We're back for TPP 153 and Lady Gaga takes centre stage in the Joker sequel, what are they doing - why are they doing it - and how much singing is in it. The Killer's Game is the latest John Wick wannabe and it looks fun, unless you're someone who is not capable of having fun, like an accountant. Sarah Paulson and Hold Your Breath braces for a dust storm in the 1930's that challenges her sanity. It's What's Inside is what's inside the totter. Gladiator II has arrived and brings us home in the five hole, and if you are someone that watches the sequel before the original then you are dead to me, and I will have my vengeance - on this podcast or the next.
Nathan, Andrew and Amanda talk Tennis in advance of the 2024 US Open
We're back for TPP 152 and the Intern has drawn a line in the sand by abandoning us for this episode. It is fitting that our headliner is Civil War. Jake Gyllenhaal makes his highly anticipated return in the remake of Roadhouse and for the first time in Trailer Park Podcast history everyone has watched the movie which allows us to have in depth discussion about wonderful Jake is. Late Night with the Devil brings a fresh premise to the horror genre, a real bounce back for the fulcrum after a historic losing streak. We thought the joke was over, the Intern watched a substantial number of sasquatch films and even received a sasquatch keychain. That was before a main stream unicorn of a movie called Sasquatch Sunset shone it's light on us. In the five hole we check out The Fall Guy and ask the question everyone has been dying to know the answer to, who has more moxie? Ryan Gosling or Ryan Reynolds?
We're back after a 6 month hiatus for TPP 151, mainly to service an intervention as the Intern must face the fire and struggle with his hatred of Mad Max and his love for Anya Taylor Joy. Does he have it in him to embrace Furiosa? it will likely come down to how many bungee cords and fire instruments there are. Drive Away Dolls is the first film in a new trilogy of queer B movies from only one of the Cohen brothers, we here at TPP love it when trilogies are planned before the first movie is released. The fulcrum is not a true horror film, but the concept is terrifying in ISS with world war 3 interrupting the astronauts on the international space station during some winds of change karaoke. Poor Things is the next movie by Yorgos Lanthimos which is a name that drips with anticipation from the lips of cinephiles everywhere, so naturally we spend most of our time during the review of this trailer asking the Intern to try and control himself and wipe the lanthimos off his face. Argylle rounds out the lineup in the five hole and it looks like it is going to score on a breakaway, if excitement over a movie made someone want to jack off, things would get pretty messy at Sad Sack Studios during this episode.
We agree to do our own stunts for TPP 150 as we choose to accept Mission, colon, Impossible, hyphen, Dead Reckoning Part One. This franchise is the king of there may have been another way but let's base jump through the clouds off a Norwegian cliff anyway because Tom Cruise fucking wants to. Barbie comes to life and heads for the real world - let the fish out of water hi jinx commence! The fulcrum is about a possessed severed hand and we can't quite put our finger on why it's called Talk to Me instead of the obvious Shake my Hand. Oppenheimer arrives from Christopher Nolan who hopes to bounce back from whatever the fuck Tenet was. The Manhattan Project and the moral questions of creating and detonating the atom bomb is a frightening part of our history, thank goodness the women were brought along to support the important male scientists both emotionally and to feed them. Dune Part Two brings the podcast home with a satisfying conclusion to what is likely the Science Fiction masterpiece of this generation.
Join us for TPP 149 as we embrace the real last crusade of Indiana Jones as Harrison dials it up one more time before he hangs up the whip. The Spider-Verse trilogy continues with its second installment as Miles and the Spidermen battle across 6 different dimensions. The Boogeyman holds down the fulcrum lurking in the dark waiting to traumatize children. Pixar brings us Elemental and it is the first time in five years that they will play a short before the movie, the world looks detailed and vast, the story looks like Romeo & Juliet, probably without the suicide, although it does look like Water boy could accidentally murder Fire girl pretty easily. Finally, the Fast franchise has been unceremoniously demoted to the five hole after the 9th installment fell flat. Fast X appears to be returning to what made its over the top ridiculousness so popular with a the first of a two part finale of the saga with a reasonable runtime and more family and physics defying stunt sequences because fuck it, why not.
