Dani Sheriff is an Austin based content creator and is the host of The Hypothalamic Amenorrhea Podcast and runs The HA Society, a community for women who want to get their period back. She’s just like every other person in the world, she struggles with her body image and self worth. Being obsessed with looking ‘the correct way’ took so much energy both physically and mentally. She had absolutely nothing to show for it. No one was congratulating her or thanking her for impacting their lives. She didn’t have an enjoyable social life or a menstrual cycle. Nothing. She lost both her time and her fertility. So she realized she needed to change. She started eating and resting and her body started to heal. With all this new-found time and energy, she picked up a pen and started to draw women with real bodies, having real thoughts and struggling through real barriers. And people liked it. They started thanking her for the impact that her work was having on them. That’s when Dani realized she was starting to make an impact and found her calling. She then started podcasting and YouTubing to keep the message spreading. Since then, she’s grown a following of women (and men) who are trying to free up mental and physical space so that they can actually do real work. She does this by creating art, podcasts and YouTube videos. That’s her mission. And none of it had anything to do with making herself smaller or hungry. Short version: Dani Sheriff is an Austin based content creator and is the host of The Hypothalamic Amenorrhea Podcast. She creates digital illustrations portraying real women. She’s the co-host of the Adulting Advice podcast, a podcast that aims to validate and empower people in their careers and their bodies. She’s the host of the Hypothalamic Amenorrhea podcast – a podcast series for women who care about their periods and she combined all of these topics in her one-stop-shop YouTube Channel, too. My guest for today is Camille Wyand! Camille and I have been friends for about 10 years now (which is crazy to say because it makes me feel old) and she has always been a very fun and inspiring individual. On today’s episode, we discuss her passions for traveling, yoga, and how she is working to excel in her career as a consultant. ———————————————— I was born and raised in Warren, OH with my parents and 3 brothers. I attended Ohio State University and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance. Growing up I always had a desire to travel to other countries and learn new languages. I somehow convinced my parents to let me be an exchange student in Spain for 6 months when I was a Junior in High School. After my time in Spain and making friends with exchange students from around the world, I was hooked on travelling and meeting people from around the world. I backpacked Europe at age 18 for a month with a friend, then at 22 I backpacked Southeast Asia alone for 3 months. While in Asia I spent a month getting my Yoga teaching Certification in Bali where I got to learn so much about yoga, myself, and met the most amazing people from around the world. I now live in New York City (somewhere I had wanted to live since I was little) and work in Consulting at Accenture. Its my first year working full time, so its been an interesting time figuring things out and how to balance work and health. I love spending my time exploring the city, trying new restaurants, or having a glass of wine with my girl friends. ———————————————— Thank you so much for listening! Have you ever wondered what it would be like to give up alcohol for a month? A couple months? Six months? A year? Do you think your relationship with alcohol needs some work or you are becoming a little too dependent? Then this is the podcast for you! I first found OYNB on a podcast called Zestology and it immediately sparked my interest. When this podcast airs, I am on day 57 alcohol free and have only drank on one night since January 1, 2020. Check out this episode if you are ready to discover what an alcohol free life looks like! _______________________________________ Born in Mull, Ruari set up his first business on the island at the age of 16 selling and servicing PCs. A successful oil broking career in London followed where Ruari was quick to establish himself as a success. However, it was a career path that was fuelled by alcohol, and it led Ruari to realise the impact that regular drinking was having in other aspects of his life. After a few failed attempts, Ruari quit drinking and found the effects life-changing, Keen to spread the word, Ruari formed a friendship with fellow alcohol-free oil broker Andy Ramage and established OYNB in 2016 with the aim of helping other people realise the life advantages that come from changing their relationship with alcohol. OYNB has since helped over 70,000 people in 90 countries create healthier lifestyles. It’s not just about not drinking. It’s about putting members back in the driving seat and helping break down the habits associated with drinking - the same habits that can help change multiple areas of your life. A major reason for OYNB’s success is the MEND system. Standing for Mind, Exercise, Nutrition, Do, it’s all about developing a more positive and proactive mindset about going alcohol-free and making the most of the time, money, energy and positive relationships that comes as a result. _______________________________________ OYNB 28 Day Challenge for FREE - https://www.oneyearnobeer.com/hereforyou OYNB Website - https://www.oneyearnobeer.com/ OYNB Podcast - https://www.oneyearnobeer.com/podcasts/ OYNB on Zestology - https://tonywrighton.com/podcast/mindset-hacks-andy-ramage-236 _______________________________________ If you have any questions or recommendations, email me at emily@emilymorello.com. I had the pleasure of interviewing my good friend, Ellen Baranack, for today’s episode! We discuss how she balances her job as a sales engineer with her passions and active lifestyle, staying true to yourself in an ever changing world, and the importance of realizing it is okay to not know everything in your career (and really all other aspects of life). ____________________________________ “I was born and raised in Dover, OH where most of my family still resides. I attended Ohio University for undergrad and graduate school where I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration. During my time at OU, I worked at a local coffee shop and met some of my very best friends and boyfriend. After graduation, I took a job with Parker Hannifin as a Territory Manager. I am now based out of Atlanta, GA where I cover four states for Compressed Air and Gas Treatment Technologies. I live with my boyfriend and my two year old Australian Shepherd, Bleu. Outside of work, I spend my time practicing yoga, looking for another race to sign up for, hiking, cooking, and baking. You can find me anywhere there is good food, good beer, and plants for sale. I also enjoy learning and reading about some of my favorite subjects, such as different religions, philosophy, astronomy, and the art of travel.” ____________________________________ Passion Planner https://passionplanner.com/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw6_vzBRCIARIsAOs54z5FrD5d8-I-yWgCubvCRxMuHCmrPyNyG0MC3_f8F8jFGCDKiYOwyPUaAqVNEALw_wcB 24 https://www.hulu.com/series/24-9e3bdada-bf2e-491e-aa0a-0f4c97f520d6 Tiger King https://www.netflix.com/title/81115994 ____________________________________ If you have any questions or recommendations, email me at emily@emilymorello.com.
