Klinger annotated version. Before you even start, we know it should be pronounced “Jee-Kill” and not “Jeck-Ill”, but don't be the weirdo that says it like that because we're going to use both. Hey everybody, welcome to a special Christmas edition of Ghost Magnet. We wanted to do something really different tonight, so we’re going back to something that the Victorians used to do in the 1800s: we’re going to tell you a Christmas ghost story. When our producers Rob and Christine first told me about this idea, I knew instantly what I wanted the ghost story to be about, because I recently found out something amazing about where I live: long before my place was built, this spot was the home of a famous theater called the Babylon that burned to the ground in 1952.    The Babylon had an incredible history, so we’ve got three special guests tonight who know a lot about the Babylon, and you’re going to hear some awesome stories about this place.    So first, let’s introduce our guests:   Patti Negri Patti Negri is a Psychic-Medium and "Good Witch" best known for her recurring role on the Travel Channel's #1 show GHOST ADVENTURES. She is the international best-selling author of OLD WORLD MAGICK FOR THE MODERN WORLD: TIPS, TRICKS, & TECHNIQUES TO BALANCE, EMPOWER, & CREATE A LIFE YOU LOVE.  Patti was voted number one psychic, medium, trance medium, tarot reader, witch / magical practitioner in the world in an Internationally competition by Times Square Press.  Patti's body of work includes appearances on such shows as MASTER CHEF, AMEERICA’S GOT TALENT and Jeff Lewis' FLIPPING OUT. You know him, you love his books and appearances. Todays Guest is Richard Estep, author, paranormal investigator, and according to his own bio a D-list TV personality. You might have seen him on TV’s Haunted Case Files (Paranormal Investigators in the UK) Haunted Hospitals, and Paranormal 911.    His love of all things ghostly began at a very young age, fed by staying in his grandparents’ haunted house in England and by a constant stream of binge reading at his local library. He didn’t begin to actually investigate hauntings until the mid-nineties, but when he started, the bug bit him and he hasn’t let go ever since. He took this passion with him when he moved to the United States in 1999, and finally formed the Boulder County Paranormal Research Society in 2006. Which is still going strong today.   He started to write about his experiences in 2013, and now he has a number of books that are either on the market or contracted to be released in the near future. He makes his living as a paramedic and clinical educator for a private ambulance company. When he’s not doing that, he teaches EMT and paramedic students at two different medical training establishments, and occasionally gives tours at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado.   In the tiny amount of free time that does not involve paranormal investigation and writing about it, he says he is an unabashed geek, with a particular bias towards all things Star Wars. And a Lego problem that may eventually require professional counseling if it gets any further out of hand. Perhaps above all else, he is a collector and reader of books.   https://www.richardestep.net   #stanleyhotel #Poltergeist #FarrarSchoolhouse    Ghost Magnet Podcast Links Facebook: @GhostMagnetTV Instagram: @ghost_magnet_podcast YouTube: https://tinyurl.com/yxk5t53z Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ghost-magnet-with-bridget-marquardt/id1451559688 Libsyn: https://ghostmagnet.libsyn.com NEW - The Ghost Magnet Shop: https://www.cafepress.com/ghostmagnet   Bridget Marquardt Bridget Marquardt is best known to television audiences and pop-culture connoisseurs as the sweet and brainy star of E! Can’t wait to find out what happened next!    This weeks guest is Daniel Klaes.  Daniel has had a lifelong interest in the paranormal field since he was a child. He was raised in a haunted house.  In 2012, he co-founded the Greater Western New York Paranormal Society which was responsible for tackling some of the most challenging paranormal cases in the New York region.    Daniel is a long-time film producer of “Behind the Shadows”, a documentary film series, viewed internationally. He is also executive producer on two weekly live radio shows; “Live with Legendary Psychic Bernice Golden” and “Phenomena Encountered”.  Both shows are known for garnering thousands of views each episode.   Daniel is the Host of Within These Walls on VidiSpace which can be viewed on Amazon Prime and all of your Streaming Devices. He has also been cast as a team member on the longest running independent ghost hunting show; The Ghost Finders season 10.  The Ghost Finders is proud to be featured on ROKU’s Spirit channel and can be found on Amazon Prime as well as other leading streaming services.     