Join us for TPP 148 as we warp into The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Jake Gyllenhaal tries to turn things around in Guy Ritchie's The Covenant, and make sure you say Guy Ritchie's The Covenant and not just The Covenant. Nicolas Cage is Dracula in Renfield and as usual he looks like he is hijacking the movie with his acting choices. Dungeons & Dragons reboots itself into theatres with Chris Pine giving it some clout and some charm. Sisu, the finnish John Wick arrives in the five hole with some Turbo Kid style violence against Nazi's because once you establish Nazi's are involved you can pretty much do anything you want to them.
Join us at our own high table for TPP 147 as John Wick continues to rack up the most epic body count in cinematic history fighting beyond the trilogy to reach a final dual at high noon. A bear overdoses on cocaine in the teeter and a murderous android named Megan dances her way to tik tok fame in the fulcrum. Women Talking is our Intern entry for 147 in the fulcrum, directed by Sarah Polley and a stacked cast of exceptional actresses - this one is a sure fire awards contender. Rounding us out in the five hole is M Night Shyamalan and a Knock at the Cabin, is the apocalypse really imminent? or are these home invaders just a bunch of psychos...
Avatar finally has a chance to headline TPP for episode 146! James Cameron returns after 13 years to remind Hollywood how dependent they are on his Canadian genius. Quit talking about how long it is! get up and go pee and stop whining! Sam Mendes returns and is directing his own solo written script for the first time with Empire of Light starring Olivia Coleman who looks like she is crushing it again. Romance and horror? cannibalism? murderers hunting each other? you get all of that in the fulcrum with Bones and All. Can you even peel a Glass Onion? Knives Out was purchased by Netflix and here comes the first of many sequels in this mystery franchise starring a large ensemble of quality players. Violent Night provides a taste of Christmas for us in the five hold as Santa Clause does his best John McClane impression killing terrorists on his naughty list.
Stop being a normal for TPP 145! Weird Al's biopic parody is our headliner and Radcliffe is crushing it as usual. David O. Russell returns after 7 years with Amsterdam. There is a bunch of recognizable Hollywood performers in it as usual, but it looks like a convoluted mess and the critics are finally laying into you this time David. The reimagining of Hellraiser is upon us in the fulcrum and hopefully no suffering is wasted. Enola Holmes returns in the totter for some more quippy deduction and Henry Cavill cameos. Disney's newest original animated adventure finishes off the lineup and the lead voice actor is none other than our podcast darling Jake Gyllenhaal, so clearly we are all behind this one and are expecting it to be a resounding success.
Welcome to TPP 144! We're all here because we believe in the mission and all we ask is that you stay here where it's safe. Don't Worry Darling is our headliner for episode 144. George Miller returns to TPP with Three Thousand Years of Longing in the teeter. Justin Long plays the bait as House of Darkness re-imagines Dracula in the fulcrum. Triangle of Sadness got an 8 minute standing ovation at Cannes and steers us toward excitement in the totter. See How they Run starring Sam Rockwell and Saoirse Ronan investigate a murder in a charming whodunit in the five hole.
We Peele back the curtain for TPP 142! Nope, or Not Of Planet Earth, arrives and our headliner is promising the trifecta - a summer blockbuster that is both science fiction and horror. Miles Teller acknowledges he wants the drip turned on in Spiderhead. We check out some Crimes of the Future in the fulrcum and try to hold Daniel back from his enthusiasm over Cronenberg's body horror apparently kicking into overdrive. Lightyear takes off for some good clean space adventure in the totter, and we bring things home in the five hole with Thor: Love and Thunder which looks like an absolute delight with Natalie Portman returning to delight us with her abundant skill and charm.
