While many of you were fast asleep Tuesday night, an Auckland man set a new world record - by jumping off the Harbour Bridge 941 times in 24 hours. Mike Heard was chasing the record of 765 bungee jumps set last year by Frenchman Francois-Marie Dibon. He's doing it to raise money for the Mental Health Foundation, starting the challenge at 7am Tuesday. Heard spoke to Corin Dann.

Our adventure travel guru Katherine Parker Magyar takes us to one of the most beautiful places on earth---New Zealand. Few places on the planet possess the blend of pristine beaches, glacier capped mountains and the most lush greenery you will ever lay eyes on. The country is an outdoor adventure paradise. Bungy jumping from one of New Zealand's highest bridges to Skyjumping some 630 feet off the Skytower in Auckland, Katherine did that and more. She only has two regrets---she couldn't stay longer and she didn't get to try Heli-hiking on New Zealand's South Island due to inclement weather. She did test her mettle with a little hiking and driving windy mountain roads on the left---not for the faint of heart if you are used to driving on the right. And guess what? She made this journey to New Zealand by herself. Oh, and that mountain driving, Katherine tells us she went several hours without seeing a single person on the road.If you need a good adrenalin rush check out this video in the post on our website tripcast360. If that doesn't make your heart pump a little faster nothing will. But there's more to New Zealand than leaping off tall buildings in a single bound. Katherine raves about the friendliness of the Kiwi people (New Zealanders) along with the kindness extended to her by the Maori people. Their Polynesian influence can be scene and felt everywhere. There's still more. You'll need to listen to find out. Enjoy!

After snorkelling and driving around the sandy Fraser island.. it was time to turn up the adrenaline. . I don't consider myself an extreme sport enthusiast but there definitely is something to be said about adrenaline rushes. I feel like time moves more slowly when your body is convinced it's going to meet its end.
Welcome to day 3 and 4 of my road trip from Cape Town. In this episode, I visit Safari Ostrich Farm in Oudtshoorn here on the Garden Route in South Africa. It's the only Tractor Safari on an Ostrich Farm in South Africa, and it's interesting to see and learn something new about this weird bird – a specie whose ancestors have been around since the age of dinosaurs. Then I head to Knysna – a quaint town located in the heart of the world-famous Garden Route. If Oudtshoorn is big on Ostriches and Knysna is mostly known for Oysters. So, I go to a restaurant called 34 South at the Waterfront after a long walk to Knysna Head to see the sunset. On my way from Knysna to Port Elisabeth I was driving straight east along the coastline on the N2 Highway. Again, the view from the window of my Toyota Corolla was unreal. On the border between the Eastern Cape and the Western Cape, I get to Bloukrans Bridge where they have the world's highest commercial bridge bungy jump, Bloukrans Bridge Bungy. It's 216 meters (709 ft) above the Bloukrans River. Here I speak to some of the jumpers both before and after their jump. . LINKS: Sponsor Hotels25.com The Radio Vagabond is produced by RadioGuru. FULL VIDEO: https://youtu.be/av3DO6BOQXM . Snowboarding in August, bungy jumping in the midle of a canyon, switching ecosystems multiple times a day.. Seems like a normal day on the south island of New Zealand! . As you may know, NZ has left a really long lasting imprint on my life as I went there 9 years ago and it hasn't budged from its position in my top 3 countries. . Instead of reading this, you'd be better off hearing me get all excited in the episode :)
Bungy jumping, hot pools, jet-boat riding, mud baths or a quiet walk around a lake. Top tourist towns Queenstown and Rotorua are expecting an influx of home-grown visitors this weekend, all looking for some well-earned RnR. Rotorua mayor Steve Chadwick and Queenstown mayor Jim Boult speak to Susie Ferguson.
Queenstown Mayor Jim Boult is gearing up to welcome Alert Level 2 and easing of travel restrictions with an iconic Kiwi activity to start to the morning - a Bungy Jump. Queenstown Lakes has been one of the hardest hit regions in the country with thousands of people seeking welfare support since late March. Boult hopes domestic tourism will help the resort town begin to bounce back. Tourism reporter Tess Brunton is at AJ Hackett Bungy at Kawarau Bridge near Queenstown where Boult is preparing to jump.