In June of 2015, Daniel realized his lifelong dream. The infamous “Hinsdale House”, a homesite of  mysterious paranormal insect infestation activity and historical structural exorcisms, which has been featured in different books and featured on national network television series, became available for purchase. Wasting no time, he made an offer that was accepted and he became its proud owner. The haunted house in Hinsdale, perhaps the most famous haunted house in the area, has all the elements of a good ghost story: a mysterious history, strange sightings, unexplainable events and even an exorcism.   The Hinsdale house on McMahon Road first gained notoriety with a book, “Echoes of a Haunting,”.   Clara and Phil Dandy lived in the house along with their children in the early 1970s. During their time there, they were visited by many spirits. A priest from St. Bonaventure University was at the house more than once to perform an exorcism which worked for awhile but as time went by the Dandy family lost the battle and ended up leaving the house for good.   As the years passed by a few families have lived in the home but didn’t stay for long. This is where Daniel Klaes chapter in this story starts.   Daniel purchased the infamous house and put it back into a functional condition. Today Daniel lets teams investigate the property in hopes of discovering the mystery behind the ghosts who haunt this home.   The 1853 “Hinsdale House” is currently staged in its 1970’s period dressing in order to maintain its integrity from that era when the haunting’s began. The home is currently used as a paranormal research location.   I can’t wait to hear about growing up in a haunted house, all the stories that going on in the Hinsdale house and all about the paranormal projects he has going on…   #HinsdaleHouse #DanielKlaes #WithinTheseWalls   Ghost Magnet Podcast Links Facebook: @GhostMagnetTV Instagram: @ghost_magnet_podcast YouTube: https://tinyurl.com/yxk5t53z Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ghost-magnet-with-bridget-marquardt/id1451559688 Libsyn: https://ghostmagnet.libsyn.com NEW - The Ghost Magnet Shop: https://www.cafepress.com/ghostmagnet   Bridget Marquardt Bridget Marquardt is best known to television audiences and pop-culture connoisseurs as the sweet and brainy star of E! Nick Groff from Ghost AdventureS to Death Walker

Recorded live from The Conjuring house before his Halloween Seance, Nick Groff is ready to talk! From Death Walker to Paranormal Lockdown, Nick brings his best stories and he’s been everywhere…Bobby Mackey's Music World, Linda Vista, The Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum…The Queen Mary…Oman House…The Hinsdale House and More! Keeping Halloween going just one more week (until next week).   ABOUT NICK GROFF   Nick Groff was born in San José, California. Raised in New England, he's been fascinated with the paranormal since childhood, because of his passion for horror movies and some inexplicable experiences within his home and family.    His strong vivacity led him to risk his own life twice within one year, he considers the first and gravest time a near-death experience that made him more sensitive to the supernatural.    He then moved to Las Vegas, NV, to graduate with a BA in Film at the University of Nevada (UNLV). During his senior year he got engaged with his high school sweetheart, Veronique Roussel, who also was his partner during his first attempts of paranormal research in Nevada. As their wedding DJ they hired Zak Bagans, who Nick befriended, afterwards the two of them told each other about their individual experiences with ghosts. Then, from working together as DJ and camera operator for weddings, they became a team of young paranormal investigators and in order to make a proper documentary about ghosts they needed to hire one more person. They chose Aaron Goodwin, who Nick had met years before during an UNLV film conference.    So, in 2004 the Ghost Adventures Crew was born, when, with no money but full of hopes, the three of them began to travel to the most haunted places in Nevada for their "Ghost Adventures: The Original Documentary" and later got the attention of critics and producers, which allowed them to create their own tv show on Travel Channel. "Ghost Adventures" was his first paranormal tv project, which he co-created, co-hosted and executive produced for ten seasons (2008-2014).    He's had many experiences while filming it, the most important of which was when he saw the apparition of a woman at Linda Vista Hospital (Los Angeles, CA) that left a mark on him, definitively convincing him about the existence of the afterlife.    He worked on many projects in different fields, from creating his own clothing brand, the "Phantom Collection", to writing his autobiographic book titled "Chasing Spirits: The Building of the Ghost Adventures Crew" (2012). As a singer he released in 2012 two music albums: "The Other Side" and "Spiritual War: Good vs Evil".    