The Bulger family is serving us with a feature film burger for TPP 141! Jerrod Carmichael makes his directorial debut On the Count of Three in the teeter. Watcher is standing and following in the fulcrum. Marcel the Shell with Shoes On looks for his family in the totter, and Elvis is gonna get famous, cheat on his wife and drink himself to death in the five hole.
Join us for TPP 140! We feel the need for speed, and 35 year old nostalgia as Top Gun: Maverick has finally arrived after 3 years of having its release pushed back. They've got cameras all over the planes, G Force training and oiled up muscles on the beach fueling our excitement. In the Teeter comes Dual, a standout at Sundance about someone fighting their clone in a dual to the death. It's raining Men in the fulcrum as Alex Garland engages the horror genre after providing some pretty satisfying science fiction over the last few years. Jake Gyllenhaal returns to TPP and really needs a win so the obvious choice is to get Michael Bay to direct a movie about a bank heist and a getaway in an Ambulance. Finally, for the first time in TPP history we are doing an encore to bring the newer and better trailer for The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.
Join us for TPP 139! He's got a strong jaw but something is wrong with his teeth! The Batman is our fulcrum and it is apparently a detective story this time around. A 2 hour and 55 minute detective story. Highly touted at Sundance, After Yang is set in the future. Yang was apparently a purchased sibling android that lies and spies on you. The fulcrum is Ti West's latest porno horror film called "X". Guy Ritchie is back with Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre in the totter. Ruse de Guerre is translated as Ruse of War. There is apparently 17 ruses and we expect to see every last one of them. Finally our five hole is Robert Eggers' latest Viking vengeance epic "The Northman".
The Moon is falling toward the Earth! It's hollow! It has aliens inside it? The aliens have a weird hibernation extinction schedule? Moonfall is our headliner for TPP 138. Nicolas Cage returns in the teeter and the weight of his massive talent is unbearable. Scream is back and Ghostface is ready to meta our fulcrum. Kimi is here in the totter and the Daniels fill the five hole with everything everywhere all at once.
Take the red pill and join us for the resurrection of one of the most profound science fiction movies of all time. Don't Look Up for the teeter of 137 unless you want to see a bunch of washed up celebrities circle jerking each other in a lame comedy that is 30 minutes too long. The fulcrum takes a stroll down Nightmare Alley only to be overwhelmed by every villain from every Spider-Man movie ever made shoving themselves into the totter in Marvel's latest mega movie. We cap it off with the highly anticipated Spielberg rendition of West Side Story, which looks like even though it's executing on every level possible it won't be enough. It simply has no spider men, strange doctor's or costumed villains in it.
Join us for TPP 136! as we take out a hit out on our headliner, House of Gucci. The Power of the Dog looks like it will literally sit and stay for the duration, a slow burn warming the Intern's enthusiasm for award season. The Feast is a foreign Welsh film and is about an exclusive dinner party turning into a last supper. Paul Thomas Anderson returns with Licorice Pizza, an inviting coming of age starring some fresh faces including Cooper Hoffman, the son of the late Philip Seymour Hoffman. Slotting into the five hole is Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which brings us more nepotism with Jason Reitman, son of Ivan, bringing Ghostbusters back to the big screen.
Welcome Gyllenholics to TPP 135! Our headliner is The Guilty which is fitting because aren't we all a little guilty of loving Jake Gyllenhaal? Jim Cummings returns in the Teeter with The Beta Test and it looks like he's only getting better at what he does. There's Someone Inside Your House... sorry just kidding! that's the name of our fulcrum for 135. Red Notice slides into the Totter with The Rock, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot all being shamelessly paid 20 million each to circle jerk some cookie cutter action. The five hole brings us what the Intern describes as Edgar Wright's masterpiece, Last Night in Soho. Inspired by Criterion collection movies and starring both of the young actresses that the Intern uncomfortably lusts after - Thomasin Mckenzie and Anya Taylor Joy. Can we say we feel awkward instead of worried or excited?
