Whether you've been glued to your screen or are looking for your next binge, we've got the hot takes, thoughtful breakdowns, and passionate TV talk you crave. We start things off by unpacking the season finales of Will Trent, Tracker, and 911. Each of these shows closed out their latest chapter in dramatically different ways — some soared, some stumbled, and all sparked plenty of discussion. We talk character arcs, cliffhangers, emotional payoffs, and what we're hoping for next. If you've been keeping up, you'll want to hear our thoughts. If you haven't, this might just convince you to start watching. Next up, we get into the shockers of the week: the cancellations of Suits: LA and Found. Why were these promising shows pulled so early? What could they have become if given more time? We dig into the industry chatter, speculate on missed opportunities, and explore how these decisions impact the broader TV landscape and fan communities. Of course, no episode of The Big Binge Watchlist would be complete without checking in on our current streaming obsessions. From hidden gems that deserve more love to the can't-miss hits that everyone's talking about, Jayme and Jason share their latest viewing habits and recommendations to help you expand your own watchlist. So if you're looking for real talk, deep analysis, and a little fun along the way, this episode is for you. Whether you're mourning the loss of a favorite series or celebrating a killer finale, we're right there with you.

What if your cravings aren't about food at all?In this episode, I dive into how intuitive eating can truly change your relationship with food. I talk about why regulating your nervous system is key to letting go of cravings and emotional eating—not through willpower, but by creating a sense of safety in your body.I walk you through seven powerful steps to help you build a healthy, peaceful connection with food. One of the biggest shifts? Planning your meals not to restrict yourself, but to ease anxiety around food and take the pressure off.We also explore how restriction often backfires and how tuning into your body's natural signals can help you feel more in control, without guilt or shame. It's all about approaching food with compassion and trust. You'll hear practical tips and real talk about calming cravings, emotional eating, and how nervous system regulation plays a major role in all of it. When we stop seeing food as the enemy and start working with our body—not against it—weight loss and health happen more naturally.Topics Covered:Calming Cravings by Planning Meals and Regulating the Nervous SystemShifting From Protection Mode to Safety Mode for WellnessBreaking the Cycle of Restrict, Binge, Punish, PromiseThe Paradox of Food Deprivation and Increased CravingsFasting as a Healing Tool Beyond Weight LossRegulating Your Nervous System to Improve Eating HabitsIf you've ever felt like food has power over you, I hope this conversation brings you comfort and inspiration. You're not alone, and healing is possible. If you've ever felt like you're doing everything right—eating well, exercising, pushing yourself—but your body just won't let go of fat, there's a reason.Your nervous system is either in Protection Mode (fight-or-flight) or Safety Mode (rest-and-digest)—and fat release only happens in Safety Mode. But if your body feels unsafe? It clings to fat, slows metabolism, and even triggers binge eating and self-sabotage.Think about it. You go through stress, and suddenly you're reaching for food you swore you wouldn't touch. You're not weak—it's biology. When your body is in survival mode, it's wired to conserve energy and seek quick fuel. That's why unwanted eating behaviors feel so out of control sometimes. But here's the kicker: fat loss isn't just about burning calories—it's about making your body feel safe enough to let go.So the real question is—are you pushing your body into Protection Mode without even realizing it? Because if you are, no amount of dieting or exercise is going to override survival mode. It's time to stop fighting your body and start working with it.So if you're ready to Break Free from Emotional and Binge Eating, download my FREE eBook: Calm the Craving: 7 Steps to Break the Emotional and Binge Eating Battle. In this guide, you'll learn how to regulate your nervous system to eliminate cravings, make peace with food, and allow the weight to naturally release itself.Download your free copy here: www.sherryshaban.com/calmYou deserve to experience food freedom, I can't wait to see you inside!Listen to more episodes at www.makepeacewithfood.com/podcast or subscribe to me on Spotify, iTunes, and YouTube so you never miss an episode!Join my Facebook Community here: www.myfoodfreedomlifestyle.comWork with me: www.sherryshaban.com/transformWant to go deeper? Every time I promised myself I'd quit bingeing, my first instinct was to trade carrot cake for carrot sticks and run so hard I'd practically slide off the treadmill. But no matter how dedicated I was to so-called “clean eating” and marathon gym sessions, the