This week after catching up with the crew and sharing some news the gang digs into all the details about the Spirit Wave Radio and Ecosystem, and the Spirit 3 and W1 FBLs. We'll cover in detail what the experience is like to do a full setup from the radio, and just how easy, is the "easy button" Spirit Wave ecosystem. How does it fly, what the defaults are like, telemetry and other capabilities, and a good overall review of how the system flies and how easy it is to work with.As always... thanks for listening!Website:www.rotorrevolution.liveFacebook:www.facebook.com/rotorrevolutionrcpodcastEmail:questions@rotorrevolution.liveSwag Store:www.zazzle.com/rotorrevolution

Why is it so important to imagine the worst-case scenario? What happens when we don't?In this episode of Delivering Adventure, Chris and Jordy share a few examples from their adventure industry careers to illustrate the importance of considering the worst-case scenario. They also talk about some of the factors that can compromise our ability to foresee what can happen if things don't go to plan and how we can avoid falling into these traps.Chris Kaipio has been working in the adventure guiding industry as a guide, instructor, trainer, manager and content developer since 1991.Jordy Shepard is an internationally certified ACMG / IFMGA Mountain Guide, guide trainer, an avalanche educator, rescue specialist, and a former park warden.Key TakeawaysHow we can imagine the wort-case scenario:Consider What can Reasonably Happen: This involves asking ourselves what all the possible negative outcomes could be and identifying if we are prepared if they come to pass.Be detail oriented: The difference between a professional and an amateur is being detail oriented. Considering all the details before hand gives us an opportunity to identify and plan for all the likely outcomes that may happen.Think ahead: This can require us to step away from complex situations so that we can fully consider the situation and what lies ahead.Ask if we are Missing Anything: Is there information that we might be missing? This is something that we should always be asking ourselves. This helps to avoid developing tunnel vision.Do your research: This can involve talking to others and looking at case-studies.Training and Simulations: This can give us firsthand experience with what can happen.Communicate the Risks Thoroughly: This creates an opportunity for everyone to understand what hazards they can expect to encounter.Guest BiosChris Kaipio is the produce and co-host of Delivering Adventure. He has worked in the adventure industry as an instructor, guide, trainer and manager since 2001.Chris is currently developing the Managing Risk on Snow eLearning Certification for the Professional Ski Instructors of Canada. When complete, this will be a robust four level online risk management and decision-making certification for guides and Instructors.Chris has written the book Power to Influence: How to get the best out of ourselves and others. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides. This is where he met Jordy Shepherd.Jordy Shepherd is the co-host of Delivering Adventure.Jordy is an internationally certified ACMG / IFMGA Mountain Guide, guide trainer, an avalanche educator, rescue specialist, and a former park warden. His work experience includes Canadian Avalanche Association Course Leader for Avalanche Search and Rescue Advanced Skills, Provincial Park Ranger, National Park Warden, Wildlife Conflict Specialist, Wildland and Structural Firefighter, Mountain and Industrial Rescue Specialist, Heli-skiing Operations Manager and Lead Guide, and Licensed Real Estate Agent. Jak wygląda życie z ADHD i czemu HELA - gościni najnowszego odcinka Ukrytych Pragnień - uważa, że to super moc? Several areas were flooded, with dozens of people rescued from homes and vehicles. A former Devon Bishop has been officially confirmed as the new Archbishop of Canterbury, following a ceremony held at St Paul's Cathedral. Why is it so hard to make good decisions in higher risk situations? High risk situations are ones where a mistake, a miscalculation or a mishap can lead to serious or unmanageable consequences. These situations are the ones where uncertainty and the threat of experiencing serious consequences can apply pressure that can cloud our judgment. In this episode Chris and Jordy are joined by Colin Zacharius to explore how we can make better decisions in high-risk situations.Colin is well renowned ACMG /IFMGA Mountain Guide who has worked in the adventure industry since 1980. Colin has worked as a guide, guide trainer, avalanche educator, accident investigator, risk management specialist and speaker. He has worked extensively in the cat skiing and Heli-skiing industry in Canada and the US. He has trained and examined guides across multiple disciplines for the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides where he previously served as the technical director.Colin harnesses his extensive experience working in the adventure industry to help us to understand why it so hard to make good decisions in high-risk situations and how we can avoid some of the mistakes that he has seen throughout his career.Key TakeawaysHow to make better decisions in high-risk situations:Imagine: What the worst-case scenario could look