We challenge you to a duel! The Last Duel headlines TPP 134 and it should really be called the last legally sanctioned trial by combat, but why split hairs - even if they are blonde and silly looking. Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is in the teeter position as part of our new mandate for Marvel movies starting with Phase 4 and beyond. We at Sad Sack Studios feel that Marvel movies blew their load with End Game and are not capable of climaxing like that ever again and thus should no longer be considered for the headliner position. The Candyman direct sequel / reboot emerges as our fulcrum for 134 and brings with it some uncomfortable childhood trauma for Nathan and what appears to be some sexual perversions for the Intern. No Man of God holds down the totter with what feels like phase 4 of the Ted Bundy cinematic universe. The five hole presents us with some of the most intriguing quote persuasion in a trailer we've ever seen, Nicolas Cage himself is quoted as saying that Prisoners of the Ghostland is the wildest movie he's ever made. Those who embrace Cage's recent filmography know what kind of impact this could have on all of our lives.
Join us for TPP 133! Free Guy has gone through multiple delays and several marketing campaigns to finally arrive as our headliner for TPP 133 and we'll tell you if it was worth the wait. M. Night Shyamalan is back to trick us once again with his new movie Old and we would like to suggest to M. Night that his next movie after this one should be called Trust and it should be about a film director who always makes promises and never follows through. Neil Blomkamp has finally arrived in the horror genre holding down the fulcrum with his new film Demonic. Nicolas Cage returns to TPP with a movie about a psychologically damaged chef who has his truffle pig kidnapped from him. Let me say that again - psychologically damaged chef, kidnapped truffle pig. The crazy is chock full of nudity in the five hole with Titane, the new movie from the director of Raw and although we read the synopsis and watched and enjoyed the trailer several times - we still have no idea what it is about.
It's a gentlemen's roundtable for TPP 132! First we check out the ladies in Gunpowder Milkshake and evaluate whether they can be as badass as a man. We take in some culture by immersing ourselves in the genius of Leos Carax with Annette. If you enjoy Lychen then you may find Werewolves Within our fulcrum. Zola is a movie based on a story posted on social media about strippers - strippers, sex, drugs, and don't say another word because count us in. The five hole is about remembering your past lives and becoming Infinite; it's unclear if that means immortal and whether there can be more than one.
The Suicide Squad gets a do over and headlines episode 131 of Trailer Park Podcast. The teeter is about a viral video star that is no one special. The Night House shows us the dangers of reverse floorplans. Angelina Jolie is back with Those Who Wish Me Dead and we discover that many people actually do. In the five hole, we bring you the long awaited remake of the 2004 french film Cash Truck.
Join us for TPP 130 as we get fast and furious but keep it PG-13. F9 is the headliner and we question how genuine Dom is and whether he has turned his back on family. Michael Bakari Jordan is John Kelly in Tom Clancy's Without Remorse which has been in development purgatory since the early 90's so this better be fucking good. In the fulcrum, Zack Snyder returns to the franchise that launched his directorial career with Army of the Dead. Godzilla vs. Kong falls to the totter because it uses terrible music in its trailer. Director Adam Wingard promises a clear winner to the fight and if we couldn't see chrome on Godzilla's tail we might have fallen for his weak attempt at hiding a Zilla / Kong tag team against Mechagodzilla. We finish this lineup with Mortal Kombat which actually looks like it could summit the good bad mountain of expectation.
Join us for TPP 129 as we journey to Arrakis to get high on spice in celebration of Denis Villeneuve's Dune. The Black Messiah is throwing down cries for freedom that Braveheart would be proud of while Judas plots to save himself in the teeter. Willy's Wonderland holds down the fulcrum and stars Nicolas Cage as a man of few words who likes to trade janitorial services for auto repair. Bar and Star Go to the totter and also to Vista Del Mar. Coming 2 America is in the five hole as Akeem returns to America to fetch his son and take him back to Zamunda. Honestly it looks the sequel could have just been called Zamunda.
