The investigation of Ted Bundy did not end with his arrest. It continued through three trials, nine years on death row, and a final week of confessions that produced more questions than answers. The Chi Omega trial, Miami, June 1979: the first American criminal trial broadcast nationally, gavel to gavel. Over two hundred and fifty reporters. Forensic dentist Dr. Richard Souviron walked a jury through the bite mark evidence that matched Bundy's teeth to the wound on Lisa Levy. Guilty on all counts. Death sentence. Judge Cowart's address from the bench — calling the man he had just condemned a bright young man — remains one of the strangest moments in American courtroom history. The Kimberly Leach trial, Orlando, January 1980: Bundy proposed to Carole Ann Boone on the witness stand with a notary present, exploiting a Florida legal quirk. He was convicted and sentenced to death a third time.On death row, he spoke to journalists Michaud and Aynesworth for hundreds of hours but would only profile the killer in the third person. FBI Agent Bill Hagmaier began visiting in 1986.In January 1989, with no appeals remaining, Bundy summoned detectives from Washington, Utah, Colorado, and Idaho. He gave Bob Keppel the Washington names. Dennis Couch the Utah names. Mike Fisher the Colorado names. He described locations. When Hagmaier asked if thirty-six was closer, Bundy said: add one more digit.Pronounced dead at 7:16 on January 24, 1989. The night before, he gave a final interview to James Dobson blaming violent material since boyhood. It was tailored for the audience. This is the fifth and final conversation in Ted Bundy: History's Hidden Killers. The investigations that continued after the arrest — and the answers the country never got.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? www.patreon.com/theconspiracypodcastPart 1 was the rise. This is the fall.We pick up in the '90s, when the world that had made Michael Jackson started turning on him. The tabloids had a field day. The hyperbaric chamber. The Elephant Man's bones. A baby dangled off a balcony in Berlin. One by one, the story of the greatest entertainer who ever lived began to curdle into something else entirely. Then came the allegations.A dentist who drugged his own kid to get a confession. A $20 million demand to stay quiet. A 2003 documentary that aired to 48 million people and changed everything. A trial with 14 counts, a circus outside the courthouse, and a jury that came back not guilty — on every single one.And then, four years later, a rented mansion in Holmby Hills. A doctor on his phone with a cocktail waitress. A call to 911 that came 90 minutes too late. And the most famous human being on earth, gone at 50.We get into the death, the theories, the $400 million lawsuit still pending, and the question nobody has a clean answer to — was it negligence, a cash grab, a conspiracy, or all three? We also give you our takes. The one skill that torments many Scent Work teams is the handler's ability to correctly read their dog. There is so much on the line! Getting a "No" when training is bad enough but hearing the dreaded “No” at a trial, that is so much worse! It can feel as though the floor is collapsing out from under you. Thus, it makes sense that people clamor for a definitive neon sign from their dog, “HIDE IS HERE, CALL IT!” However, this approach is limiting. We are missing a far more intricate picture our dogs are trying to paint for us when we are only obsessed about the hide location. In this episode, we talk about why taking the time to truly learn what our dogs are communicating throughout the entirety of the search, as well as in day-to-day life, is not only worthwhile but fun to do! Reid Carter concludes the Ted Bundy series with his January 24, 1989 execution at Florida State Prison. Bundy spent final night chain-smoking, refusing last meal, meeting with his mother for last time. 7:00 AM: Strapped into Old Sparky—Florida's electric chair. Last words: "Jim and Fred, I'd like you to give my love to my family and friends." 