As he entered his post-teenage years it became apparent that religion proved to be fascinating as it contained three subjects that he enjoyed most - God, history, and science. In this episode of Faith and Family Fellowship, Dallas interviews guest, Artist and Author Charlita Houston aka Lita Colón. Charlita started singing at a very early age. When she moved to California from Cleveland, Ohio in 1986 her love for music became more apparent. Charlita began singing in the church gospel choirs, local ensembles and touring with her family. In 2005 Charlita ventured out as a solo artist. She began writing and producing her own music and was soon opening up for artist such as Oleta Adams, Tramaine Hawkins, Walter Hawkins, Jason Nelson and some of the bay area finest. In 2008 Charlita recorded her first multi single entitled “Go On” and partnered with sponsors to do a benefit concert for the people in Uganda. For several years Charlita began working with local choirs on voice training and proper technique. In 2016 Charlita graduated from Diablo Valley College receiving her AA in Music and transferred to Cal State East Bay where she received her BA in the spring of 2018. Charlita then went on to teach music for grades 5-8 at Bilingual Middle School. Charlita has published her first book entitled “No Greater Love”, and is a wife to a pastor with three lovely daughters.
