El Tránsito de Mercurio del 11 de noviembre del 2019. En este programa grabado de “Obsesión por el Cielo” platicamos en general sobre los tránsitos del planeta Mercurio sobre el disco del Sol. Estos eventos astronómicos ocurren solamente para planetas en órbitas inferiores a la de la Tierra (Mercurio y Venus) cuando coincide que cruzan el plano de la Tierra con el Sol (la Eclíptica) justamente cuando la Tierra los observa en conjunción inferior (esto es, cuando se encuentran alineados con la Tierra por un lado y el Sol por el otro). Para Mercurio esto sucede unas 13 o 14 veces cada 100 años ya sea alrededor de mayo 8 o noviembre 10. En esta ocasión el fenómeno astronómico sucederá este 11 de noviembre y podrá ser observado en su totalidad desde América del Sur y América Central. En México y el resto de Norteamérica el evento ya habrá comenzado justo antes del amanecer. En el programa repasamos un poco sobre la historia de estos eventos, sus particularidades y el cómo observarlos con seguridad. Hay que recordar que estamos observando una pequeña sombra que cruza el disco del Sol, y el observar el Sol con telescopios puede ser muy peligroso si no se toman las debidas precauciones debido a la concentración de luz que los telescopios logran. Esta semana, además de las Noticias Astronómicas, otorgamos los premiso Constelación y Movimiento Retrógrado a las noticias astronómicas del mes de octubre más y menos relevantes, respectivamente.               En la segunda presentación de la 11° temporada de Los conciertos de La 96.7, el Trío Ginastera interpretó el Trío en Do mayor, op.87, de Johannes Brahms, y el Trío en re menor, op.49, de Félix Mendelssohn. El Trío Ginastera está conformado por el violinista Xavier Inchausti, el chelista José Araujo y el pianista Marcelo Balat. VER EL PROGRAMA

El Trío Matamoros estuvo varias veces en Nueva York. Entre su primer viaje de 1928 y los realizados hasta 1937, los grupos que dirigía Miguel Matamoros grabaron decenas de números. En 1934, registraron una pieza donde el trío se manifestaba en contra de una supuesta moda que pretendía extender el nudismo en la isla de Cuba. Aquel año del 34 el trío también dejó para la posteridad el número La cocainómana, pieza que ha sonado en el programa. Miguel Matamoros era del popular barrio de Los Hoyos, en Santiago de Cuba, donde nació en 1894, concretamente el 8 de mayo, día en que también se reunió por vez primera el trío, para celebrar su cumpleaños de 1925. Este gran sonero, completamente autodidacta en la música, poseía extraordinarias cualidades como cantante. Por otra parte, su personal rayado en la guitarra se completaba con el tumbao de Cueto en los bajos de la suya. El día 15 de abril se cumplió un nuevo aniversario del fallecimiento, en su ciudad natal, Santiago de Cuba, del fundador de este trío. El pianista Tony Sala tuvo que esperar a su jubilación para hacer su primer disco. Nacido en La Habana, en 1935, a los 17 años finalizó sus estudios de piano en el Conservatorio Carlos Alfredo Peyrellade de La Habana. En 1958 se graduó como contable en la Universidad de Villanueva, también en La Habana, entonces sucursal o franquicia de la Villanova University de Pennsylvania, USA. En 1961, Tony Sala, como otros miles de cubanos, se fue de Cuba y fijó su residencia en Philadelphia, donde se ganó la vida como contable y como ejecutivo de diferentes empresas en la zona metropolitana de la ciudad mencionada. A partir del año 2003, disfrutando ya de su jubilación, este pianista y ejecutivo empresarial cubano se dedica completamente a la música. Arsenio Rodríguez viajó el año 1947 a Estados Unidos para revisarse los ojos con la esperanza de recobrar la vista que había perdido en la adolescencia. Durante el trayecto entre La Habana y Nueva York, los dos hermanos, puesto que siempre le acompañaba su hermano Raúl, tuvieron que hacer escala también en Tampa, en donde se supone sólo estarían unas