7:16 AM: 2,000 volts sent through his body for one minute. Pronounced dead. Outside prison, crowd of 500 celebrated with signs reading "Burn Bundy Burn" and "Tuesday is Fry-Day." Victims' families watched, some relieved, others still haunted by what he took from them.Unlock an ad-free podcast experience with Caloroga Shark Media! Finally! A Lancaster County episode, about "America's Coolest Small Town," "Pennsylvania's Best Small Town To Retire In," a place with "a downtown dripping with charm": Lititz, Pennsylvania. I grew up not far away, and I'm pretty familiar with Lititz. For instance, Josh Kauffman, the brewer I interviewed at Rooster Street Butcher? I already knew him, and his parents, and his grandparents...even his great-grand-dad. We'll dig into the history of this town, deeply linked to the same Moravian church that shaped Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. It's that kind of episode, but don't worry; you'll feel like part of the family when we're done. We make other stops too, like the world-class beer bar, the Bulls Head Public House, the insanely varied and wonderful coffee at Whiff Roasters, America's oldest pretzel maker, Julius Sturgis, and the chocolate cake that makes me nostalgic at the Brickerville House. What else? Well, What I'm Drinking Today is a throwback to the very first episode: once again, I'm having Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale. Love that stuff. The Smack Dab In The Centre segment is about the upcoming Christmas celebrations in Bellefonte (and you better get your train tickets pretty soon!). I maybe mention my new book, American Whiskey Master Class, a few times, too, but come on, it's a great gift for your whiskey-loving friends! Next episode will be the first of this year's string of holiday episodes, a combination Thanksgiving and foraging episode, complete with interviews with a forester who forages mushrooms, walnuts, hickory nuts, and paw paws; and a friend who forages for the joy of it. Hailing from Kissimmee, Florida by way of Brooklyn and North Carolina, JayyRobb defies every label that tried to define him. He's an Inspirational Rap Artist, dynamic public speaker, and spiritual storyteller who uses his voice to turn pain into purpose, tragedy into triumph, and lyrics into lifelines. JayyRobb's music is built on a foundation of faith and resilience. He's not your typical Christian rapper—he's a bold, truth-telling voice for those walking through fire, fusing hard-earned wisdom with gritty beats and raw, unfiltered testimony. His style is uniquely his own, driven by a deep walk with God and a passion to uplift, not preach. Whether he's on stage or in the studio, JayyRobb brings healing, honesty, and hope. Born James Robert Wexler, JayyRobb is a living miracle. Pronounced dead six times before the age of two, he beat medical odds, overcame street violence (including being shot at age 10), survived the loss of loved ones, and battled deep depression and homelessness. Each chapter of pain only sharpened his purpose. After surrendering his life to Christ, JayyRobb chose music and ministry over the streets, and now pours his experiences into every verse with authenticity and purpose. With powerful singles like “God's Got Me” ft. LeeLee, “Tame Da Tongue,” and new releases “Take A Step Back” and “My Past Life,” JayyRobb's highly anticipated album “Blessed” is set to solidify his place as a transformative artist. No stranger to the spotlight, JayyRobb has also showcased his talent as an actor, appearing in major productions such as Deep Blue Sea, American Gladiator, Sharknado 3, and classic Nickelodeon shows. His natural charisma and presence light up every screen, making him a standout both in music and film. But through it all, his mission remains the same: As JayyRobb says: “If I can change just one person's world, that's enough to make it all worth it.” JayyRobb is proof that broken pieces can build powerful legacies. His life, his music, and his mission are all testaments to the power of perseverance, faith, and fire-forged destiny. The world needs more artists like JayyRobb—unapologetic, unfiltered, and unstoppable.

