Telegram Link: https://t.me/+ByNAj_cW_EdjZmIx Covers sports betting preview written by Jason Logan: https://www.covers.com/nfl/season-preview-for-every-team-2022-23 Circa Millions Contest Details: Circa | Sports Million IV Pro Football Contest - Circa | Sports (circasports.com) 1. For a team priced as high as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are, there seems to be an awful lot of questions. What happened to Brady for 11 days during training camp? What will happen with Chris Godwin? Can the Buccaneers fill the hole of Gronkowski retiring? Will Todd Bowles be a flop - again - moving to the HC role? There are many missing pieces. 2. Perhaps no missing pieces are more important than the offensive line. Alex Kappa and Ali Marpet departed. Ryan Jensen got hurt at center. His backup got hurt the next week. Tristian Wirfs is banged up too. Nearly the entire OL unit will have turned over or has a new starter going into the opening of this season. 3. If Brady is dealing with something we are uncertain about, the offensive line regresses and the weapons take a step back from a season ago, this is a team that is drastically over priced at 11.5 wins, even within the easy NFC. 4. If there is one point of confidence it is the defense which is loaded up front, especially with the addition of Hicks. Running the ball on the Buccaneers will be tough again and the secondary will be above average. But to what level must this unit play again if the offensive production is reduced? Not sure how anyone can go over 11.5 with the Buccaneers or be looking to back them consistently in the 15 games they are favored in.
Kyler Murray feels disrespected with the notion that he doesn't study or prepare well...and the team has removed the independent study clause from his contract. How much of this falls on the Cardinals for making this a more complex situation than it needed to be? Lamar Jackson is hoping a deal gets done before the regular season begins. Is this an ultimatum that he will hold out segment 2 in hour 1 is when we discuss. In segment 3 Tim Mcmanus, ESPN Eagles Reporter joins the show to discuss Jalen Hurts, A.J Brown and the surrounding parts for the Eagles. Lastly in segment 4 Ryan Jensen will be out for months for the Bucs. They have already lost Ali Marpet and Alex Cappa…and have a 45-year old Brady behind the line. Roy Cummings, a Tampa Bay Buccaneers insider for pewterpirates.com, joined the show to discuss the Bucs' interior offensive line issues. Alex Cappa's departure, Ali Marpet's retirement and Ryan Jensen's injury have gutted Tampa Bay on the interior.

Trey Downey and Len Martez are back with another edition of Downey and Martez. This week the guys deal with the shocker that Ali Marpet is retiring. Trey and Len share some of their favorite memories of the Pro Bowl Guard and discuss how this news could impact the Buccaneers off-season plan. It was then time to dive into all of the news from the combine. The guys started with Bruce Arians comments that Jason Pierre-Paul and Ndamukong Suh both plan to play in 2022. They then tackled Jason Licht's comments on Carlton Davis and Jordan Whitehead. Len then told you why he thinks Bruce Arians comments on Jameis Winston mean you can cross the former Bucs QB off the list as a possibility to start 2022 in Tampa. Bruce Arians and Jason Licht spoke to the media at the NFL Scouting Combine and stressed the importance of Chris Godwin and his role in the offense. Now, Pewter Report is reporting that Godwin will not go anywhere and although a deal isn't completely done, it's on the way.Not only that, but the Buccaneers may be out of the quarterback trade market given the cost of the players and teams' desire to not let go of a proven commodity. So where does that leave the Bucs for 2022? All aboard the Blaine Train? Members of Kyle's Krewe? And would rolling with one of those guys in 2022 be the worst thing in the world? Finally, there was plenty of chatter around the desire to re-sign Ryan Jensen and Alex Cappa now that Ali Marpet is out the door. Could the Bucs find themselves in a situation where a team like the Cincinnati Bengals would over pay for Jensen's services in order to protect Joe Burrow?Follow & Subscribe to the Locked On Bucs Podcast on these platforms…Apple: https://apple.co/3iOePFkSpotify: https://spoti.fi/3BwlScYAudacy: https://bit.ly/3FAcIhVGoogle: https://bit.ly/2X0IEdSMegaphone: https://bit.ly/3uZOcSoFollow Locked On Podcast Network on Twitter: https://twitter.com/LockedOnNetworkCheck out all of our NFL Coverage: linktr.ee/lockedonnflFollow James on Twitter: https://twitter.com/JYarcho_BUCSFollow David on Twitter: https://twitter.com/DHarrison82Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!Built BarBuilt Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. Joe and Shawn are back to record some more offseason thoughts. First, they discuss the saga that Kyler Murray and his agent have started with the Arizona Cardinals. After that, they talk about the sudden retirement of Ali Marpet. Then, they get into the absolute insanity that is the Dallas Cowboys. They quickly discuss the announcements of the international games and the home teams. Lastly, they end the episode by going over the Dolphins apparent "master plan" and a quick tangent about the Denver Broncos being tied to John Elway. We have some sad personal news. The Buccaneers lose another key piece in Ali Marpet, who announced his retirement Sunday after seven years with the team. It makes it all the more vital we re-sign free agents Alex Cappa, Aaron Stinnie and Ryan Jensen to ensure continuity on the offensive line. Buccaneers staff writer and social media personality Carmen Vitali has announced her departure from the team. It is unclear where Carmen will head next, but we wish her the best. Is this a rebuild? Please, God. No. We discuss quarterback options going forward. The Buccaneers picked up Devin White's fifth year option. Tom Brady announces his next project: a movie starring himself, Jane Fonda, Sally Field and others. