Folge #219: FingernailsKann man Liebe wirklich messen? Critical DNA Evidence Found Under Maddie Mogen's Fingernails
#340 - Therapy affirmations. Public embarrassments. Foot in mouth. Saving cool stuff. Escorting. Good pup. Chainsaw!
Recent court documents have revealed that DNA from three different individuals was discovered under the fingernails of Madison Mogen, one of the four University of Idaho students tragically murdered in November 2022. This finding suggests that Mogen may have struggled with her assailant, potentially collecting crucial forensic evidence during the attack. However, defense attorneys for the primary suspect, Bryan Kohberger, contend that the DNA tests were inconclusive and have filed motions to exclude this evidence from the upcoming trial..Kohberger, a former criminology Ph.D. student, is accused of fatally stabbing Mogen and her three housemates. Prosecutors have presented additional evidence linking Kohberger to the crime, including DNA found on a knife sheath at the scene, surveillance footage of a vehicle resembling his, and cell phone records placing him near the victims' residence before and after the murders. The defense is challenging the admissibility of much of this evidence, arguing that certain investigative methods and the breadth of search warrants could mislead the jury or infringe upon Kohberger's rightsto contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Idaho murders trial rocked by curveball DNA evidence found under victim's fingernails | Daily Mail Online

Oh, Dear Listener, dare we show our age whilst we ask: does no one take advice anymore? It's a conundrum, to be sure, especially when you consider how willling and able we are to dish it out. But alas. These young ones today seem contented to flout our ways. Look at them, with their vacation "registries" and luxuriously nonfunctional fingernails. Tsk tsk. To think? How do they wipe?

In this episode of "Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski," retired FBI Special Agent Robin Dreeke discusses the case of Robert Tellis, the former Clark County Public Administrator accused of murdering investigative reporter Jeff German. Dreeke analyzes the behavioral patterns that could have led Tellis to such an extreme act of violence, emphasizing that individuals don't typically escalate to murder without a history of anger and aggression. The discussion highlights how Tellis' alleged actions are consistent with someone who has experienced escalating rage, possibly culminating in the murder of German, who had written extensively about turmoil and allegations of bullying within Tellis' office. Dreeke points out that DNA evidence found under German's fingernails is a critical piece of evidence that strongly implicates Tellis. The conversation also touches on the broader implications of Tellis' behavior, suggesting that his defensiveness and history of retaliatory actions may reveal deeper, unresolved issues. Dreeke reflects on how Tellis' reaction to criticism and his failure to remain silent in the face of accusations could be indicative of guilt, making his defense more challenging. **Main Points:** - Robert Tellis is accused of murdering investigative reporter Jeff German. - Dreeke examines the behavioral patterns that could have led to this violent act. - Escalating rage and a history of aggression are often precursors to such crimes. - DNA evidence under the victim's fingernails strongly implicates Tellis. - German's reporting on turmoil and bullying in Tellis' office may have triggered the crime. - Tellis' defensiveness and reaction to criticism suggest deeper issues and possible guilt. - Dreeke emphasizes the importance of understanding behavioral arcs in criminal cases. #RobertTellis #JeffGerman #MurderInvestigation #BehavioralAnalysis #DNAEvidence #CrimeandPunishment #LasVegasNews Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? In this podcast episode, Tony Brueski and former prosecutor Eric Faddis delve into the trial of Robert Telles, a former public official in Las Vegas accused of murdering investigative reporter Jeff German. German had exposed alleged corruption in Telles' office, leading to a contentious relationship between the two. The defense in Telles' trial is expected to argue that he was framed, possibly by someone with a grudge against him. However, Faddis notes the difficulty in convincing a jury of this theory, especially given the strong evidence against Telles, such as DNA found under German's fingernails. The discussion also touches on Telles' courtroom demeanor, which Faddis suggests may be perceived as overacted or insincere by the jury. Additionally, the conversation highlights potential investigative biases, drawing parallels to the Karen Read case, where such issues played a significant role. Faddis emphasizes that the defense must shift the jury's focus from the incriminating evidence to these alleged biases if they hope to secure an acquittal. **Main Points:** - Robert Telles is on trial for the murder of reporter Jeff German, who had exposed alleged corruption in Telles' office. - The defense may argue that Telles was framed, but this theory could be challenging to sell to the jury given the strong evidence, including DNA. - Telles' courtroom demeanor might be viewed as overacted or insincere, potentially harming his defense. - Investigative bias could be a critical angle for the defense, similar to issues seen in the Karen Read case. - The defense must work to shift the jury's focus from the incriminating evidence to potential investigative misconduct. **Hashtags:** #RobertTelles #JeffGerman #KarenRead #InvestigativeBias #CourtroomDrama #DNAEvidence #EricFaddis Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? Savage discusses the complex issue of God's side in the Gaza conflict, acknowledging the difficulty of the subject due to the innocent civilians being killed. He argues that understanding the historical context of the Jewish people's struggles, including their expulsion from Arab countries, is crucial to understanding the Israeli perspective. He also suggests that God is on the side of those who want to end the war. He explains how Hamas has the power to bring an end to the conflict if they want it to stop. He critiques the Biden Administration's perceived bias towards the Arab side, citing the influence of Arab voters. He blasts Biden for supporting arms sales to Lebanon and Qatar while threatening to stop sales to Israel. He then shares about his private meeting with President Trump at Mar-a-Lago as Trump endures relentless attacks from the Left. He shifts to a philosophical discussion about the concept of God and the idea that humans are given a second chance at life, citing the example of near-death experiences. Savage concludes with a childhood story about a tough, neighborhood bartender and what he taught him about conflict. Share this vital podcast with your friends and family!