Through his production company, Groff Entertainment, he produces some independent music artists besides his tv projects. Among his past important film projects there are the movie he wrote and directed, "Malevolence" (2004), and the tv shows he executive produced: Travel Channel's "Vegas Stripped" (2012) and Destination America's "Ghost Stalkers" (2014).    His dedication for sports and wellness led him to open his own gym and in June 2013 he launched the "Drive Health & Fitness" in Methuen, MA, which he co-owned until August 2015.    In 2014 he was an "American Ninja Warrior" competitor and applied again for the 2015 edition, he also raced and won the Boston Spartan Race.    On November 24th, 2014 he announced to no longer be a part of the Ghost Adventures Crew and launched the Nick Groff Tour, through which he organizes events to meet his fans and investigate with them in America's most haunted locations.    His show "Paranormal Lockdown" premiered in 2016 on Destination America, breaking the ratings records of the network and moved to TLC.    Another show he has worked on was Destination America's "Ghosts of Shepherdstown" (2016), where he was called to assist the Shepherdstown, WV, police department with his expertise in the paranormal field.   October was of course a busy month for him with another new series and some live events and I am going to ask him all about it but first…   http://www.nickgrofftour.com https://www.instagram.com/nickgroff_/?hl=en https://www.facebook.com/OfficialNickGroff   #NickGroff #DeathWalker #TheConjuring   Ghost Magnet Podcast Links Facebook: @GhostMagnetTV Instagram: @ghost_magnet_podcast YouTube: https://tinyurl.com/yxk5t53z Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ghost-magnet-with-bridget-marquardt/id1451559688 Libsyn: https://ghostmagnet.libsyn.com NEW - The Ghost Magnet Shop: https://www.cafepress.com/ghostmagnet   Bridget Marquardt Bridget Marquardt is best known to television audiences and pop-culture connoisseurs as the sweet and brainy star of E! Renee Watt and The Craft of Witches

Hey Everyone! It’s Bridget Marquardt here with a brand new episode of Ghost Magnet! Thank you so much for listening and welcome back!!   This week we have Renee Watt. Renee is a Psychic and her Psychic ability has run through her blood for multiple generations. Growing up, she heard stories of her great aunt “Cha Cha” who would gift her mother with trinkets and read tea leaves for her family and friends. Her grandma Irene read playing cards for her friends, but eventually stopped because her predictions were too accurate and she was frightened by her own talent. Her mother began experiencing visions and prophecies as a young girl, but was conditioned to ignore them, as her peers claimed she was communicating with the devil.    Throughout history, the women in her family and so many others had their brilliant gifts met with fear and scorn from society. Today, she is grateful to live in a time that’s more open minded about these empowering spiritual practices. By standing in her power, with a lineage of strong psychics behind her, she is righting some of the wrongs her ancestors encountered when they attempted to work with their gifts.   Her introduction into divination began when she was only 10 years old, when a family friend showed her her tarot deck. She was immediately taken by the images, hidden messages, and connection she felt to the tarot. She saved her allowance and purchased a deck of her very own weeks later. Not long after that, her mother took her and her siblings to a class on psychic development and intuition, where she learned how to channel (connect with energy happening outside of herself). Equipped with this new knowledge of the spirit realms, she began offering tarot readings to her peers at recess and channeled for her schoolmates during slumber parties.    She soon after discovered her first book on Witchcraft at a used book shop and by her 13th birthday, she formed her first coven. Sleepovers with her included calling corners, attempting to communicate with the dead, and casting spells.    As an adult her studies have become more focused and she offers a variety of services ranging from natal chart readings, spirit guide communication, psychic mentoring, animal communication, mediumship, tarot, magickal consultations, and so much more!    Her goal in every reading is to help empower and bring clarity to her client. She explores both the shadow and light of each person she reads and finds ways to help improve their quality of life. She focuses less on fantasy driven readings and try’s to bring the client to a healthy place in the present, so they can be aware of the work that needs to be done while feeling energized and optimistic about the path ahead of them.   Her expertise has been featured in Cosmo, InStyle, Teen Vogue, Bustle, Girlboss, Vogue UK, and many other publications. She also host two podcasts called "The Glitter Cast" and "Witch Doctorate" where she discusses all things witchcraft and spirituality, her goal is to give her listeners tools to help them along their own magickal/psychic paths.     