Summer in 2025 is here - and after one of the sunniest and driest Springs on record, we enter the long days and sultry nights with the garden looking glorious but always looking to the horizon for a little bit of rain to keep things looking green and lush. Herbaceous borders are set to maximum colour, vegetable beds seem to multiply in growth weekly and the gardeners tan is ever present. So enjoy the long summer days, take some time to appreciate time in your garden and join the Talking Heads pair as they continue to look after the spaces they are in charge of, as well as enjoying their gardens at home. How has the years warm and dry weather effected the productivity of our plots - well Lucy went to find out when she visited the Fothergills Trial Ground open day where they grow 1500 varieties of flowers, veg and fruit to show case their seed varieties. The picture is obviously mixed with some crops enjoying the temperatures while others struggling to get going, a similar picture back home at our gardens. We also look into some more 'Horticultural News' both sad and positive - including the new Adam Greathead Award for aspiring gardeners to gain valuable experience at John Massey Gardens, Ashwood Nursery and Great Dixter.Instagram link:Lucy lucychamberlaingardensLinkedIn link:Saul WalkerIntro and Outro music from https://filmmusic.io"Fireflies and Stardust" by Kevin MacLeod (https://incompetech.com)License: CC BY (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/)Support the show

A new MP3 sermon from The Narrated Puritan is now available on SermonAudio with the following details: Title: The Books Opened, The Sentence Pronounced and Executed Subtitle: The Final Judgment Speaker: Jonathan Edwards Broadcaster: The Narrated Puritan Event: Audiobook Date: 8/3/2025 Length: 25 min.
The sentence will be pronounced. Christ will say to the wicked on the left hand, "Depart, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels." How dreadful will these words of the judge be to the poor, miserable, despairing wretches on the left hand! How amazing will every syllable of them be! How will they pierce them to the soul! These words show the greatest wrath and abhorrence. Christ will bid them depart. He will send them away from his presence, will remove them forever far out of his sight, into an everlasting separation from God, as being most loathsome, and unfit to dwell in his presence, and enjoy communion with him. Christ will call them cursed. Depart, ye cursed, to whom everlasting wrath and ruin belong, who are by your own wickedness prepared for nothing else, but to be firebrands of hell, who are the fit objects and vessels of the vengeance and fury of the Almighty. Into fire. He will not send them away merely into a loathsome prison, the receptacle of the filth and rubbish of the universe. But into a furnace of fire.

Vanessa Cominsky joins Case and Sam to RAGE against this awkward historical epic! Overview Podcast hosts Case Aiken and Sam Alicea provide a framework for discussing the 2004 film Troy, highlighting its connection to early 2000s epic films like Gladiator and 300. Vanessa Cominsky, a guest and classics major, notes a 4-year professional bond with Case stemming from shared academic interests. David Benioff, the film's screenwriter, is discussed in relation to his later work on Game of Thrones and identified issues in narrative depth. Whitewashing criticism surfaces regarding the film's predominantly white cast, despite its story set in a historically diverse region. Analysis reveals a lack of clear passage of time, compressing the depicted 10-year Trojan War into a brief narrative span. Costume design receives praise for historical accuracy while the film's runtime discrepancies are critiqued, with the director's cut deemed excessive. Thematic exploration includes Agamemnon's characterization as a villain symbolizing US imperialism, contrasting with sympathetic portrayals of the Trojans. Sean Bean's potential as Odysseus is noted but criticized for underutilization, while Peter O'Toole's Priam provides limited but impactful performance. Improvement suggestions include altering the title to better reflect Achilles' journey and revising the narrative structure to enhance character development. Upcoming initiatives include a scholarship program for women in wine, launched by Vanessa Cominsky's nonprofit Vin Vitalite in 2025. @vminsky @womenofwinedc Www.vinVitalité.org (Pronounced vinn vitahlihtay) Notes ️ Podcast Introduction & Setup (00:00 - 02:45) Hosts Case Aiken and Sam Alicea introduce the 'Another Pass' podcast, discussing movie analysis and improvements. Guest Vanessa Cominsky introduced as Case's coworker from wine/spirits industry and fellow classics major. Discussion of 