Join us for TPP 128 as we get teleported to a strange land to hunt monsters with the fifth element herself. Wes Anderson holds down the teeter breaking the fourth wall and leveling haughty stares at everyone. Psycho Goreman is about an evil being under the control of the little girl who unearths him, it is also a strong candidate for father daughter horror film bonding. Chaos walks into the totter in true form previewing multiple movies in the same trailer. Nobody is in the five hole. No, literally Nobody is in the five hole - it's a movie starring Bob Odenkirk as John Wick.
Join us for TPP 127 as we finally find out how manners maketh The King's Man. There's no Jiu Jitsu in the trailer but that's what it's called and Nic Cage looks bat shit crazy in it. Songbird is about the pandemic getting worse and never ending so people should flock to see this one. We think The Prom is about lesbians and Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman and James Corden celebrating lesbians with music and dancing. Finally, a spoiled rich kid gets coal for Christmas and hires a hitman to assassinate Santa Clause in Fatman but Kris doesn't Kringle when conditions get icy. Only Mel knows Mel. That is all.
Possessor takes hold of the "head"liner for Trailer Park Podcast 126! We discuss how the Intern would be a prime candidate for possession. Black Bear comes out of hibernation from the Sundance Film Festival, Jim Cummings returns from Thunder Road with our fulcrum in The Wolf of Snow Hollow, Sofia Coppola and Bill Murray reunite with On The Rocks and finally, The Falcon and Christian Grey take some time bending drugs in Synchronic.
We continue with the 5th installment of the PREESH series. Back to the Future delivers what could be one of the most perfected screenplays in movie history. A science fiction adventure that literally uses time travel as it's vehicle to entertain us with it's flawless execution. It also reverses the Oedipus Complex and makes us think about our mothers wanting to have sex with us.
Wonder Woman carries DC on her back and is our headliner for Trailer Park Podcast 125! Jude Law and Carrie Coon play marriage mind games in The Nest, Carey Mulligan gets her torture on after being scorned in Promising Young Woman, Charlie Kaufman returns to confuse us some more with I'm Thinking of Ending Things and finally, Jake Gyllenhaal's production company bring us The Devil All the Time in the five hole. There is a whole bunch of people in it but that's really all you need to know.

B+ leading man Gerard Butler returns to navigate a meteor shower and escape with his family to Greenland. In the teeter Andy Samberg invites a brides maid into an infinite time loop in Palm Springs. In the fulcrum Dave Franco makes his directorial debut with The Rental. Immortals take up arms in The Old Guard in the totter and Bill & Ted Face the Music in the five hole.
Join us as we continue our PREESH series where we dig deep into some of our most beloved movies. Color Out of Space challenges the boundaries of how we perceive what might be out there waiting to visit us. It introduces us to a world that may be too powerful and complex for the human mind to endure. It also shows us what a herd of Alpaca's would look like fused together into a sloppy organic mess. What it might feel like if you had to consume your child while transforming into a spider crab beast. Oh and don't forget Nicolas Cage going to crazy town doing goofy voices while blasting a shotgun with his face covered in blood.
We are being drawn back into active service for Trailer Park Podcast episode 123. Daniel Craig returns in what is likely his final performance as 007, here's hoping he goes out with a bang. In the teeter Russell Crowe tries to get an apology in Unhinged which is slated to be the first new movie in theatres post pandemic . In the fulcrum Chris Rock resurrects the Saw franchise with Spiral which is a violation of horror franchise rules having not yet gone to space or to hell. The King of Staten Island sits on the totter throne as Judd Apatow makes another long comedy giving Pete Davidson a shot at being as famous as the women he dates. Tenet challenges the very concept of time itself so although we are placing it in the five hole for this lineup it may not stay there.
Join us for our third installment of the PREESH series as we continue to dive deep into the some celebrated and beloved movies. American Beauty asks us to look closer at ourselves. To confront the inappropriate thoughts, uncertainty and insecurity inside all of us. To see the life behind things and the benevolent force that can silence your fear and set you free. Sure you run the risk of destroying your marriage, alienating your children and flirting with pedophilia but it's hard to stay mad when there is so much beauty in the world.