Renee says, “Working magick has always been a passion of mine, and I’m delighted to share with you the knowledge I have collected throughout my years of practicing psychic ability and the craft!”     #TheCraft #Witch #Tarot   Ghost Magnet Podcast Links Facebook: @GhostMagnetTV Instagram: @ghost_magnet_podcast YouTube: https://tinyurl.com/yxk5t53z Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ghost-magnet-with-bridget-marquardt/id1451559688 Libsyn: https://ghostmagnet.libsyn.com NEW - The Ghost Magnet Shop: https://www.cafepress.com/ghostmagnet   Bridget Marquardt Bridget Marquardt is best known to television audiences and pop-culture connoisseurs as the sweet and brainy star of E! Amy Bruni has appeared in over 100 episodes of Ghost Hunters and well as stars and executive produces Kindred Spirits. With Amy’s new book, LIFE WITH THE AFTERLIFE: 13 Truths I Learned about Ghosts, she shares the insight she has gleaned into the paranormal, from her earliest supernatural encounters as a child, through her years appearing on television, and the creation of her company Strange Escapes. Amy has astonishing and deeply moving stories to share about her efforts to better understand the dead and invites readers to join her as she investigates and shares lessons learned from some of America’s most famous haunts, including: The famed Perron Family farmhouse, which served as the inspiration for The Conjuring, Salem, Massachusetts and The Salem Witch Trials, The Mount Washington Hotel (New Hampshire), The Queen Mary, a stately ship-turned-hotel in Long Beach, California, The Old St. Johns County Jail & The St. Augustine Lighthouse. Though what sets Amy apart from her colleagues is her unique approach to interacting with the spirits of the dead and those who encounter them. Once you’re able to view and understand that ghosts are people too (because they once were!), rather than something to be afraid of, the perspective of them changes entirely. And this belief system helps answer the questions – why do the spirits remain here? What do they want us to know? And how can we help? With bright humor and fierce compassion for both those who are haunted and those who are haunting, LIFE WITH THE AFTERLIFE is an eye-opening look at what connects us as people, in life and beyond. #TheConjuring #TheQueenMary #LifeWithTheAfterlife Ghost Magnet Podcast Links Facebook: @GhostMagnetTV Instagram: @ghost_magnet_podcast YouTube: https://tinyurl.com/yxk5t53z Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ghost-magnet-with-bridget-marquardt/id1451559688 Libsyn: https://ghostmagnet.libsyn.com NEW - The Ghost Magnet Shop: https://www.cafepress.com/ghostmagnet Bridget Marquardt Bridget Marquardt is best known to television audiences and pop-culture connoisseurs as the sweet and brainy star of E! Today’s guest is Patrick H.T. Doyle.  For most of his life Patrick has been an avid outdoorsman and has developed a reputation for investigating paranormal activity in some of the country's most remote and dangerous locations, venturing where other ghost hunters fear to tread. Since Ghost Mine (Syfy Network 2013-2014) ended, Patrick appeared as one of the hosts of Reelz Channel's Behind The Screams, and can be seen on the popular TV shows The Good Doctor, iZombie, The 100, Riverdale, Once Upon a Time, The Magicians and others. He has also starred in a number of short films playing serial killers, an alien and a time traveler. In addition to his film work, Patrick is also an accomplished author. Some of his work includes the critically acclaimed Y.A. series Edgar Font's Hunt For A House To Haunt, the graphic novel The Ghost of Zombie, and the best selling memoir Ghosts From The Ground Up.   Patrick Doyle’s experience with the paranormal began with a ghostly encounter as a 7-year-old kid, and his fascination with the supernatural has never ceased. While building his name as a paranormal investigator, Patrick and his frequent collaborator Kristen Luman were selected by an Oregon based mine owner to investigate The Crescent Mine, one of the most haunted locations in the Pacific Northwest. Their research was documented for the hit SyFy Channel series, Ghost Mine, which lasted for two seasons.   #GhostMine #Tommyknockers #QueenMary    Ghost Magnet Podcast Links Facebook: @GhostMagnetTV Instagram: @ghost_magnet_podcast YouTube: https://tinyurl.com/yxk5t53z Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ghost-magnet-with-bridget-marquardt/id1451559688 Libsyn: https://ghostmagnet.libsyn.com NEW - The Ghost Magnet Shop: https://www.cafepress.com/ghostmagnet   Bridget Marquardt Bridget Marquardt is best known to television audiences and pop-culture connoisseurs as the sweet and brainy star of E! But how did this child actor turned comedy director discover his spooky side? Find out on an all new episode of Ghost Magnet. ALSO Lisa Morton with an all new Ghost Report.   ****   This weeks guest is Rich Correll.  