В тегах значатся авторы Roman Miroshnichenko, Sergei Filatov, Daniel Figueiredo & Daniel Figueiredo Lacerda, Nick Rostov, Vladimir Martynov & Roman Maksimovich Miroshnichenko. Charlie Bisharat). I play solo at Hugh O'Neill's in Malden, and several shows with my bandmates, The Boston Harbor Bhoys (Waltham Sr. Center, Medford's Ford Tavern, Framingham Elks fundraiser, Quincy's Assembly, and Boston's Green Dragon). So many songs, so many memories. I loved playing Hugh O'Neill's, where a table of young people requested The Saw Doctor's "N17" and ran out from their tables on the refrain each time to shout out "and the grass is green!". To the Sr Center in Waltham where the ENTIRE room of 100 people got all the hand - claps right on "Wild Rover" by the 2nd refrain, and the beautiful emotions expressed from our rendition of Danny Boy. To guests at the Framingham elks getting up to do all the dance moves to "The unicorn song", to seeing old fans from the South Shore of Boston that we haven't seen in 4 years requesting "Raglan Road", to jumping around The Green Dragon with my harmonica and tambourine leading hand claps on 'Finnegan's Wake" getting the whole bar clapping together. Agh, it was all so wonderful, went through a range of song styles and eras in the Celtic music catalogue, and it was wonderful connecting with audiences from the 20's up to their 90's, who all appreciated the music and experience in their own ways. It was one for the books! “

On this special throwback episode of Tent Show Radio, Different Drums of Ireland take the stage for a celebratory performance showcasing Irelands unique indigenous sounds and rich cultural diversity. Different Drums of Ireland was created in Derry, Northern Ireland in 1991 as an exercise to use art and music as a vehicle to do something positive in the community. Different Drums of Ireland celebrates the musical traditions, customs, and sounds of that wee part of the world, crossing boundaries in an effort to promote peace and unity. Primarily a joint celebration of the Bodhrán and the Lambeg, drums seen as representative of the Nationalist and Unionist cultures respectively in Ireland, Different Drums of Ireland play a unique form of Irish music which also borrows from other cultures. Influenced by the Kodo drummers from Japan, they explore a wide variety of percussive sounds as the employ the African Djembe drum for the rhythmic engine of the band and you'll also hear the high-tension snare and various other percussion from around the world. As Different Drums of Ireland, Roy Arbuckle, Stevie Matier, Dolores O'Hare, Paul Marshall, & Richard Campbell have played across the world, for everyone from US & Irish presidents to school children. Their performances are a unique celebration of cultural diversity and linkages - the sound and passion of Different Drums of Ireland is something truly unique and unforgettable.     EPISODE CREDITSMichael Perry - Host Phillip Anich - Announcer Gina Nagro - Marketing Support FOLLOW BIG TOP CHAUTAUQUA https://www.facebook.com/bigtopchautauqua/ https://www.instagram.com/bigtopchautauqua/ https://www.tiktok.com/@bigtopchautauqua https://twitter.com/BigBlueTent FOLLOW HOST MICHAEL PERRYhttps://sneezingcow.com/ https://www.facebook.com/sneezingcow https://www.instagram.com/sneezingcow/ https://twitter.com/sneezingcow/ 2024 TENT SHOW RADIO SPONSORSAshland Area Chamber of Commerce - https://www.visitashland.com/    Bayfield Chamber and Visitor Bureau - https://www.bayfield.org/  Bayfield County Tourism - https://www.bayfieldcounty.wi.gov/150/Tourism  The Bayfield Inn - https://bayfieldinn.com/  Cable Area Chamber of Commerce - https://www.cable4fun.com/  Kylmala Truss - https://www.kylmalatruss.com/ SPECIAL THANKSWisconsin Public Radio - https://www.wpr.org/

The proverbial tables are turned on this week's episode of In The Lamplight as Kieran becomes the interviewee. Rory and Luke ask him all the tough questions, questions like "Why did your football friends call you five-ninety?" and "How do you feel about your brother beating you every year in the Warrior's Run?", a statement that Kieran assures us isn't true. The episode opens with a longer intro, a full-fledged piece of music newly written by Kieran and based off our theme music. Rory and Luke present Kieran with their best attempt at poetry before diving into the questions.Rory takes the reigns to ask Kieran about sport. Kieran discusses finding his passion for sport, what it meant to him to be involved in various teams over the years and how it brought him a sense of community and belonging. We listen to the original studio recording of Kieran's composition "The Match", a tune co-written with Steve Wickham, also featuring Junior Davey on the Bodhrán. Kieran wrote the tune after being challenged to write a piece that combined his love of music with his passion for sport.Luke takes over to ask Kieran about all things music. From the lightbulb moment that ignited his desire to play the piano again to his methods as a music teacher, Kieran offers up insights into his thoughts on music in general and its place in his life. He talks about his realisation that he didn't want to do anything else with his life and that music was his calling and how he forged a career as a professional musician.Kieran performs an original piece called "Something Beautiful" alongside Niamh Crowley on the violin. The piece, along with many more from various well-known Sligo artists and performers, will be featured in an upcoming two-part show called "Not A Theme Night", details of which are available on the Hawk's Well Theatre's website.Wrapping up, Rory asks Kieran how he found his way back to Sligo after a well-travelled youth. They discuss Kieran's Teenage Theme Nights and the importance of presenting young people with the opportunity to grow and develop through music.Eoin Troy features on this week's "In The Rantlight" segment with his breakdown of an epidemic that's been plaguing the music industry for some years now...the dreaded Curly Vowels.