binges always came back. Here's what I missed back then: There are key things you can do—things that have nothing to do with counting carbs or surviving bootcamp—things that can markedly shift bingeing. Counterintuitive as this is, focusing away from restricting and working out often yields a desire to eat and move in ways that serve us—body, mind, and soul. In all, I'll been talking about 10 important pieces to understand, and this episode focuses on understanding how your bingeing makes sense. YES, you read that right! In today's episode, I sit down with Dr. Chuks to explore the deeply layered world of eating disorders - how they often begin, what fuels them, and why they can be so difficult to detect and treat. We talk about the connection between stress and disordered eating around major life events, the dangerous expectations placed on our bodies before weddings and holidays, and how social media and comparison can quietly chip away at our sense of self. I share some of my own experiences navigating anorexia, the crossover between restriction and bingeing, and the importance of recognising emotional triggers.Whether you're personally affected, supporting someone who is, or just curious to understand this often misunderstood illness a bit better—this conversation holds space for honesty, reflection, and healing.Find Dr Chuks:Book: https://amzn.eu/d/b1zIkj6Stay Connected with Hurt to Healing:Instagram: instagram.com/hurttohealingpodTikTok: tiktok.com/@hurttohealingpodLinkedIn: linkedin.com/company/hurt-to-healingSubstack: substack.com/@hurttohealingWebsite: hurttohealing.co.uk Hosted on Acast. If you're recovering from an eating disorder, you might well desire to eat all the foods that you have been depriving yourself of, as a rebellion against the restriction or dieting fatigue. You may have an all or nothing relationship with food. You're either being super-healthy and good, or chaotic and devouring everything in sight. Maybe you binge on ‘bad foods' that you would normally forbid yourself. In recovery, it's helpful to move towards permitting all these foods into your eating plan. This doesn't mean eating donuts for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Or throwing health goals out of the window. It's about embracing food neutrality and taking food off the pedestal of maximal pleasure. It's possible to achieve healthy eating (not orthorexic eating!), whilst honouring taste, satisfaction and pleasure. Understandably, you might not know where to start. This podcast episode will give your practical steps to make this possible. I hope that you find it helpful. In this thought-provoking Clinician's Corner episode, Clarissa Kennedy and Molly Painschab dive deep into the ever-popular term “self-sabotage” — and why they believe it's not only inaccurate but potentially harmful in the context of food addiction recovery. Together, they explore how behaviors often labeled as self-sabotage are actually maladaptive coping strategies, formed through years of survival. These are not signs of brokenness, but evidence of brilliance in navigating pain, trauma, and unmet needs. The duo discusses how using shame-based language like “chronic relapser” or “self-sabotage” can derail healing, and instead, offer curiosity, compassion, and nervous system awareness as more empowering alternatives. This episode is packed with insight, real client stories, and powerful reframes that will resonate with anyone navigating food addiction, emotional eating, or recovery setbacks. Key Takeaways: •

Welcome to Episode 31 of The Road to Carnivore Podcast! The Minnesota Starvation Experiment is one of the most stunning studies ever done, and shows us how restricted eating can cause deranged food behaviors like bingeing. This 15-minute episode discusses this 1940s study of healthy male subjects who started hoarding utensils, licking their plates and tableware, diluting and rehydrating their soup, and more. It is dieting, calorie restriction, or semi-starvation, that cause binge behavior in humans. Thrilled to open the latest season of Busy Body in conversation with Emma Specter. We discuss her new book, her memoir, More, Please on Food, Fat, Bingeing, Longing and the Lust for 'Enough'.More, Please, reads like a bright, light, young-ambitious-woman-coming-of-age-in-the-big-city, albeit with a parallel life of addiction and self harm (because isn't that the truth behind those stories anyway??). It is extraordinarily relatable, funny, painful, insightful and ultimately not only hopeful but inspiring.Personally I think everyone should read first person account of living with ED, whether you think you have one or not, that being said, Eating Disorders are discussed so proceed with caution if that might be upsetting for you. Following a specific food plan can actually lead to binging because it creates a sense of restriction. Meal plans, even flexible ones, still impose restrictions and can trigger an all-or-nothing mentality. Releasing food rules and letting go of the need for control is key to conquering binge eating.