Rich began his theatrical career at the age of eight, appearing in over 100 TV shows as a featured actor and then landing a recurring role in the cult classic “Leave It To Beaver.”    Having been brought up by a famous radio star during the tail-end of Hollywood’s Golden era, Rich spent numerous hours in the company of some of America’s greatest comedians – Stan Laurel, Groucho Marx, Bob Hope, Jack Benny and Harold Lloyd to name a few. This valuable comedy background led to a teaching internship in Vintage Comedy at USC, where Rich graduated with a degree in Cinema Arts.  More importantly, it also led to a career in multi-camera sitcoms where Rich had the privilege of producing and directing – “Happy Days,” “Laverne and Shirley,” “Full House,” “Family Matters,” “Perfect Strangers,” “Step By Step,” “Married With Children,” “Yes Dear,” “Reba,” etc.  In the mid-nineties, Rich became ABC’s #1 sitcom director, specializing in “family programming. During Disney Channel’s ramp up of original programming between 2002-09, he became the channel’s most prolific director, helming “That’s So Raven,” “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody,” “Cory in the House,” “Suite Life on Deck,” “I’m In The Band,” “Phil of the Future,” and also directed the show he co-created for Disney, “Hannah Montana.”  Other directing assignments included - “The Partnership.” “Jessie,” “How to Rock,” “A.N.T. Farm,” “See Dad Run,” “Dog With A Blog,” “Liv and Maddie,” “Mighty Med.” “Crash and Bernstein,” “Team Kaylie” “Raven’s Home,” “Fuller House,” ... as well as the made-for- television feature versions of the hit R.L. Stine “Mostly Ghostly” book series.  In December of 2018, Rich celebrated the completion of his 700th TV directing assignment.  Although Correll’s career in comedy is the polarity of Sci-Fi and Horror films, over the past several decades, Rich has amassed the largest collection of sci-fi, fantasy and horror film memorabilia in the world. He has become one of the foremost experts in horror film history. Acquaintances such as Boris Karloff, Peter Lorre, Basil Rathbone, Vincent Price, Alfred Hitchcock, John Landis, Rick Baker, John Carpenter, Joe Dante, Peter Jackson and Rob Zombie have inspired Rich even more to keep the memory and recognition of their work alive and to assemble a showcase that the entire public can enjoy. Thus the concept of ''Icons of Darkness" was born…which we are going to talk about more on this podcast!   I have known Rich for probably close to 20 years now! And we have a lot of fun stories to share from Mansion Halloween parties, Halloween and haunted attraction conventions, my murder mystery birthday parties and he may even have a few spooky stories of his own to share!     #PlayboyMansion #Halloween #IconsOfHorror    Ghost Magnet Podcast Links Facebook: @GhostMagnetTV Instagram: @ghost_magnet_podcast YouTube: https://tinyurl.com/yxk5t53z Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ghost-magnet-with-bridget-marquardt/id1451559688 Libsyn: https://ghostmagnet.libsyn.com NEW - The Ghost Magnet Shop: https://www.cafepress.com/ghostmagnet   Bridget Marquardt Bridget Marquardt is best known to television audiences and pop-culture connoisseurs as the sweet and brainy star of E! She is a former civil trial attorney who is founding director of Life After Innocence. She is also a published author of 14 novels and one nonfiction book. Her most recent work is ANATOMY OF INNOCENCE, stories of the wrongfully convicted are brought to life in collaboration with best-selling mystery and thriller writers in this harrowing anthology. Long thought to be statistical anomalies in an otherwise sound justice system, wrongful convictions happen with frightening regularity through advances in technology and dogged investigation. Nonetheless, very few people understand just how they happen, and more importantly, the consequences. Now the groundbreaking anthology Anatomy of Innocence, edited by Laura Caldwell and Leslie S. Klinger, tells the incredible true stories of over a dozen innocent men and women who were convicted of serious crimes and cast into the maw of a vast and deeply flawed American criminal justice system before eventually, miraculously being exonerated. Here, each “exoneree” is paired with a high-profile mystery and thriller writer (including Lee Child, Sara Paretsky, Laurie King, S.J. Rozan, Brad Parks and others) to produce a unique collaboration.  Learn more at www.anatomyofinnocence.com. As if landing an interview with the lead plaintiff in the case weren't enough, we also managed to sit down with Betsy Rosenblatt, BSI, ASH ("Lucy Ferrier"), who is not only a second generation ASH and BSI, but also a legal scholar who just happens to specialize in intellectual property law (how fortunate is that?). Betsy touches on some additional points that will undoubtedly be of interest. While we weren't able to find an Editor's Gas-Lamp per se, we used a bit of scholarship presented at the annual meeting of the Speckled Band in 1992 by the (now) late Joseph Merriam.
