In this episode, Jenn Witmer (Wit's wife!), and I tunnel deep into the rabbit hole of feminism, the “tradwife” movement, and what it truly means to be given the responsibility of being the keeper of our homes. Along the way, we examine what God's Word has to say about our roles at home as Christian women and why this standard must be our guide, regardless of how loud the voices of our world become. We also tackle the myth of a one-size-fits-all approach to domestic responsibility—priorities principles over particulars and giving boots-on-the-ground suggestions for how to discover a way to keep your home that truly blessed your unique family.Sponsor Info:Summit MinistriesFind Out More About Summit Here!Use This Link For $400 Off Summit Registration (Before March 31st)Good Book MomCODE: ABBIE5CODE: ABBIE75 for all access yearly subscription for $75Voetberg Music AcademyCheck Out Voetberg Music Academy HereCode: misformama20Mentions:The Gentleness ChallengeBible References:Titus 2:3-51 Thessalonians 5:16-171 Corinthians 10:312 Timothy 3:16-17Matthew 25:14-30Proverbs 31:28Matthew 20:16John 3:30John 15:13Galatians 6:9Isaiah 55:11Hebrews 4:122 Peter 1:31 Timothy 6:121 Corinthians 9:24Romans 7:15-20Links:The Gentleness ChallengePenny Reward SystemPaint & ProseM Is for MamaPenny Reward System
One of my biggest FAQs is, “How do you survive and thrive when you have only littles?” Followed closely by, “How do you find balance and meet the needs of so many different ages when you're mothering multiple stages?” And finally, “How do you adjust to being needed less and losing some of your primary role in your kids' lives as they age?”Clearly, moms are hungry for solid principles on which to build their motherhood skills at every stage and age. While this episode is hardly an exhaustive study of how to engage with every phase our children might go through, it is a great jumping off point for biblical truths that will serve you well as your children grow, and your role changes. Be encouraged that the Lord is not surprised by any mothering challenge you face, and He is faithful to equip you with just what you need just when you need it. As the Psalmist expressed in Psalm 119, a heart grounded in God's Word learns to delight in His commandments and trust His plans. When we pray with this mindset, our requests become less about personal gain and more about living lives that honor and reflect His will.01/16/2025 - Thursday NightScriptures:Psalm 119:33-40Matthew 7:13Galatians 5:19-21Psalm 10:3Mark 7:21Luke 12:15Ephesians 5:3, 5Colossians 3:5I Timothy 6:9Hebrews 13:5II Peter 2:14Psalm 119:20, 43, 75 (ESV) Psalm 19:9 (ESV)Deuteronomy 4:8 (ESV)

Cain posed one of the ultimate Christian living questions when he asked: "Am I my brother's keeper?" We are instructed not only to care about our own salvation but to be concerned with what helps others to be saved. One who becomes a stumbling block to their brother is guilty of sin against his brother and God.06/15/2023 - Thursday NightScriptures Used (In Order of Occurrence):Genesis 4:9I Corinthians 8:1-9I Corinthians 10:25-28I Corinthians 8:12I Thessalonians 5:22Matthew 22:37Romans 14:1-21Galatians 6:2Romans 15:1Romans 14:13Galatians 5:13-14

Today we are going to talk about the topic of love. And what is the love that God talks about in the scripture. In the New Testament there are two words in the Greek of the New Testament, referring to loved one is the Greek word phileo, which refers to brotherly love the second is the Greek word Agape, which is a particular type of Love That demands obedience, obedience to God. The Obedience to the word obedience to righteousness, for righteousness has sake. It says in the scripture Christ so loved the father that he was obedient even unto death, hear the word for love is agape. Notice that the love that Christ had to the father was a love that was rooted in faithfulness and obedience even unto death in Matthew 22:37-39 we read: Jesus said unto him "you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.Listen for more...Scripture referenced:Matthew 22:37-39, 24:12John 8:42, 10:17, 13:34-35, 14:23, 15:9-131 Corinthians chapter 13Galatians 2:20, 5:13Romans 5:8Ephesians 4:2, 6:241 John: 4:8-16, 5:2-3Jude 1:21For more Free books, Sunday teachings and bible studies, please visit us at: https://www.walkinginpower.orgDr. Bern Zumpano is a Pastor and Teacher of the Word of God who has authored several books on Spirit-filled living through relationship with Jesus Christ and walking in the Power of the Holy Spirit. Serving in the ChurchPastor Trinity Opp Acts 6:1-7 But as the believers rapidly multiplied, there were rumblings of discontent. The Greek-speaking believers complained about the Hebrew-speaking believers, saying that their widows were being discriminated against in the daily distribution of food. So the Twelve called a meeting of all the believers. They said, “We apostles should spend our time teaching the word of God, not running a food program. And so, brothers, select seven men who are well respected and are full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will give them this responsibility. Then we apostles can spend our time in prayer and teaching the word.” Everyone liked this idea, and they chose the following: Stephen (a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit), Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas of Antioch (an earlier convert to the Jewish faith). These seven were presented to the apostles, who prayed for them as they laid their hands on them. So God's message continued to spread. The number of believers greatly increased in Jerusalem, and many of the Jewish priests were converted, too. 1. Growing pains can lead to many problems in the church. (v. 1) 2. A ministry plan is necessary to address the many needs of the church. (v. 2-3) 3. The success of a ministry plan is dependent on the priorities of the church. (v. 2-4) 4. People in the church are to share in the ministry responsibilities of the church. (v. 5-7) Challenge: When you see a need in the church that you can fill, give yourself to meeting that need. Each person serving in the church is critical to the health and well-being of the church. God, please help us understand how important we are to the function of our church family. Fill us with the Holy Spirit, wisdom, faith, God's grace, and power so we may serve you effectively whenever and wherever you call us. Amen. In Episode 97, we talk about the first part of a mini-series where we recall Jesus' earthly existence. Excluding the act of sin, Jesus is identical to us in every way –human body, heart, intellect, and volition. He matured and grew. He felt hunger, thirst, weariness, and the complete spectrum of human emotions. As a human being, he also serves as a paradigm for real human obedience. How exactly did Jesus live out his spiritual life? Did he always have God's word and the Holy Spirit bestowed upon him from birth? It's important that we acknowledge this in theology as not only does it gives us a correct understanding of Christ, it also gives us a correct understanding of our own lives as Christians and what it means to walk with him.