like.Practice Good Habits: This includes taking the time to be well prepared, being situationally aware so that you know what is happening or likely to happen and being aware of any human factors that may negatively influence your judgment.Examine Decisions Afterwards: Either by getting peer feedback, debriefing with your team or by using self-assessment. The intention should be to examine decisions that are made regardless of the outcome, with the intent of identifying things that went well and areas that could be improved. What you really want to identify are trends.Build in an Adequate Margin of Error: This gives you a buffer in case of a mistake, misstep, miscalculation or there is a surprise.Avoid Normalizing High Risk Situations: When we become too comfortable in high-risk situations, we become complacent to the danger.Guest BioColin Zacharius is well renowned ACMG /IFMGA Mountain Guide who has worked in the adventure industry since 1980. Sid Pattison is a heli ski guide, an Everest veteran, and an all around badass, but what makes Sid different is who he is. Sid has the rare combination of a magnetic personality that lights up any situation, along with the ability to connect with every person he comes across, from the janitor to the CEO. These unique human skills, combined with his beast-like ability in the field, has created a fast lane in life that's allowed Sid to leapfrog past more accomplished peers. He's skipped some traditional steps on his way to things like guiding Everest, to his upcoming buy into North Cascade Heli Ski, but he doesn't cut corners. Christmas season is here! While many people will be celebrating all over the world, there is a sad disconnect between the holiday and the Savior we celebrate on it. Who is Jesus really? It’s a question that everyone needs to ask at some point, and I pray they do. The gospel accounts of Matthew and Luke both include answers to this important question. They display everyone’s favorite part of any “Bible in a year” reading plan… Genealogies! Matthew records from Abraham to Jesus on Mary’s side, and Luke comes from Joseph’s side all the way to Adam. One gives Jesus legal credibility to the Jews, and one gives connection to all of humanity as we could all be traced back to the very first man, Adam. These lists of people contain som interesting characters and ultimately point us to God’s redemptive power and providence to be able to use whoever He desires to accomplish His perfect will. Join us this weekend as we launch our Christmas series “With Us”, looking at Immanuel! It truly is a powerfully important thing to know the One who has come, God in flesh with us, Jesus. -Pastor Ben Key Verse - Luke 3:23 (NIV) - "Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry. He was the son, so it was thought, of Joseph, the son of Heli," Key Passage - Matthew 3:23-38, Luke1:1-17 For this week's Scripture and notes: http://bible.com/events/49517146

A Primeira Turma do Supremo manteve Jair Bolsonaro preso.

3:1 Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judaea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene, 3:2 Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness. 3:3 And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins; 3:4 As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. 3:5 Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth; 3:6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God. 3:7 Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. 3:9 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 3:10 And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then? 3:11 He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise. 3:12 Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do? 3:13 And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you. 3:14 And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages. 3:15 And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not; 3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: 3:17 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable. 3:18 And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people. 3:19 But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother Philip's wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done, 3:20 Added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison. 3:21 Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, 3:22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased. 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli, 3:24 Which was the son of Matthat, which was the son of Levi, which was the son of Melchi, which was the son of Janna, which was the son of Joseph, 3:25 Which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of Amos, which was the son of Naum, which was the son of Esli, which was the son of Nagge, 3:26 Which was the son of Maath, which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of Semei, which was the son of Joseph, which was the son of Juda, 3:27 Which was the son of Joanna, which was the son of Rhesa, which was the son of Zorobabel, which was the son of Salathiel, which was the son of Neri, 3:28 Which was the son of Melchi, which was the son of Addi, which was the son of Cosam, which was the son of Elmodam, which was the son of Er, 3:29 Which was the son of Jose, which was the son of Eliezer, w...