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/buccaneers-observer/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/buccaneers-observer/support

Another month comes to a close that leads us to a brand new episode #240 delivering everything that's happening in the world of sports. On deck: (4:12) A couple of housekeeping notes to begin the podcast. First, acknowledging the horrific events that are taking place in Ukraine. Second, on the eve of the podcast's fourth anniversary, I give a shout out to my supporters with a heads up on a couple of changes to the format in the weeks to come. (7:12) MLB is up against the clock as it tries to hammer down a new collective bargaining agreement by midnight tonight. If not, the start of the baseball season will be delayed. Which side is yours truly on? Will the players blink? How will this play out? (19:12) The two big stories in the NBA are focused on both the momentum of the Sixers and Nets. No, not just because of their blockbuster trade a few weeks ago, but the early returns of the James Harden/Joel Embiid marriage is going as wonderful as expected. Can this Sixer team rely on how Harden performs in May and June, not February and March? As for Kyrie Irving possibly coming back to start in home games, Kevin Durant about to come off the injured list and the long awaited debut of Ben Simmons, the Nets could look to rebound and get close to the top of the Eastern Conference if all falls right. Plus, I have some chatter on the Suns without Chris Paul. Can Devin Booker be the leader that his team needs in CP3's absence? What about the Lakers? Will they even qualify for the play-in tournament? I wrap up with the disappointment that is the Knicks. (38:05) A historic day in NCAA Men's Basketball took place on Saturday as seven of the top 10 teams, including the top SIX teams in the nation, all lost. Is it early to tell who'll be the top four seeds in the country come tournament time? Is this year as wide open as we've ever seen in the sport? Is there such thing as a Cinderella story? (45:53) Are the two time back to back Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning flying under the radar? Sounds crazy, but I'll explain. Also, I'll show some love to Islanders D Zdeno Chara for becoming the all time games played by a defenseman in league history. With the trade deadline just three weeks away, it'll be interesting to see which teams will acquire key pieces to a championship puzzle. (56:03) There was a surprise retirement announcement over the weekend that Buccaneers Pro Bowl G, Ali Marpet, called it a career after seven seasons in the NFL. Early retirements have played a huge part in the league over the course of the last decade or so. Should this come as a shock to the football fan? I'll also share some sad news as two former NFL offensive players have passed away over the past week (Oilers WR Ken Burrough and Chargers RB Lionel James) (1:01:34) I have a few words on Phil Mickelson, who was my Zero of last week, as sponsors have severed ties based on his comments from an excerpt of a book that's being released that were derogatory towards the people of Saudi Arabia. (1:03:35) To close out, my Hero and Zero of the Week. Locked On Bucs – Daily Podcast On The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Fans
If you thought the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would come out with more energy and purpose in Week 9 against the New Orleans Saints than they did in Week 8 against the New York Giants, you were wrong. Instead, the now 6-3 Bucs seemed to come out with even less motivation and a much weaker game plan as they sought out sole possession of first place in the NFC South leading to a 38-3 defeat at the hand of Drew Brees and Company. In the loss, Tampa Bay accomplished something Tom Brady has never had happen in his career, Mike Evans continues to under produce comparative to his status as an elite receiver, and the addition of Antonio Brown certainly didn't help clear up throwing opportunities. The absence of Ali Marpet was also apparent as the Buccaneers offensive line had a hard time stopping the likes of Cam Jordan, Marcus Davenport and Trey Hendrickson. Meanwhile, the Tampa Bay running backs (Ronald Jones II and Leonard Fournette) combined for fewer touches all game than Alvin Kamara had for New Orleans in the first half alone. Plenty to discuss, and James Yarcho and David Harrison of SB Nation (BucsNation.com) are here to unpack it all, on today's episode of the Locked On Bucs Podcast!Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!