We will bring honor to you all in Trailer Park Podcast episode 122. Mulan headlines our classiest episode to date as we talk Disney live action remakes and how Mulan could kick the shit out of every other Disney princess. In the teeter we check out Swallow which is about a lonely pregnant housewife that starts putting sharp objects in her mouth and the whole thing is very upsetting. The fulcrum is about the Wendigo and is called Antlers. We discuss the discrimination that is clearly going on against Canadian creatures in the horror genre and how any Wendigo sightings or activity in the northern United States is clearly due to seasonal migration. Vivarium holds down the totter position in a structured and enclosed manner allowing us to properly observe and study its merits. The Way Back posts up in the five hole and stars the 3 B's, Basketball, Booze and Ben Affleck. Great art comes from great pain Ben, here's to this one being a slam dunk.

Join us for our first episode of the PREESH series! We've decided to dive deep into the some celebrated and beloved movies. We're playing it safe and cutting our teeth with A Few Good Men. When appreciating a movie one must also call it out for it's missteps and failures. You should be able to walk away from a PREESH episode knowing more about the movie while laughing with us at it's shortcomings.
We've got something for everyone in episode 118! Lonely people slowly going insane, adulterous astronauts that can't stay grounded, maritime machismo, hallucinations of Hitler and just when you thought it had already peaked... more zombies.
We travel to the stars with difficulty for episode 117! Brad Pitt blasts off to the final frontier where only his father has gone before. David Oyelowo won't let go and has an incredible cell phone plan. Pennywise chases some more losers in the fulcrum. Dick Long dies and has some really shitty friends. The five hole spreads happiness and joy with a weight loss marathon. If the fuddy duddy's are excited about them all does it mean that this is the greatest lineup we've ever had?
You don't turn your back on family. You also don't turn your back on the 116th consecutive greatest lineup we've ever had. In the headliner, Hobbs and Shaw turn their backs on the Fast & Furious family with outrageous confidence. Samara Weaving holds down the teeter whether you are ready or not. Crawl drags itself on all fours into the fulcrum. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood there was a pretentious director who announced how many movies he's made every time he makes a movie. The final movie of phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe headlines episode 115 and it doesn't even matter what it's called, the only thing that matters is that Jake Gyllenhaal is in it. In the Teeter something wicker this way comes with Scandinavians and do it yourself mutilation. The fulcrum seeks to reboot and rebuke with what appears to be an unnecessary fresh start for Chucky. Trailer Park Podcast episode 112 has arrived and you guessed it, it's the best one yet! Captain Marvel leads the charge as our first significant MCU movie headliner of 2019. The Teeter brings us the latest entry from the director of Bone Tomahawk and it stars Mel Gibson as a bitter angry old man which is basically like Bryce Harper playing tee ball. The funniest part of that last sentence is that I'm the only one that was on the podcast that even knows who Bryce Harper is. The fulcrum is Jordan Peele's attempt at going for 2 for 2. After the tremendous success and basic bad ass quality of Get Out, he brings us ... Us. The Totter is Greta and you can basically watch the whole movie when you see the trailer so the question really becomes how much Greta you want in your life. The Five-Hole is an action movie with an impressive ensemble cast but it's been in development hell for a really long time and it's being distributed by Netflix so the red flags are there if you want to wave your white one. Hopefully everyone dies, especially Charlie Hunnam because fuck that guy am I right?. Stick around as a fly on the wall for the roundtable and don't forget that we don't really care if you do or not.

Night Shyamalan returns with Glass and let's be frank - the man is all about giving 110% all the god damn time. Will you give 110% by sticking around for the thick and juicy banter during the roundtable?
Join us as we explore the deep for episode 109 and evaluate whether Aquaman has any real value as a superhero. The Mule is an offensive description for a 90 year old man and is also in the Teeter. We also bring back the Court of Social Justice to talk about elder abuse and identifying as a Mer-Person.
