Those experiencing true imposter syndrome often attribute their achievements to luck, timing, or deceiving others into thinking they are more competent than they believe themselves to be. The very first step in addressing it, is to understand the feelings of self doubt are real and that they are common, many others feel the same, atleast at some point, so you know that you are far from alone.