horas. Pero, para su sorpresa, fueron obligados a quedarse por una semana porque parece ser que en los papeles de Raúl había un problema con el visado. Mientras se resolvía este inconveniente, los hermanos Travieso Scull, cuales eran sus apellidos, se hospedaron en un hotel sito en un barrio donde residían otros cubanos. Fue entonces cuando Arsenio Rodríguez compuso Pasó en Tampa.Cuenta la musicóloga cubana Rosa Marquetti, en un artículo titulado Sexteto Habanero: el debut cinematográfico del son? publicado en su blog, que todo parece indicar que el género del son hizo su debut en el cine en la película del año 1929, Hell Harbour, cinta del maestro Henry King. Hasta cuatro canciones de Ernesto Lecuona, interpretadas por el Sexteto y Septeto Habanero, forman parte de la banda sonora de Hell Harbour. Los Troveros de Asieta nacieron en 1991, siendo inicialmente un cuartero. Su objetivo musical se centraba en la recogida y en el rescate de la música tradicional, para centrarse en los ritmos y los cantes de “ida y vuelta”, es decir, aquellos que fueron surgiendo en las Islas Canarias como consecuencia de la emigración. Los Troveros de Asieta creó hace dos años el espectáculo “Querida Cuba”, con el que celebraban sus primeros 25 años en la música.

"El Estudio Verde y Oro" a través de @XEQradio, con la conducción de Rodrigo de la Cadena, presenta a Los Chinacos de Toño Medina. Los Chinacos es un grupo con tres generaciones, con la primera se grabaron 16 discos, de la segunda fueron nueve y comienzan la tercera con "¡Vale la pena¡" (http://www.unaplauso.com.mx/los-chinacos_av35ed52.html) 1966 es el año en el que Antonio Medina Flores le da vida a Los Chinacos, grupo músico vocal excepcional que ha prevalecido a lo largo de tres generaciones. Antonio Medina Flores -Toño Medina- regiomontano de nacimiento, desde muy joven manifestó su pasión por la música, integrándose a diversos conjuntos de su ciudad natal, tiempo que aprovechó para foguearse y prepararse. Al cumplir los veintiún años debuta en la Ciudad de México (1950) con el "Trío Avileño" que también iniciaba una larga y excepcional etapa que dejó una huella profunda en nuestra música. En la década de 1950 a 1960, el Trío Avileño, con Toño Medina como integrante, alcanza un éxito extraordinario, presentándose en la radio –medio fundamental de la época para la difusión de la música-, la televisión, teatros, centros nocturnos y en todo tipo de escenarios de la república mexicana. Las grabaciones discográficas, así como los reconocimientos llegan por todas partes. El Trío Avileño fue el primer conjunto mexicano en recibir el "Grand Prix" del disco, otorgado en aquellos años por la Academia Charles Gross de Francia por el chachachá "Me lo dijo Adela". De igual manera el más alto directivo de la XEW les otorgó un reconocimiento especial por haber logrado participar en la estación de manera relevante. El trío llegó a tener hasta 17 programas en una sola semana; un hecho sin precedentes. Cuando el chachachá, genero que tuvo un extraordinario auge, empieza a declinar, Toño Medina forma el grupo llamado"Los Medina" que como rasgo singular queda integrado por los seis hermanos Medina. En esta nueva experiencia Toño se reafirma como líder y se sigue preparando en el terreno musical. La cosecha de éxitos continuaría. El grupo de los Medina sería el antecedente de Los Chinacos. El tiempo que para muchos es un factor que va mermando capacidades y creatividad, en el caso de Los Chinacos ha sido favorable ya que, al irse renovando sus integrantes, ha consolidado esta institución musical. Prueba de ello ha sido la presencia larguísima en "El Jorongo" del Hotel María Isabel, donde su espectáculo ha sido el regocijo de nuestros connacionales y extranjeros. Muchas han sido las noches bohemias que Los Chinacos nos han regalado e inmenso el repertorio musical que han interpretado, sin faltar, por supuesto sus propias composiciones.