4-year professional relationship and bonding over classics background. Movie Context & Background (02:45 - 09:38) Analysis of 2004 film Troy as adaptation loosely based on oral tradition. Discussion of movie within context of early 2000s epic films including Gladiator, 300, and Lord of the Rings trilogy. David Benioff identified as screenwriter, connecting to later Game of Thrones writing style issues. Observation that Odysseus character tells audience he's clever but never demonstrates intelligence in actual scenes. Political interpretation: movie reflects 2004 centrist liberal perspective on Middle Eastern conflicts with 'support the troops' messaging. Film Production & Casting Analysis (09:38 - 19:22) Vanessa's personal connection: used movie for high school Latin convention project and senior thesis. Whitewashing criticism - movie depicts conflict between Greece and Middle East with entirely white cast. Brad Pitt as main marketing draw playing Achilles in peak popularity period. Case's viewing experience in Rome during classics trip, creating nostalgic connection to material. Story Structure & Adaptation Choices (19:22 - 28:32) Movie covers broader Trojan War story rather than just Iliad, including Trojan Horse sequence not in original epic. Brian Cox as Agamemnon praised as perfect casting choice despite whitewashing issues. Discussion of movie's approach to gods - humans take credit for actions rather than divine intervention. ️ Character Analysis - Heroes and Villains (28:32 - 38:14) Agamemnon positioned as main villain representing US imperialism, while Trojans portrayed sympathetically. Hector vs Achilles juxtaposition works well as respective champions of each side. Orlando Bloom as Paris criticized as too whiny and lacking roguish charm needed for character. Eric Bana as Hector praised as everyone's 'big brother' figure and moral center. Production Design & Technical Elements (38:14 - 47:42) Costume design highly praised for historical accuracy and visual distinction between Greeks and Trojans. Director's cut vs theatrical cut - director's cut too long at 3 hours 16 minutes with unnecessary gore. Runtime issues - theatrical cut feels rushed while director's cut is excessive. War Portrayal & Geographic Issues (47:43 - 56:37) Time compression problem - 10-year war feels like weeks or months with no passage of time indicated. Troy's geography poorly established - unclear city layout and siege logistics. Siege warfare portrayed as single-direction battle rather than comprehensive blockade. Thematic Elements & Religious Context (56:38 - 01:05:46) Gods' role minimized to hint at divine influence without direct intervention. Moral philosophy embedded in Achilles-Briseis conversations about mortality and divinity. Historical accuracy questioned regarding Bronze Age vs Classical Greek terminology and social structures. Casting and Performance Critique (01:05:46 - 01:15:32) Sean Bean as Odysseus underutilized despite perfect casting choice. Peter O'Toole as Priam noted as big casting choice but limited screen time. James Cosmo casting questioned as underused Trojan general. Improvement Proposals - Sam's Pitch (01:15:32 - 01:26:16) Title change to 'The Wrath of Achilles' to better reflect actual story focus. Sean Bean expansion - more scenes showing passage of time and war strategy. Runtime reduction - cut Trojan perspective to focus on Greek side and Achilles' journey. Narrative structure - use Odysseus as storyteller/narrator rather than voiceover. Improvement Proposals - Vanessa's Pitch (01:26:16 - 01:36:20) Scope change to focus on Achilles from moment Odysseus recruits him. Character development - establish Greek power structure and vassal relationships. Agamemnon characterization - emphasize him as villain representing imperialism more clearly. Improvement Proposals - Casey's Pitch (01:36:20 - 01:45:13) Geographic clarity - establish Troy's layout and siege positioning with additional CG shots. Time passage - visual indicators and dialogue establishing years-long conflict. Battle variety - different environments including sea battles and raids on surrounding areas. Violence balance - between theatrical cut's sanitization and director's cut's excess. Final Discussion & Wrap-up (01:45:13 - 02:05:58) David Benioff background revealed as Goldman Sachs executive's son, explaining Hollywood access. Vanessa's organization - Vin Vitalite, DC women in wine industry nonprofit with 501(c)(3) status. Scholarship program launching 2025 for women in wine industry. Next episode preview - Highlander 2: The Quickening.

When we're talking about a small book for teaching children to read, or really any short book that introduces a topic, there are two competing pronunciations of the word for that book.
