Jeeps, Kia gets Kias)Video ads with factory-correct visuals and messagingDynamic offer banners that match your inventory and update dailyFully VIN-decoded digital retailing tools built right into the page—not launched in a separate windowThis isn't plug-and-play. It's precision-built.More Than WebsitesYes, we build websites—but that's just one piece. With intice360°, you also get a full digital advertising platform:Paid Search (with no markup)Paid Social (also no markup)Video Pre-Roll, YouTube, CTV, Conquest Email, and moreReal-time video offer production, synced to your specialsSEO and local content strategy custom-built for each storeAnd you get one bill. They wanted:Websites that convertAds that performTech that worksSupport that gives a damnSo we gave it to them.If you're tired of chasing down six different vendors to manage your website, chat, trade tool, digital retailing, and ads—we should talk. We're already delivering this for dealers across Honda, Acura, Kia, CDJR, and more. You can get the best-in-class solution right now.

This week on NAFC, the crew kicks things off with a nostalgic deep dive into old-school DOS games—Test Drive, Doom, Wolfenstein, and other pixelated chaos from a simpler, more keyboard-smashing time. Things take a sudden left turn as everyone starts wildly guessing who's on the Epstein list. It's unhinged, it's reckless, and it's very on-brand. Gibbs and Zea catch Happy Gilmore 2 (yes, that exists) and the visually wild Green Snake, while Gibbs also gives his take on A24's Warfare. Izzy continues his anime crawl with Witch Watch and the ever-traumatizing Takopi's Original Sin. We also finally get Zea's long-awaited score for Fermat's Room, just moments before she straight-up falls asleep mid-recording. Then it's on to our first review for the new theme Against Type with One Hour Photo (2002)—Robin Williams gets creepy, and the gang is here for it. Support us on Patreon!

Dr. Cynthia West is the Director of the Leatherby Center for Entrepreneurship and Business Ethics, and Clinical Associate Professor at Chapman University. After spending 30 years as a sales and marketing leader for tech startups, she returns to her roots in academia. As Director, in just one year, Dr. West has re-invigorated the Center by raising over $2.2 million dollars in external funding, launched 8 new programs for entrepreneurs, and secured a grant that opens the Center doors to any community entrepreneur. For these and other accomplishments, she won Mentor of the Year 2024 from Women in the Housing & Real Estate Ecosystem (NAWRB) and Partner of the Year 2024 from the Brea Chamber of Commerce. During her tech startup years, Dr. West had two successful startup exits. TestDrive, a try before you buy software platform, was sold to R.R. Donnelley & Sons in just 14 months. She and her co-founders took Audio Highway, an audio on demand platform and MP3 player, public in just 3 years. She led a turnaround team at PROS, an AI revenue management solution, to close the company's biggest deal in its 30-year history, with Lenovo. Then, in the middle of the pandemic, as VP of Global Sales, she led the team that closed Fresco's biggest customer in its 12-year history, completely via remote. When she was 12 years old she sold 200 boxes of Girl Scout cookies, so that should have been her clue that she was destined for sales! Join Aaron Alexander & John Humphrey as they set sail for Viking shores in DreamWorks Animation's How to Train Your Dragon (2010). In a world where fearsome dragons terrorize the island of Berk, misfit teen Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III (Jay Baruchel, Entourage, This Is the End) struggles to prove himself as a true Viking warrior. When Hiccup captures the elusive Night Fury—only to form an unexpected friendship—he challenges his tribe's age-old beliefs under the watchful eye of dragon-fearing chieftain Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler, 300, Olympus Has Fallen). The film's standout cast includes America Ferrera (broadcast star of Ugly Betty and voice of Astrid Hofferson), who brings fierce determination to Hiccup's bold love interest; Craig Ferguson (late-night icon on The Late Late Show and voice of Gobber the Belch), providing rugged humor and mentorship; Christopher Mintz-Plasse (breakout in Kick-Ass, Role Models) as Fishlegs Ingerman, the encyclopedic dragon expert; Jonah Hill (Superbad, 21 Jump Street) as brash Snotlout Jorgenson; and Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids, Saturday Night Live) lending her wild comedic flair to Ruffnut Thorston, one half of Berk's most chaotic dragon-riding duo. Aaron & John break down every epic moment—from Hiccup's heart-pounding first flight aboard the Night Fury to the breathtaking “Test Drive” sequence where dragon and rider fly in perfect harmony, and the cliffhanger Night Terror attack that cements the bond between Hiccup and Toothless. Don't miss their take on the emotional dragon-rescue montage, the iconic “Song of the Hollow” final battle that unites Vikings and dragons, and the tear-jerking moment when Stoick finally recognizes his son's true heroism.