Roy Tuscany is the Founder and CEO of the High Fives Foundation. On April 26, 2016 Roy overshot a ski jump and was paralyzed with a spinal cord injury. Six years later, and a year and a half after I was paralyzed, Roy and I connected for the first time. I had read an article about High Fives in Powder, a ski magazine and was jolted by the energetic vibe of the organization - it felt like something different. One of my closest friends also met Roy at an industry event. He immediately called me up and said you need to talk to this guy. In our first conversation, Roy told me about Tony Schmeising, a man who has been living as a quadriplegic for 40 years, and his expedition to Alaska to go Heli skiing. Roy then said, "you're next". I laughed nervously and said OK, while thinking to myself that it was a ridiculous suggestion. How was I going to do that with my recently acquired disability? Fast forward 12 years and High Fives has awarded me with grants for adaptive sports equipment, covered adaptive surf competition fees, and supported some of my earliest adaptive ski lessons with Vermont Adaptive. High Fives has also grown tremendously in that time and is now a leading organization in the catastrophic injury and disability community. At least half of our previous guests have received support from High Fives and and of course High Fives is the presenting sponsor of The Unexpected Journey. In this conversation, we skip over Roy's story of his ski accident that resulted in a spinal cord injury, paralysis, and the founding of High Fives. A quick Google search will produce dozens of podcasts and articles on both of those topics. Instead, Roy and I explore healing, leadership, parenting, taking ownership of one's life, and trauma, including sexual abuse. If you or someone you know has experience sexual abuse or you suspect they are, please know that you are not alone and that safe confidential support from a professional is immediately available at the national sexual assault telephone hotline 1-800–565–HOPE or 4673. How do you become a great instructor? No instructor or guide wants to be mediocre. Few students or guests want their instructor to deliver an average performance. This would hardly improve learning, create great stories or build positive memories. So how can instructors, coaches and guides be great? One person who has worked extremely hard to become consistently great at instructing and guiding is Cyril Shokoples. Cyril is an ACMG / IFMGA Mountain Guide and a past president of the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides. Cyril is also an EMS instructor, and an Open Water Scuba Instructor. Cyril specializes in teaching high angle rope rescue, avalanche safety, avalanche search and rescue, wilderness emergency care and mountaineering skills.Cyril has been training Canadian Forces Search and Rescue Technicians, known as SAR Techs, for over thirty-five years. He was also responsible for the creation of the Parks Emergency Responder program for national park wardens in Canada. When he is not teaching, Cyril has been working extensively in the guiding industry as a climbing and Heli-ski guide.Cyril joins Chris and Jordy to share key strategies and philosophies that can help anyone to be become better at instructing and guiding. If you work hard, Cyril's advice might even help you to become great!Key TakeawaysHow can we become great instructors and guides?Start by Aspiring to Great: If you want to be great, you have to want to be great in the first place. We generally become what we aspire to be. If your goal is to be merely average then that's likely what you will end up delivering.Prepare Like a Professional: This can sometimes require us to spend longer getting ready for what we are going to be instructing or guiding, than it is actually going to take us. Preparation should involve anticipating anything that can happen like the questions that might be asked, or anything that could go wrong.Practice With Purpose: This can involve mixing up how we do things including trying out new ways of explaining or presenting information. It also involves reflecting on how we did after the fact with the goal being to learn how we could do it even better in the future. If we keep doing the same thing without reflecting on how we can make it great, we can expect to get results that are more likely to be mediocre.Ask People for Their Advice: Don't underestimate the fact that people like to share what they know. This is a human need that most people have. When Presenting: Try to stay calm, be dynamic, engage the group you are dealing with and add fun where possible.Guest BioCyril Shokoples started his career as a scout leader over forty years ago.
