It's Sunday night of the Memorial Day weekend. David W0DHG, Marty NN1C and Gary K4AAQ have nothing better to do, but no show topic is planned. We were gonna skip the week due to the holiday, but here we were. So we started the streams, pushed record, and away we went. Gary's Wirecast program crashed in the middle of recording, hence the two parts on YouTube and Facebook. The audio version is edited together as one piece (enjoy the sound effect). (Side note: Gary originally titled the re-start After the Crash, and it started getting way more views than the initial recording. Who knows why, but Gary figured that maybe that title was a bit of clickbait, so he changed them to Part 1 and Part 2. Integrity is a bitch. Marty caught COVID at the Hamvention®. He said it was rough for a few days, but he was feeling a lot better as of the show. But still testing positive. We talked about getting ready for Field Day. Gary pitched the HamRadioNow Field Day Playlist on YouTube, especially The Last BIG Field Day documentary that pretty much started things off for ARVN and HamRadioNow. And there are lots of other videos from ARVN, HRN and ‘KN4AQ' to get you in the mood for Field Day. In this week's show, Justin and Andy kick off the show with a discussion of what has been happening lately with Crypto. Visiting the show is an outspoken member of the popular Facebook group, Crypto Coin Trader, Oniel. Oniel gives us a rundown of what is trending with digital currency and its recent dip in value. NYC held an epic hearing on banning circus acts that use wild animals. Jen came into my office, about 2 hours into the testimony and said I needed to hear how they were tearing Ringling apart.  By the time I got Wirecast set to LIVE stream it the grilling of Tom Albert, Lacey their tiger trainer, UniverSoul Ops Mgr and The Big Apple clown, were off the stage and it was another 3 hours of public testimony, mostly in support of the ban.  I recorded it because I think the day will come when it will be one of those turning points.   I'm so happy and grateful that people are speaking out, from all walks of life, about the abuses inherent in making wild animals perform.   It makes me optimistic that we can drop our exemption for the circus from our bill.   I've been energized by the outpouring of support for Big Cat Rescue from the community, through the voting contests we've been winning, like Animalitarian of the Year, and the Valspar Golf contest that netted us about $55k combined.   Hi, I'm Carole Baskin and I've been writing my story since I was able to write, but when the media goes to share it, they only choose the parts that fit their idea of what will generate views.  If I'm going to share my story, it should be the whole story.  The titles are the dates things happened. Today many of our motions will be heard in Oklahoma. I'm glad that is finally happening.  It's been years of frustration and expense, but today the judge is supposed to hear a number of our motions which should result in a receiver taking over operations at GW Zoo, and Joe getting bitch slapped for contempt after flagrantly disregarding previous court orders to stop trying to hide assets.   I'm happy it's nearing an end, regardless of the outcome.  I'm thankful that we had the staying power to force this man and his band of minions into hiding.   I've been pleased that we haven't lost any ground at CITES, but disappointed that greed is still pressing the big cats to the brink of extinction with very little being done to stop it.   I was happy that USDA send out their annual report with promises to do something about cub handling, although they were pretty vague about it.   I am loving Wirecast because it gives me the ability to have a purr-sonal dialogue with our Facebook fans from my desk, so I can stay on target better with the big cat news.   I'm  so happy to have such a wonderful family.  So many times during and after the Wildcat Walkabout people commented to me about how wonderful my family, staff and volunteers all are.  I love that we have that sort of an atmosphere here.   Hi, I'm Carole Baskin and I've been writing my story since I was able to write, but when the media goes to share it, they only choose the parts that fit their idea of what will generate views.  If I'm going to share my story, it should be the whole story.  The titles are the dates things happened. I just use my social media platforms and influence there to make articles known. leverage every tool you have at your disposal. In my opinion don't leverage your social media for cats! We use everything for the glory of God and the building of his kingdom. certainly you can post stuff about your family, fun stuff etc. But the more you post cat videos the less you will be taken seriously. make a good mixture of fun, and serious content that is beneficial for people, and the building, discipling, and encouragement of the kingdom.c. Vlog (Video Podcasts) record using what you have try, try and try again.d. Social media content (You can replicate all content across all platforms. If you post something somewhere post it everywhere so that you don't have to create new content for every different platform. If I post something on FB I usually post it on Twitter. This way you can save time and influence more people.e. Email Supporter newsletter: Use this to inform and encourage your support network. (Mailchimp is free) use it for a church newsletter. You can stylize it to look nice instead of just text.f. WhatsApp is also a tool that could be used for gatherings, video conference, small groups etcg. Zoom, Google meet, Skype, FaceTime, etc are all good platforms to have meetings, churches are doing zoom Gottesdienste, etc. People can chime in via zoom to a live church service. Where people are able to attend physically, but in these times not your whole congregation is allowed to attend for space sake and Abstand then you can add a zoom function to every church service and have groups who switch Sundays of physical attendance.-The content of the gospel must stay the eternal content of the gospel-The message cannot change to fit the packaging.-Technology or innovation is only a tool innovation is only working on that tool-Personal meetings Vs. Ross Brand of Livestream Universe looks at sharing a recorded video of longer than 30 seconds on StreamYard. This tutorial covers two ways to play a recorded video on StreamYard, with Wirecast Virtual Cam as the recommended option. The same process works for playing a video clip using the virtual camera option in OBS. One way is to do a screen share and drag the video clip into a Chrome browser tab — and make sure the audio is turned on in that tab — and then you can play the video as a screen share. But that method has its weakness when it comes to transitioning to the clip and you may see parts of the Chrome browser showing up in the video. A cleaner, more professional way to share a video clip — if you have the technology — is to use Wirecast Virtual Cam. You add the video clip to a shot in Wirecast and then switch to the shot with that video when you are ready to play it. One thing to be aware of is you won't hear that video when it is playing during the live show. Wirecast provides a countdown, so you will know when to switch your shot back from the recorded video clip to your live feed. You will be sending the video clip and the audio from that video from Wirecast to StreamYard with Wirecast Virtual Camera and Wirecast Virtual Microphone. Your own video and audio will be sent to StreamYard the same way. I show you how to do it. It's actually easier than it just sounded.
