Raised in New England, he's been fascinated with the paranormal since childhood, because of his passion for horror movies and some inexplicable experiences within his home and family.    His strong vivacity led him to risk his own life twice within one year, he considers the first and gravest time a near-death experience that made him more sensitive to the supernatural.    He then moved to Las Vegas, NV, to graduate with a BA in Film at the University of Nevada (UNLV). During his senior year he got engaged with his high school sweetheart, Veronique Roussel, who also was his partner during his first attempts of paranormal research in Nevada. As their wedding DJ they hired Zak Bagans, who Nick befriended, afterwards the two of them told each other about their individual experiences with ghosts. Then, from working together as DJ and camera operator for weddings, they became a team of young paranormal investigators and in order to make a proper documentary about ghosts they needed to hire one more person. They chose Aaron Goodwin, who Nick had met years before during an UNLV film conference.    So, in 2004 the Ghost Adventures Crew was born, when, with no money but full of hopes, the three of them began to travel to the most haunted places in Nevada for their "Ghost Adventures: The Original Documentary" and later got the attention of critics and producers, which allowed them to create their own tv show on Travel Channel. "Ghost Adventures" was his first paranormal tv project, which he co-created, co-hosted and executive produced for ten seasons (2008-2014).    He's had many experiences while filming it, the most important of which was when he saw the apparition of a woman at Linda Vista Hospital (Los Angeles, CA) that left a mark on him, definitively convincing him about the existence of the afterlife.    He worked on many projects in different fields, from creating his own clothing brand, the "Phantom Collection", to writing his autobiographic book titled "Chasing Spirits: The Building of the Ghost Adventures Crew" (2012). As a singer he released in 2012 two music albums: "The Other Side" and "Spiritual War: Good vs Evil".    Through his production company, Groff Entertainment, he produces some independent music artists besides his tv projects. We're back! And this one is a doozy! We catch up on life and try to remember how to podcast while Aaron smacks his head on a cross beam. Zak and the Ghost Adventures Crew reminisce about the glory days and we get really, really far off topic. As always. Buckle up! It's a long one!

Carl Hutchinson was born in Sheffield in 1971 and relocated to Kent with his family moved when he was 12 years old. Other than the paranormal he is also interested in travelling the world and loves to be on the golf course when he is not investigating the paranormal.Carl has been investigating for over 10 years and up and till the start of 2015 he has been a part of several public paranormal investigations . While Carl has been doing that he was able to investigate some of the most active and haunted locations around the UK. Carl in his words is a logical minded person who on an investigation will always look for a natural reason behind the activity he experiences so he can rule out any natural reason for what is happening. Carl has over the years got into the technical side of paranormal research and he looks at the best ways of using the modern ghost hunting equipment or "kit" on and investigation.During his time investigating the paranormal he has had some very interesting and in part scary moments. From being punched by unseen hands at Fort Horsted, to seeing a full body apparitions of a women at Rye Castle. He has heard footsteps, whistle, strange noises and has had various things thrown at him by unseen hands. But again in his words “I love what Ido and the buzz of investigating is so amazing”. Back in 2012 Carl was contacted by Jeff Belanger the researcher for the American TV show Ghost Adventure about his experiences at Fort Horsted in Kent. Jeff asked if Carl wanted to do an interview with Zak, Aaron and Nick on an upcoming show about his experiences and about his attack that happened at Fort Horsted. Carl jumped at the chance and was honoured to appear on the Fort Horsted episode that was aired in the USA during 2012. It was an amazing experience for Carl as he learnt so much from the Ghost Adventures Crew and took away investigation tips and ideas which to this day he still uses on investigations.Carl has been been lucky enough to work with some amazing UK Paranormal teams and has helped them out on a few of their YouTube episodes. Over the years he has been a tech advisor for a number of other paranormal teams in the UK.For the past few years Carl has had been lucky enough to be able to work with Really TV as part of the UK Haunted Live Team, as well as being behind the scenes at helping out at Sage Paracon which is a paranormal convention in the UK.Back in October 2019 Carl visited Tonopah where he was lucky enough to visit The Clown Motel & Tonopah Cemetery where he took part in a small spirit box session with friends which then it appeared on a Youtube series “Paranormal Voyages-The Clown Motel”

When I wrote a post referencing (ogling) Rick McCallum back in 2011 (see "Look Who the Ghost Adventures Crew is Hunting with Now" (https://www.hauntjaunts.net/look-who-the-ghost-adventures-crew-is-hunting-with-now/) ), I never, ever thought he'd see it. I'd been excited about the Ghost Adventures episode featuring the Hollywood Ghost Hunters, because it was comprised in part of Kane Hodder ("Jason," Friday the 13th) and R.A. Mihailoff ("Leatherface," Texas Chainsaw Massacre). However, joining them was this stuntman named Rick McCallum. (He's actually the founder of HGH.) Instead of focusing on the other two like I expected, I found myself enamored with Rick. I said as much in my post. Again, never, ever thinking he'd see it.  But he did. And he was very gracious about it...even if still he teases me about it every chance he gets. (You'll hear reference to it.) That's right. Teases me. Because something else happened that I never, ever thought --or even imagined-- would: not only did I get to meet him in person, but we became friends.  Rick's good looks may have been what first caught my eye, but now having had the chance to get to know him, he's more than just a "hubba hubba hunk." (My original reaction to him.)  He's got a wickedly delightful sense of humor and is a fantastic storyteller. Bonus: he hunts ghost.  We talk about all of that, as well as his jaunt to Scotland and all the ghost hunting and haunted places he visited while there.  As usual, we had a blast talking to each other, but it was also two hours long! That's why I've broken it up into two parts. Here's Part 1. However, in case you want to binge it all, Part 2 is also ready for your listening pleasure.

When I first learned Ghost Adventures had locked down a special Serial Killer series for Travel Channel's "Ghostober" programming (https://www.hauntjaunts.net/ghost-adventures-locks-down-travel-channels-ghostober-event-with-serial-killers-and-the-conjuring-house-and/) , one of the locations immediately piqued my interest: H. H. Holmes's Murder House. But didn't it burn down? How can they investigate something that doesn't exist? Because it does exist. But there is another property associated with his killings --the one that helped lead to his eventual arrest even. Zak and the Ghost Adventures Crew find themselves over the pond yet again in Venice, Italy. We discuss the conflict between the belief in demons without the belief in religion while Zak steals Nick's spotlight with yet another demon possession. She's best known for her role on A&E's hit series Paranormal State, in which she worked on hundreds of cases of unexplained supernatural phenomena and interviewed thousands of witnesses with the world-renowned Paranormal Research Society (PRS) from 2006-2011. A graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, Weidman has been working professionally as a paranormal researcher and investigator since 2006, but her passion for the supernatural began when she was a child living in historic Bucks County, Penn., where many locations are said to be haunted.