This week, the Bandwagon is stripped down again as the dynamic duo of Dave and Tunney guide you through the week around the Nerdosphere. Netflix had its annual fan event and mega-preview party, Tudum. The event has become notorious for dumping a slew of trailers for almost all of Netflix's upcoming projects for the next 9-12 months. This year was no exception, and we received trailers for eagerly anticipated projects like Frankenstein, Squid Game Season 3, Happy Gilmore 2, and the long-awaited announcement about Stranger Things Season 5, along with the release dates for the separate volumes of the final season. Amazon Prime, not wanting to be left out, dropped a trailer for Season 2 of Gen V. The guys then examine the significant drop in viewers for the season finale of The Last of Us and question whether the series could be at risk of cancellation. This fate befell another popular franchise as The Wheel of Time was canceled by Prime. Are there hidden similarities between the two shows that should concern fans of HBO Max's most popular series of all time? As if HBO Max didn't have enough problems, we've been informed that the three lead roles for the Harry Potter reboot have been cast. Do these kids stand a chance, or will they be crushed by the inevitable comparison to the original three actors from the movie franchise? In much better news, though, DC and Marvel Comics are on the verge of releasing the first crossover event in over 20 years. With the two comics' super-powers working together, Dave and Tunney ponder what other crossovers they might want to see. @AttitudeAgg@WrestlngRealist@itsReyCash@PCTunney@itsmedpp@ViolentAesop@TheMindlessPod@therealcplatt@ChairshotMedia@BandwagonNerdsPROWRESTLINGTEES.COM/TheChairshot - Makes a GREAT GIFT!!!About Bandwagon NerdsJoin Patrick O'Dowd, David Ungar, PC Tunney, Rey Cash, and DPP as they keep everyone up on all things nerd and maybe add some new nerds along the way. Things Discussed: Bryce Spring Review: Underwood actually made some JJ throws. Players who stood out on film review: Deyvid Palepale, more impressed with Jalen Hoffman, Avery Gach (pronounced "Gatch") had lots of +2s and –2s, Jordan Young is always around the ball, made the 4th & 1 stuff. OL thoughts by position: RT & RG: Sprague and Efobi were moving people—impressive when they do it Benny, not so much Bobby Kanka. Efobi is the high ceiling/high floor option, could be Hattar or Link. Gach was getting shoved backwards by Chibi Anwunah, who might be good. Think the battle in fall is Efobi the ceiling, Hattar the floor, Link the wild card. LT: ew. When Sam said Michigan should go in the portal for a tackle in spring that wasn't a hopeful statement, and that's how it worked out. Link is a D+, Babalola needs a redshirt, Brady Norton isn't going to happen, period. Ty Haywood, Blake Frazier might compete. Frazier was supposed to a 2-year build and it's been one year, so not expecting that yet. The way Gentry played out last year might have cost them their best option. C: Crippen has the job. Guarnera looked good but had some –2s in there. Strayhorn looked big and athletic but completely lost—at one point he stops mid-pull. WR: McCulley looked good on his one catch, a lot of opportunities to turn around and make a play when they didn't, think Goodwin is a fine 4th or 5th receiver. Semaj has been open, needs QBs to hit him. Haven't seen these guys with good quarterbacking yet so who knows: Bell, Moore, Morgan, Marsh—they could all be good and we wouldn't know yet. QB: We want to get Underwood running more—that 3rd read should be running not throwing a contested ball. RPOs: We're gonna see a lot more of them this year under Chip Lindsey, which means we'll see more man coverage, which then gets back to the receivers and who can win 1-on-1. CB: The flipside is JoJo Edmond was the guy in coverage on a lot of those passes, looks hard to beat, gave up the edge on the big Haynes run. Sug Hill? Sam says without saying that they want to keep him motivated to do things that aren't just his talent. DT and LB are STACKED. Will be very deep and strong this year and are set next year with Palepale and maybe Anwunah. Yaxel: Don't get your hopes up; pretty much every mock draft has him 35-38 and those are guaranteed contract positions so we think there's going to be an NBA team willing to put them on their roster next year. Hockey: Fascinating offseason as Michigan is trying to poach a goalie and most of their new top-six, including the #1 overall pick next year, from Canadian Juniors. Won't know until their playoff ends.
